Villa Katerina - Three Bedroom Villa, Sleeps 8

Overview
Villa Katerina is located in Trapezaki, Kefalonia. This detached
vacation rental property offers air-conditioning, Free Wi-Fi and sleeps
up to 8 people (6 Adults and 2 Children) with 3 Bedrooms and 3
Bathrooms. There is a private pool (South Facing) with barbecue and Sea
views. Walking distance to the Beach and Restaurants.
Layout

Villa Katerina has a large open-plan living room with kitchen and
dining area. Patio doors lead out onto a shaded poolside terrace. The
ground floor also houses one of the twin bedrooms and one adjacent
wc/bathroom. The other two bedrooms are on the first floor; one double
and one twin. Patio doors lead out onto a large tiled and walled
balcony which is shared by both bedrooms. The villa is set in extensive
walled gardens with plenty of shaded dining space and a good sized area
for children to play in. From the large balcony you can drink in the
magnificent sea views.

Living Room
The living room has a ornamental fireplace, dining area, comfortable
sofas, DVD Player, Satellite TV and Free Wi-Fi. There are patio doors
to the pool terrace.

Kitchen
The kitchen features a toaster, coffee maker, washing machine,
dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, stove/hob and oven. There is also
a barbecue outside.

Bedrooms
Villa Katerina has 3 air-conditioned Bedrooms:
Bedroom 1 is air-conditioned with a double bed. En Suite Bathroom
Bedroom 2 is air-conditioned with 2 single beds. En Suite Bathroom
Bedroom 3 is air-conditioned with 2 single beds.
Additional bed available: 2 Single Sofa Beds.
(Travel Crib and Highchair available for free.)

If your party consists of a group where the average age is under 25
years of age, a refundable security deposit of 150 EU, per person, is
required, payable with the accommodation balance or six weeks before
arrival. Upon departure, the villa must be left clean and tidy and upon
inspection, the security deposit will be refunded minus any breakages
or additional cleaning required.

We enjoyed the stay very much. Had a lot of fun in the pool, privacy at the terrace during dinner. The beaches are only 5 minutes drive and the supermarket too. We deffinitely recomend this villa for you perfect family holidays.

Lovely well equipped spacious villa. Stunning area but hilly to get to beaches. Wonderful local restaurants in walking distances. The weather in May was very changeable. I will come back to Kefalonia again

Location/comfort/value

Villa Katerina is a spacious, comfortable, scrupulously clean property, which has excellent facilities (including a large pool) and abundant resources throughout. Beds and furniture were very comfortable and all the domestic appliances (bar the small vacuum cleaner) worked very well. The location of the property (in Trapezaki/Afrato) was just what we wanted: easy to get to and close to some quiet, first-rate beaches; it is within walking distance of several terrific restaurants and a very well stocked and friendly neighbourhood mini-market. This was my first visit to Greece and I would not hesitate to recommend this villa for a family holiday – but the icing on the cake is the friendliness and helpfulness of the local population: a great place in a great location. And remember, just a few words of Greek go a long way! P.S. – We left Kefalonia one day before the out of the ordinary storm hit; we sincerely hope that all the locals and visitors have come through unscathed and that damage to property has been minimal for them.

A beautiful place and lovely people. Its our first holiday in a villa now we are converted. Hope to be booking more holidays with you. Highly recommend. Wonderful! Villa Katerina was fantastic, very comfortable and spacious. The pool and outdoor space was lovely, and inside was clean comfortable and just great. I would recommend wholeheartedly, great location and some nice tavernas in walking distance. I do think that a car hire is necessary however to make the most of the local area.

My family and I came back last week from an amazing holiday at Villa Katerina. This is our first time visiting Kefalonia so I had no idea about areas or beaches when I booked. We were not disapointed. The area is peaceful and has a rustic charm. The walk to the beach is lovely , its very steep on the way back but that never bothered us, even giving my 4 year old a piggy back, great workout. The beach is shallow for quite a way out, so perfect for families. And crystal clear water. Nothing much at the actual beach, which suited us, adds to it rustic charm. It does get hot so maybe invest in a cheap parasol. There is one taverna at the beach which is good. Its a great location for visiting other areas in the south. Argostoli was a hit with the turtles in the harbour. Loudatta beach not far and Agios Thomas and Skala down the road. There are about 4 or 5 tavernas to eat at. Gerifi was out favourite. Desert was good too. And Stamna at the top of the hill with its beautiful views of Zante is perfect for a beer when youve walked up the hill piggybacking your 4 year old! The villa itself is light, spacious and everything you need. Its home from home with the added bonus of a pool and fantastic weather! The caretaker lady was lovely and chatty. Taught my daughter the basic Greek words and numbers. This is our first villa holiday and we are now converted. It was a special family time, one not to be forgotten. Happy kids who didnt want to leave. Me neither.

We enjoyed our stay very much- Indeed we would like to return next year.I would like to point out that earlier this evening on our way out for a meal I inadvertently closed the door without taking the key out thus locking the door with no way of getting back into the villa.This was entirely my error. I telephone Elpida who came within 5 minutes.She was unable to get in herself but told us to get on with our evening and she would sort matters out. About 90 minutes later she sent me a text explaining that the problem had been resolved and that we could get back in. We were very grateful for her help. Elpida asked me to explain what had happened to you.Throughout our stay has been extremely helpful.

The villa was lovely and in a great location the estate villas are nicely spaced out and the gardens are very pretty. The local beaches were beautiful unspoilt and clean. We hired a boat for the day from Lourdas to explore the coastline further and snorkel. The 2 nearest tavernas were sufficient for us and very walkable from the villa. We had a lovely 2 week stay and will definitely return.
