WEEKLY RENTAL ONY IN SUMMERS & 3 NIGHT MINIMUM OCT 21- APRIL 30th just ask.

Beautifully remodeled 4bedroom/ 3 bath farmhouse (4th bedroom is the front room on 1st floor. Has cozy pullout queen couch, across from full bath. This is great for those with mobility issues). 5th BEDROOM/BATH CAN BE ADDED- is the walkout basement apt, accessed through the kitchen or outside.

Nestled in a quiet field overlooking Gorham Mountain. in Acadia. This house is just 1 mile from hiking and biking in Acadia National Park or lying on the beach. Four miles from Bar Harbor on the free public (seasonal) shuttle loop. Great location for day and evening activities or just sitting and watching sunsets off the back deck. Fully stocked kitchen and bath remodels great for large families. Relax on the deck, while taking in the mountains, sunset and moon rise. Great place for children. Hot tub outside on the back deck. Wood/tile floors throughout. The downstairs is very sunny and open. Because this is our home, the kitchen is fully stocked with all the basics plus many extras. The master bedroom has its own marbled tile bathroom with a large shower. There is a den on the first floor that has a very cozy pullout couch (seriously, I bought it for my parents) and bathroom right next to it, for those not comfortable going up and down stairs. In the bathrooms, soaps and shampoos are provided. The linens and towels are always of high quality, so you feel spoiled on your vacation. As nurses we keep it VERY CLEAN! There is a walkout basement apartment as well for those who need an extra bedroom, or a bit more privacy. The apartment is very bright with the walkout and it is very peaceful down there. It is listed as the "additional fee 500" in the costs. The apartment is accessed down a set of basement stairs or from the outside (not handicap accessible).

Weekly rentals June-October only (Sat-Sat). Three day minimum in the winters.

Great property with lots of sleeping and hanging out options. Perfect location for both Bar Harbor and Acadia. Enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, and Blackstone grill. The host was avaliable, responsive, and helpful yet unintrusive. Wonderful vacation!

We were all VERY impressed with this farmhouse. Everything was beautifully arranged, and it was fully stocked with all that we needed for our visit. We particularly liked the hot tub and the fire pit, where we made somemores one evening. When we wanted to go into town, all we had to do was catch the Island Explorer when it passed by the driveway. All in all, a great experience!

This house was absolutely perfect for our family. We were traveling with 4 adults and 3 kids (ages 2, 4, and 5). They had a high chair and pack-n-play available for us, as well as some kid toys. The sprawling layout, multiple sitting areas, fully-stocked kitchen, and lovely deck/backyard made us feel so comfortable and at home. The foyer has a ton of storage space and hooks which was great for a big family. We enjoyed the big cabinet of games, the large dining table for family meals, and the fire pit in the evening for s’mores. We got to meet Chris and Angie in person and they were so helpful and kind. Our son turned 2 during our stay and Angie dropped off some children’s books wrapped in birthday paper. The location of the house in relation to Bar Harbor and Acadia is fantastic. A short drive to so many awesome places. Seal Harbor Beach, Jordan’s Pond, Cadillac Mountain, and Abel’s Lobster were some of our favorites. If we ever go back to Bar Harbor we will 100% be booking this house again. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Great place to stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse. It has all the amenities for a great vacation. It is very clean and well maintained. Angie was very accommodating and very helpful answering any questions we had. The location is convenient to the harbors and hiking trails and is away from the crowds. Sitting in the hot tub after a long hike and sitting at the fire pit after dinner felt perfect. This is a trip we will treasure for a long while.

Week getaway for family wedding

Just what we needed!

This home did not disappoint. Was exactly as described. Pictures on the listing do not do it justice. Has everything you could need and more. Less then a 10 minute drive to the entrances of Acadia NP. I would highly recommend renting this home for your Bar Harbor stay.

Highly recommend this beautiful home!

We had a group of 11 family members and this home provided ample living space and comfort. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, there were ample sheets and linens, an abundance of outdoor and indoor games, and we loved using the lobster pots to have our first lobster boil. We walked to the coffee shop several times which was an added bonus. The host was extremely friendly and helpful. The property was quiet and it was only a short drive to many Acadia sites as well as close to Bar Harbor. We would highly recommend this home and would love to come back!

Acadia Family Reunion

We had a fabulous time at Angie and Chris's beautiful, clean, spacious Otter Creek property! With three floors and numerous rooms and bathrooms, our family of ten from three different households was able to find privacy when needed, yet also able to gather in comfort as a large group. Angie and Chris were very responsive to our needs and couldn't have been more hospitable. We especially appreciated being able to fit around one table for meals. Our 11 year old twin grandchildren loved the large yard, the swings-both indoor and outdoor, and the games cupboard. The location was also convenient to Bar Harbor, Acadia's Loop Road, Jorday Pond, and Northeast Harbor, and is just a short drive from one of our favorite hikes, Dorr Mountain. It also has an enchanting number of fireflies you may see from the wrap-around porch after dark, not to mention a great view of the night sky! If we ever organize ourselves to return as a family, we'll hope to stay at this wonderful property again.

Literally the best.

We have stayed on MDI many times, as well as lots of other vacation rentals elsewhere. This actually felt like home. It had all the amenities you could ask for, stunning in every way, and a perfect location to access trails and town. We were 3 small families of life long friends and were amazed at the details the home had to offer from cooking utensils to an amazing record collection, fire pit and piano. It is simply perfect. Thank you Angie and Chris and we'll se you next time!

The perfect space for our family reunion

This home had everything we needed for our family reunion: group of 8. Clean and welcoming in a convenient location. Easy access to several trailheads. Short drive to Bar Harbor. Bright sunny spaces for gathering but enough bedrooms to get away. A cozy library served as puzzle-central. The kitchen had everything we needed and large enough for group meal prep. From the country style dining table there’s a grand view of Gotham mountain. A lovely deck, with a hot tub. Lawn games in the evening with fireflies. Great hosts who were quick to help! October getaway

Angie and Chris’s home was great for our large family! The multiple areas to hang out in, made it great while trying to get babies asleep, sooo many family boardgames to choose from, two sets of laundry machines, 2 kitchens, and THE HOT TUB!! The hot tub literally saved my muscles, after an intense hike on The Great Wass Island Preserve (I haven’t hiked in a very long time, especially on trails of changing terrains.). The hosts were responsive when I had any questions. They were very kind hosts! Angie even offered to pick up breakfast items for us (she knew we were traveling with babies), after our flights got delayed for HOURS, causing us to ultimately stay in a hotel in Portland for the first night of our vacation. I would recommend their place to anyone who plans on staying in the Acadia National Park/Bar Harbor area!

Wonderful stay in MDI

This home is a wonderful place to stay in MDI for groups. We had 10 adults and there was plenty of space for all of us. The home is located right next to Bar Harbor and minutes from plenty of trail heads. Our group especially liked using the well stocked kitchen to cook meals every night after a good hike. Angie and Chris really made us feel like we were at home with all the small touches in the house. They were easy to communicate with and had plenty of suggestions for local fun. We would love to stay here again!

Wonderful week Maine!

I cannot recommend this property enough! I reserved this property for my family and I. We were 10 guests in total and there was so much room. The house itself is amazing. It was very clean and organized. The kitchen is well stocked and we were able to make meals for everyone with ease. The bedrooms were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the firepit, utilizing it to make smores on our trip. My family loved the hot tube. The location itself was perfect! We were literally surrounded by Acadia National Park, which was the main attraction that bought us to Maine. The house is also very close to town with nice restaurants and shops. I cannot say enough about our hosts, Angie and Chris. They were absolutely wonderful. They were incredibly kind and very responsive. Again, I cannot recommend this property enough. My family is already planning a return trip back!

Acadian Dream

Perfect house for our adult family! One couple stayed in the downstairs apartment, our son had the main floor and 2 couples stayed upstairs. We had everything available in the kitchen to cook meals for the family. The location was perfect! We also used the fire pit, the deck and the hot tub. Couldn’t be a nicer place.

This is our second stay and we love it. The proprietors are friendly and helpful (they put out a leashes run for our dog!) and the place is clean and well stocked (made many dinners for our family of 12). Lots of comfortable beds. Great layout. Fun games and puzzles. Close to all the best of Acadia. We will be back.

We are a couple who work as Nurse Practitioners in the area. Angie spent years as a Registered Maine Guide leading Kayak trips around Mount Desert Island. We have been renting out our home in the summer for the past 22 years (before VRBO existed). We started doing this when we moved away for a three year stint in rural health. When we returned, people still called, wanting our home back in the summer. We have had a great time renting our home, and have met wonderful people along the way. We are always working to better improve the property. DUE TO CLEANING WE ONLY RENT SAT TO SAT in the summers.

We have always loved Acadia National Park. When I graduated college, at College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, I knew I wanted to stay in the area. As a kayak guide for 10 years, I wanted to be near the ocean. From our house I can hear the bell bouy in Otter Cove. I never get over the view of sunrise from our bedroom windows. I haven't always loved our home. As a 100 year old farmhouse, it had gone through several renovations over the years. It has been an ongoing project. Renting out our property has helped us fund these projects along the way.

We have a wonderful location that is peaceful, yet close to town. The house is spacious with lots of stuff for the kids to do. There is a den, living room, large kitchen and sunroom all on the first floor. Even on a rainy day one would not feel like you were all on top of each other. If you need the extra privacy, there is the added apartment downstairs. We love dogs, and they are welcome, but we also have allergies and ask that you pay an extra cleaning fee and keep them off the furniture. Acadia is a great place for dogs! As is our huge back yard!

Quiet- yet close to Bar Harbor. On free shuttle loop- flag the propane bus down from the top of the driveway. It is a home and not just a rental property. The kitchen is FULLY stocked.
