Great stay

We had such a fantastic time. The condo was exactly as described. The grounds were beautiful and the front desk staff was professional and friendly. They even printed and scanned something for me. We will definitely be returning. The only issue we encountered was ann elevator being out of service. One (of 2) of them was down the entire time we were there. I appreciate that they were working on to try to get it back up and running. Things happen…

I was disappointed that there was no fireplace which was the main reason I picked this condo to begin with and walking in it was the first thing I looked for and it wasn’t there which was a huge disappointment as it was colder at the end of September and was Looking forward to turning it on.

The only thing I would like to see change is the pool cleaned more often during the day. This time there was food wrappers floating in the pool. Broken off pieces of noodles. There was tissues in the pool. Water bottles and pop cans left by the side of the pool. And something stuck down by the drain that we weren't sure what it was but it made us get out of the pool. It seems like the round pool is dirtier during the day than the other square pool. Besides that we love staying at The Islander. It was our 4th year and we will definitely be back next year.

The unit was perfect. We loved having breakfast on the balcony. This was our 1st time to Destin and the beach is beautiful. Will definitely be back. Thank you for letting us rent your property.

One downside was we were not informed the tennis courts were unavailable and the Islander did not have a relationship with the nearby condos that would allow us to play. Operating the television/cable was a little tricky. Overall this is a great place to stay and we are planning on returning.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately our tennis courts were damaged during Hurricane Sally and we are trying to get them fixed. The Condos around us let us use theirs's in the winter but during the peak season felt it was not in their best interest. We have directions at the desk for a local park with tennis courts. Great Little Vacay

Property well kept. Room also very nice, cleanliness was pretty good. I just expected more due to COVID but definitely not a deal breaker. We would highly recommend this property to others.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is pleasing to the eye, but has some issues after you start your stay. On our second day, the AC went out. The Islander was very responsive and not only offered us a different unit, but also offered us the option of getting a one-night refund. Since the highest temps were 80 that week, we decided to stay rather than pack everything up (including the fridge/freezer items.) The unit also has several clogged drains and a broken fridge/freezer combo with the freezer ice maker having such a large leak that a huge ice chunk is forming on the bottom of the freezer. Overall, it was ok, definitely livable, but not what I would call great. We'll return to the Islander, but will probably try another unit next time.
