Lovely Place and View

The size and arrangement of the place was perfect for our group of adults - plenty of beds, 3 bathrooms and gathering spaces. The view of the Gulf of Mexico and the beach were magnificent.

The unit is in need of a good cleaning. When we moved the round glass table in the entry, there were six months of dirt, food, dust bunnies and kids toys until the table base. The master shower has extensive mold.

12th Floor Balcony View, plus Beach Front convenience

Our family has stayed in Destin/Miramar around 10 times over the years. We have stayed in beach front homes with private beaches and multi-room condos with public beaches, and places in between. Majestic Sun penthouse was very nice. Positives include: 1) incredible view (bring binoculars); 2) great internet; 3) great A/C; 4) Trash Chute steps away; 5) 1 free beach service and 1/2 price for additional setups; 6) nice workout facility; 7) close parking; 8) nice pool; 9) close to grocery store; 10) spacious master suite and master bath; 11) adequate kitchen and dining area; 12) beach is short walk across street after getting off of elevator; 13) washer/dryer worked well I would definitely stay there again.

Girl's Trip to Destin

The living, dining and kitchen areas were the perfect size for our group. It would have been helpful to know in advance that you have to supply your own toilet paper, TRASH BAGS, SOAP, and paper towels. The 3rd bedroom with a full size mattress is very small for two adults. The OPEN AIR room with small bunk beds offers no privacy since there is no door and people from the 3rd bedroom have to walk thru to go to the bathroom. It was difficult to reach the beach rental company for chairs. It would have been helpful to have information about how that works. We just had to "wing-it" and go to the beach w/o chairs.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Exactly as the pictures show, only I feel in person was better. Views of the sunrise and sunset are spectacular! Very spacious unit. We never really bumped into each other while chilling in the condo. We are a large family with toddlers. The only negative for our family is the mattresses on all the beds need updated. By the end of the week all our backs were sore and we are a very healthy, exercise active family. The washer doesn’t spin the clothing well enough so the dryer has to work harder. The sliding door handles to the balcony on two doors were broken, but able to still open and lock safely. An upgrade on these few mentions would make this rental perfection! We are already planning our stay for next year, so my review is not negative but honest and shows how much our family enjoyed here!

Outstanding view.... but filthy and not equipped for a family of 10.

Stayed here with my family of 10 -- 5 adults, 5 children ages 3-6. Pros: - The ocean view is absolutely stunning. As good as it gets at Miramar. - The convenient location is great. Close to grocery, pharmacy and outlet stores. - Plenty of parking available. We had 3 vehicles. - Loved the bunkbeds... but not a good setup... see "cons" below. Cons: - This place was filthy and needs a thorough cleaning. The tubs looked like they have not been cleaned in a year (black... filthy). - Roaches are present. - The kitchen is not equipped to cook for a family of 10. I had to buy a large skillet. You have a choice of a 2 qt pot or a 3 gallon pot to use. - The dryer takes at least 3 cycles to dry clothes/towels. Needs a good cleaning. - The towels.... oh my gosh..... dingy and pathetically small. Only 2 towels and 2 washcloths for the 3 bedrooms ..... nothing for the 4 bunkbeds. So basically, 6 towels and 6 washcloths for accommodations of 10 people. Nope. - Vacuum did not work... yes... wherever we stay, we keep it clean. - There is no good place to keep your beach stuff. You cannot leave anything outside on the balcony. - The "round" dining table is simply in the way.... you have to constantly walk around it. - Bunkbed room has no door into hall. If you are an early riser.... or stay up late.... you had to be mindful of sleeping children in a room with no door... and sound echoes (tile flooring)/

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had 4 adults and 2 kids in this unit and really enjoyed our stay. The appliances are worked well with the exception of the ice maker (it made very little ice). The unit was very clean and the views out of the master bedroom and the living/dining/kitchen were fantastic. Sitting on the deck was great. The condo facility was quiet. Sofa and living room chairs were comfortable.You walk across the street and you are at the beach, very convenient for the kids. My suggestions would be to better stock this penthouse unit. People coming for a few days or a week would really appreciate some basics in the kitchen. This was the least stocked airnbnb I have stayed in. For example there were no coffee filters, no salt/pepper or any seasoning for that matter, 2 dishwasher pods and 1 garbage bag. The pantry was completely empty. Adding some simple basics can enhance guests experience and prevent unnecessary calls to front desk.In summary this is a great unit and I would stay here again.

There was no bulb in the refrigerator we were told they would bring one never did. There was egg caked on the forks in the silverware drawer. The master bath toilet over flowed as soon as we got there. We had to clean it up and plunge the toilet. The parking was horrible. Be prepared to walk. The overall cleanliness of the unit was not good. They never repaired anything while we were there for 6 days. Thet did refund the cleaning fee to our account. It's about a 2 out of five stars. The view was great.

The pictures were very decieving, it was smaller and needs a lot of renovations. The Jaccuzi tub for one didn1t work at all. I was not informed of this and reported it to the manager, she would give it to one came or fixed it ! The kitchen was so ill equipped, there was only two regular sized glasses the rest were small. The utensils for cooking were very few. This was the worse umit we have rented from seascape and we have rented and owned a few. There wasn't even bath towels that go on the floor! To say the least we were very disappointed and will think twice of renting from Majestic Sun again . We rented at Auriel Dunes and had a very efficent and lovely unit. I know we can't get money back but it was not worth it except for the view!

We had to move on 1-20 to another unit or go home. We have a cruise out of New Orleans in March so decided to stay. We were moved to another unit. This is a different story.
