Beware of noise!!
I had a horrible week of no sleep in this apartment. It is one floor above a bar that is open until 1 or 2 am and is wide open to the street. People are sitting and standing right below the bedroom, and the noise of talking, laughing and even singing gets louder as the night goes on. Closing the windows doesn’t make much difference, and on warm nights it is a shame to have to do so. ( And three metal security doors are slammed shut at 2am to wake you even if you have fallen asleep). Also the bed frame is made of some kind of vinyl that is peeling and pieces of it are all over the floor, and the headboard was wrapped in plastic film (like you use for food) for the same reason! The couch is shoved in a corner, no table surface except the one for eating. Lastly, there are no personal touches in this apartment, this is managed by some property company. Zero information or welcome packet is offered, about how to work anything in the apartment, or suggestions for services or things to do/see in the neighborhood etc. It was clean and spacious, and served the purpose of a place to stay and do some of our own cooking (although a box of salt is all that was there,) and is in a convenient (but not so attractive) area. But zero personality!
