Great getaway

House was huge, we had rooms that no one used. The pool and hot tub were a little dirty but not bad enough from stopping us from jumping in. Would definitely book again!

Private and spacious

The place is very private and spacious !!!!! Definitely near several shopping centers , places to eat etc, great location !! The kitchen has ever pot and pan needed for those home cooked meals !

Perfect for big groups and families

The house is huge and good for big group. The pool and kitchen is good for a family. Lots of bed so you could sleep comfortably. We have a good time a really enjoy the place. I would recommend this place if you have big group and want a big house. Will come back again in the future!

Perfect

We had 16 stay altogether (a mixture of adults and teenagers). The stay was perfect! Plenty of room, and it was in a wonderful location with everything in walking distance. Check in was easy, and everyone I talked to with the process was friendly and helpful. I will definitely choose this place again to stay at in the future!

25 person family vacay

Loved the location, layout, and amenities of this property. There was plenty of room for our large family to be together yet have their own space. 10/10 would recommend. The only slightly off putting part of our stay was the check in process. We booked for Christmas Day and called/inquired several times to make sure they would be open and available. We received a text that same day that they would be closing early and we would need to check in 2 hours before our original check in time.that caused us a bit of anxiety, but ultimately got it figured out. Annual Hunting/Fishing Trip

This is the 5th time we have stayed at this house. For the most part it is perfect. However, the Stove needs to be replaced. It takes forever to cook on the stove and the oven has a burnt out element. In addition, the fire detectors constantly go off when the kitchen gets smoky making bacon.

Annual Family Vacation

The property was nice, we had a great time and a great work out climbing the stairs. Wifi wasn’t too great but luckily we were there for the beach and pool. Highly recommend, big cozy house for a large group. The house had, napkins, toilet paper, detergent, dish soap and a sponge to clean dishes wish. There was also a dishwasher with soap.

Wonderful 10 days!

Really enjoyed So. Padre. House was big and roomy for our family. Good neighborhood. Some problems with appliances which were a little annoying but property management sent repair people out pretty quickly.

Excellent

We had a great time. The place is awesome and we could walk to the beach. We were located on the bay side but not a far walk to the ocean side. Great food every where we went. Weather was a little on the chilly side so we didn't get to use the pool as much as we wanted but we found lots of fun places to hang. Rode horses on the beach and there was a lot of good music everywhere. Great memories ❤️

Great house for a large group

We had a great stay. I only marked it down because there was construction on both sides of the house so it was pretty noisy and they started early in the morning. The house was great for our large group. The house is definitely older and a little run down-but worked great for what we needed. So if you are wanting a brand new house, this one is not for you. Because the house is older, it didnt feel as clean to me. But again, worked great for what we needed!

Oscar & Guadalupe Rodriguez Wedding

My wife & I rented this home for our wedding party and it was even better than we expected! The four bathrooms and extra space made getting ready for the wedding so much easier. The bridal party had plenty of room for hair and makeup and we even used the large balcony and pool area for group photos before the ceremony. Booking this property made things a lot easier on us and took the stress away from the day so we could just enjoy it. Would definitely recommend this house for any large group that would like to avoid cramped up hotel rooms or small condos. Beautiful Home - Some Issues

The home was in a great location, and had plenty of room for everyone. The pool heater did not work when we got there, but the owner had it fixed once reported. The dryer did not work either, and the there certainly were cleanliness issues especially in this time of COVID. After a number of calls SPI and the owner did remedy the pool situation and the cleaning situation to some extent.

Family Reunion Stay

This house was excellent and fit our needs perfectly! We had several families come together from across the US [siblings, cousins and their kiddos]. Having 3 stories to the house was perfect, because it let those with little babies/napping kiddos get some sleep on the third floor, while also letting the older kiddos and adults have fun at the pool or congregate downstairs. It was about a 10 min walk from the closest beach access. Some of the family walked, and others drove to beach access parking. This was also located a quick 5-10 min walk to some great coffee/taco spots as well as a party harbor area with some nice restaurants and bars. The only downsides are an early check out [10 am], but that seems fairly common on the island, The SPI team was quick to respond during the reservation process and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this house and the SPI team!

Previous cleanliness issues NOT resolved as stated

The condition of the showers and kitchen sink was disgusting. Several issues were discussed with the manager, who assured us he would review the issues and get back to us, and he never did. In a prior review that mentioned cleanliness issues, the management stated that there issues were reviewed and resolved. They were not. It is unfortunate, as we travel there 2 to 3 times a year, and will not rent through this company in the future.

Great Summer Vacation!

I don't normally write reviews, but we had such a great stay that I felt compelled to do so. To start, the house is huge! There was plenty of space for our large family and the second family we were traveling with. We've rented a few vacation homes before and usually have to pack into small rooms, but not with this one. It was very comfortable for us and had everything that we needed. The housekeepers had just left when we arrived and I have to note that they did a very good job. We were so pleased with how clean the house was. House was well maintained and everything was in working order for us. We had one issue with a TV which ended up being user error. We called SPI Rentals and they had maintenance out very quickly and when I say quickly I mean within minutes of calling which was incredible! Their staff was very friendly and one of the best rental agencies we have ever used. To sum it all up, we loved the house and we will definitely rent this home again if we take another trip to South Padre Island.

Huge house near the bay

My extended family of 15 people stayed at the house. The house is very large with 4 bathrooms. The only ground floor bath is accessed through a bedroom. I like a firm mattress and the beds were comfortable. Kitchen sink was stained but fully equipped with dishes, pots and pans and two coffeemakers. There were no coffee filters, oil, salt and pepper or spices which are often left by prior guests but not in this case. Plenty of bath towels but few washcloths and no kitchen towels. When we arrived some light bulbs were out, grass was overgrown with dog poop. Owner responded promptly and sent people over that day to address. Pool area has a number of chairs and a large shaded area which was much appreciated. It was a 5 minute drive or 10-15 min walk to the gulf beaches. Near restaurants,grocery and shops We had a great time!

Ok for the price

Check in was easy. I stayed at this property 5-6 years ago and it was nice then and well kept up. When we booked again because our prior experience, I was extremely disappointed to see that the house was not kept up. The pictures make the house look amazing compared to the dingy paint, moldy and cracked showers, poor up keep on the exterior and many others things I considered poor management of the owners. I would tell anyone staying here to bring your own fan. Many of the bedrooms do not have fans and it can get hot in some of the rooms during the day and cooling down in the evening. The pool was cloudy on the last day. Bring your own utensils as there was 5-6 forks and 7-8 spoons. Overall for the price it was average but pretty sure I won’t be coming back after this experience.

Totally disappointed but made it through

This house has good structure and great potential but it's in need of some upgrades. The mattresses are hard as the floor. I have never rented or slept in anything so awful. All of my guest are now complaining about back problem and no one got a good night sleep. I typically like to rent houses on the level of my own home and this house was a disappointment. Put some money into upgrading the bathroom sinks, sink faucets and showers and purchase better quality mattresses for each bedroom. At least the guest would not dread going to sleep. The microwave in the kitchen had been rusted out and they didn't bother replacing it before my stay. The Kitchen sink faucet knob was broken and needs to be replaced. The jets in the spa barely work.

It’s functional

Our family stayed there for a reunion of 22 people. Based on the pictures and the cost of the property, we expected to be walking into a much higher quality house. While it fit our needs in size and number of rooms, it was severely outdated. The furniture was pretty trashed, and the interior and exterior of the house needed updating. Many appliances were broken or unusable, including the grill, which we intended to use and couldn’t. The outdoor furniture smelled moldy, and should be replaced. There was also construction that caused a noise disturbance happening right next to the house the whole time we were there, and we weren’t notified that would be happening. There were not any cleaning items to use, and when we requested a broom, it was very obviously the cheapest broom they could buy from the local store. We were also notified well after our refund date that we would not be receiving any basic paper staples or anything to start with including trash bags and toilet paper, which also felt misleading based on the price. Overall, it worked for our needs, but for the price we expected a lot more than what we received
