We had an issue on arrival as the address shown in the communication led us to the wrong villa. Eventually sorted with VRBO by phone-great support!The (correct) villa was excellent especially its position. The villa was clean and larger than we thought downstairs. The hosts were very helpful !Suggestions for improvement- Tv needs upgrading (could not get English channels, Netflix etc). Could provide some essentials in the kitchen - sugar, oil, vinegar, pepper, kitchen roll etcLighting could be better to allow makeup application BUT these are suggestions only and did not spoil the holiday.We would book again!!!

Very reasonable price ,so no over expectations

Such a shame ,this property could be so much better with a little TLC,or just a lick of paint and minimal maintenance externally. Internally quite nice with adequate amenities. Little disappointed on arrival,as an early arrival had been agreed ,but cleaning and prep was still growing on,although we were actually later than agreed. Overall you get what you pay for,so would recommend for family on a budget not requiring 4 star accommodation.

Overall good.

Agree with previous review from Ian S. Little things here and there would make it perfect. Pool was great, kitchen,bathroom and bedrooms were all good. Joao the host was nice and responded to messages. Villa and pool were both cleaned weekly. Maybe update photos as they don't show sunloungers,there is 8 of them. If a family staying the T V is quite small, again not the same one in photo, so not ideal for a family to watch. No aircon but did have desk fans. Villa is about 45 minute walk into the town. We really liked the town. Weather was great so a nice walk for us but you are walking uphill on way back so maybe not suit all. As i said overall it was good and we enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely spacious villa. Perfect location. Owners made us welcome.

The villa is about 45 mins from Faro Airport. The villa is down an unnamed street...which wasn't easy to find in the dark....but the owners went out of their way to meet us at the intermarche and we followed them in the hire car. The villa was lovely. Very spacious and clean and all amenities were available. The pool is a good size. There was 8 of us....4 adults, 3 teenagers and a 9 year old. We stayed around the villa most days, playing in the pool and the odd games of tennis. The nearest beach is about a 15 min walk. Lovely sandy beaches which were popular. The local town is a 20 min walk. There are lively bars, shops and entertainment every night. We very much enjoyed the Saloon Bar. ...had karaoke some nights, which was fun. A taxi home was about 8 euros. It's an uphill walk home, so after a few drinks, a taxi was the best shot...but it's best to try and remember your way home so you can direct the taxi, as there is no street name. We visited the Slide and splash water park....only ten mins in the car....we got tickets from the town. That was a good day out. There is an intermarche about 10 mins in the car, and some other supermarkets around the area. We cooked most nights so we used the oven and the barbeque a fair bit. The owners were brilliant. Great with communicating via email before we arrived and were always available should any issues arise. We had clean towels and sheets as required and towels in their plenty. We used the washing machine, which was handy too. Susanna even brought us WiFi!!!! The teenagers were most thankful!! Thank you so much to joana and Susanna for the use of their villa and for making our stay so pleasant. We will be booking again in the near future. Was the perfect holiday!

Alles war prima und sehr sauber. Nach einer Woche wurde unsere Bettwäsche nochmal gewechselt und es gab neue Handtücher. Hier kann man eknen tollen Urlaub verbringen

óptima escolha casa com vários quartos e 3 casas de banho que é uma mais valia para férias com vários casais.. Deveria de ter mais luz na parte da piscina, de noite pouca luz tinha para usufruir desse espaço

Très bon sejour chez Joao

Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances dans la maison et en Algarve. La maison était propre à notre arrivée. Les propriétaires sont sympathiques, ils ont répondus à nos demandes et nous ont conseillé sur les plages à voir à proximité. Les photos de l'annonce correspondent bien à la maison, qui est spacieuse mais un peu vieillotte. La piscine est super et il y a une belle vue sur la mer. Juste 2 remarques négatives sur la maison: le lave-vaisselle fonctionne mal (il faut pré laver la vaisselle à la main) et les matelas ne sont pas très bons. La fin de nos vacances viennent d'être gâchées par Abritel, qui vient d'annuler la suite de notre séjour au Portugal (fraude). Nous avions une location de 4 nuits à Lisbonne, qui a été annulée par mail hier, alors que nous avions payé le séjour en janvier! Abritel ne nous propose pas de solutions alternatives, ou seulement des solutions où nous devons payer un surplus énorme (il ne reste que des locations pourries ou super cher!!!!). Méfiez vous d'Abritel, il se défausse devant leur responsabilité !

Férias sossegadas em família

Casa muito grande, agradável, excelente para pessoas de mobilidade reduzida. Apenas diria que a instalação de um corrimão junto às escadas da piscina, era um excelente acréscimo. Sem ar condicionado, mas as ventoinhas ajudaram. Não é muito moderna, mas tudo funciona que era o que interessava. Piscina excelente e privada, com chuveiro no exterior. Anfitrião muito simpático. A repetir.

Entspannte Ferien in unmittelbarer Nähe zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten

Mira Cova ist eine großzügige, etwas in die Jahre gekommene Villa. Die Lage ist insofern sehr gut, als sie in unmittelbarer Nähe zu einigen der Hauptattraktionen an der Felsenalgarve ist (Benagil-Höhle, Algar Seco-Höhle, Praia Marinha). Die Entfernung zum Meer ist knapp 20 Minuten zu Fuß oder 5 Minten mit dem Auto. Der Pool ist wunderbar. Den zum Haus gehörenden Tennisplatz haben wir nur wenig genutzt. Einige Details könnte man beanstanden am Zustand des Hauses (z.B. abbröckelnde Kacheln im Pool, Spülmaschine mit sehr schlechtem Ergebnis). Aber in Relation zum Preis des Hauses wären solche Beanstandungen nicht gerechtfertigt. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut!. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermeter war sehr gut und schnell.

No care about ensuring a good experince

As in every situation there's always the positive notes and the negative notes. Let's start wit the positive ones: The location is quite good on a calm neighborhood but still close to the beach and town. Swimming pool is big enough and works well for both for adults and children. On the downside: Very poor maintenance of the property: * Children's park slide can't be used as it is very rusty and with open holes at the top. * Tennis court needing a new painting, ground adjustments, new net, etc * Kitchen furniture with closet doors not closing properly * Water isolation on the shower areas wasn't been replaced in ages and we were asked to be careful when taking shower to avoid floods. * Shower heads very old and falling from their support * Dish washer and laundry machine colliding (not joking) while working. * Tiles of the swimming pool falling off. * Furniture was old but that wasn't the problem. It just looked to be brought from a house where it wasn't wanted anymore. Instead of recycling it, hosts decided to use it on this property just for the checklist. * TV was from the 80's/90's. A flat TV is so cheap these days. It is more acceptable not having one. * Garage was dirty and packed with garbage. If I could sum it up, what strikes me most is the clear lack of from the hosts on ensuring a good experience to their guests. And this is seen on the lack of maintenance described above but also on some attitudes along the week. - Asking us to take care on the shower to avoid water leakage? (that is just a matter of maintenance, not a guests' concern) - We run out of gas (for cooking and showers) one night. We call them and they came shortly to realize that, while they had 4 tanks in place, 3 of them were empty and the 4th had little. Suggestion from them: "take a cold shower, it is ok." Yes, it could be, but you don't propose that to guests. - When checking out at 11AM nobody has shown up and I had to call them. They asked to leave the key inside because they didn't have time. - Clearly the hosts only care about getting the money and do the bare minimum to have the house "usable". There would more to say, but will finish with a couple of recommendations to the property hosts: * Guests are looking for a good and relaxed experience more than a house with a roof. Provide them that. Be attentive. * Do proper maintenance * Refresh the house equipment, decoration and furniture. You don't need such a big investment to improve it a lot.

Casa muito limpa. Check in um pouco tardio. Necessita de algumas melhorias - melhor iluminação exterior (para piscina e churrasqueira); máquinas de lavar roupa e loiça novas; melhor máquina de café. De resto, os proprietários foram simpáticos.

A área da piscina é excelente mas o parque infantil precisa de obras. Tem as comodidades minimas, no entanto a maquina de lavar loiça não lava bem. Mesa para comermos era pequena (ficávamos os 8 muito apertados).

Villa très bien située mais pas bien entretenue.

villa bien situé, mais très très mal entretenue. Les propriétaires plutôt sympathiques et pas envahissants, dommage qu’ils ne prennent pas soin de leur villa .2 chambres en lits ferrailles très très bruyants et pas confortables,ventilateurs maison rempli de poussières et rouillé donc obligé de les démonters pour les nettoyers.espace balançoire impraticable car mal entretenu et rouillé. Télé à revoir, fonctionne très mal. Équipements maison obsolètes, concrètement il y a seulement le minimum et encore... Les extérieurs n’ont pas été nettoyé, petite table de terrasse entretien de la piscine très moyen. Dommage car la villa à beaucoup de potentiel et très bien située et aux calme et les propriétaires ne sont pas du tout envahissant ,villa très spacieuse .

The villa offered a fantastic view, is spacious and very clean. The pool is fantastic for young families . The owners are easily accessible through João and are more than accommodating when required. Highly recommend this property for any family holiday -

Casa sem grandes luxos, mas com tudo de essencial. A zona da piscina é muito agradável e a zona da churrasqueira é excelente para os grelhados de verão. O corte de ténis também está em boas condições para uns jogos entre amigos. Perto de algumas das melhores praias algarvias e um local muito sossegado. Encontrámos a casa limpa e as toalhas são mudadas com frequência. Apenas senti a falta de uma televisão melhor e de wifi.

Lovely spacious villa with sea views

We had a lovely stay - the villa is situated in a convenient, quiet and very pleasant location and has superb views to the sea. Joao was very laid back and had a relaxed but efficient approach. The villa is very spacious and comfortable and lots of linen were provided for the stay. We arranged our own mobile wifi and TV didn't have many English channels. Overall though, our family had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

Pouca organização

A casa é simpática e está situada num local previligiado. Casa limpa e arrumada mas....apenas foi entregue às 19:00 com a desculpa que podíamos ter usado a piscina mais cedo...mas eu não aluguei a piscina mas sim a propriedade. Casa com Tv antiga, mau funcionamento e sem internet. A piscina também estava com a água um pouco suja.
