This is a fabulous villa. Very clean, very well maintained and equipped, with many extras that other properties do not provide, but make life so much easier! In particular the selection of books is amazing.Air conditioning throughout was a real bonus on the hottest days. The villa itself is spacious and lovely. The grounds are amazing, and we made use of the huge pool (big enough to swim lengths) and the tennis court. It is a short distance outside Tavira in a peaceful location. This is a lovely part of Portugal, and not too touristy.I can't recommend it enough, and hope to return.

Amazing holidays with friends

We had a great time , a lot of great moments outside and out , tennis court , bbq , pool , watching movie with amazing AC when it’s too hot outside . Excellent can’t wait to go back

We had a really lovely Holiday thank you.Just marked a couple of stars down because we were keen to play tennis but the court needs resurfacing. Bounces are very unpredictable currently.

Wonderful Holiday

We waited 2 years to visit but so glad we did! The property was perfect for us with lots of interesting details & places to sit & just enjoy. Dina is a wonderful hostess and made the whole stay even more enjoyable. We love Portugal & this was a fantastic place to enjoy the Algarve from.

We had a wonderful time at Quinta Mimosa. Dina was a welcoming and engaging host. Her communication with us was amazing. Even though we had some rainy days it was a wonderful place to stay. Very beautiful and peaceful.

Quinta Mimosa

Ten days of heaven! This was one of the best places we have ever rented and there have been a few. The property is absolutely gorgeous-and there is a lot of it! The gardens and the pool are stunning. The house is lovely and well equipped. There is an impressive library and lots of seating areas to cozy up to. Dina, our host, was on property to greet us and was quick to respond to any questions. The drive into Tavira to all the restaurants takes 5 minutes. We would love to come back!

Outstanding Villa

Quinta Mimosa sits on top of a beautiful hill and overlooks a beautiful valley and river with partial views of Tavira. It is a 3 minute ride into town and the beautiful sights there. The villa itself is outstanding and 5 star in every respect. New spacious bathrooms in every bedroom. Gourmet kitchen and beautiful grilling are by the pool. The view out into the back yard is stunning overlooking the blue water pool. Orange, lemon, tangerine, avocado and almond trees abound on the 10 + acre site. Fresh squeezed orange juice every day when in season. A truly outstanding villa. You will not be disappointed it you stay there.

A fantastic holiday at Quinta Mimosa - just what we needed. Peace and quiet, beautiful extensive grounds with gorgeous oranges and figs (mangoes not quite ripe!). The pool was amazing and we played tennis every day. The beds and sunbeams were very comfy (we have dodgy backs and are quite fussy) and kitchen very well equipped. Lots of outside seating areas. The hammock could do with being replaced but part from that all lovely. Less than 10 mins into Tavira for supplies and great restaurants. Dina met us on arrival and was very quick to respond to any questions. Emmanuel the Gardner was also very helpful. Thank you Quinta Mimosa!

Wonderful and relaxing time

Our group was 2 couples ( in our 60s) staying for a week. The Villa was perfect as both bedrooms had en suites along with decent sized living areas to relax. We enjoyed the fresh oranges from the groves that are part of the property. It is a very quiet and relaxing environment. We did not walk into the town as it is a long walk - a car is necessary . The pool is large and a focal point of the villa. It does require some maintenance due to missing tiles. the house had a few more cobwebs than we would have expected... that could easily have been removed before we arrived. Overall we really enjoyed the property and would recommend staying there.

Lovely relaxing holiday, beautiful pool & garden,

We have holidayed many times in Portugal & had day visited Tavira before but this was the first time we holidayed in the area - loved it! Our party of 4 (2 couples in our 60's) were delighted with Quinta Mimosa. Its location is quiet & secluded but offers easy access into the town itself. The pool & huge grounds are superb, the BBQ area enticed us into staying in on a few nights when we enjoyed fish brought from the local market with a few glasses of Planalto (my wife's favourite Portuguese white wine). There are plenty of nearby restaurants to chose from if you don't wish to cook. A choice of golf courses nearby too! We think the villa was renovated a few years ago & some parts were just a little tired as was the pool loungers but this is really a minor criticism & the only thing that stops us rating it 5 star. We are quite discerning & we genuinely loved the villa & intend to return next year. The manager (Dina) is always on hand to help & advise. In conclusion we had probably our best ever holiday in Portugal & we have visited over 20 times. Stephen C

We had the most wonderful time at this lovely property. It’s very spacious, well equipped, comfortable and provides a relaxing environment. The pool area is fabulous, clean and a great size for swimming plus the loungers are very comfortable. The tennis court is well equipped and a great addition. The gardens are beautiful and there are lots of different places to sit and relax, including a hammock! It’s incredibly quiet and peaceful but less than 10 minute drive to the supermarket and town. Dina the host is extremely helpful and responsive.

Charming, beautiful with pool & tennis courts

Simply Stunning - I cannot praise enough. A single story residence with ample space inc: large living-rooms, bedrooms, private pool & tennis court - It is a beautiful & private location. The property if very charming & suitable for a family as well as a couple. We found our stay here very peaceful. Its a great location. In summary we found the property perfect for our stay & have no hesitation recommending & we will be back.

Absolutely stunning place! We really felt at home.

Found the home very stylish and incredibly comfortable. Slept well, and enjoined the various spaces within and outside the house. It was easy to find, and certainly easy to stay. The difficult part was leaving! Thanks for making our Tavira trip so special.

Een paradijs

Wij hebben met onze 2 dochters van 9 en 11 jaar 10 dagen genoten van dit prachtige huis. We werden heel gastvrij ontvangen en er was zelfs gezorgd voor water, vers fruit en andere eerste benodigdheden. De tuinman is erg vriendelijk en verzorgt elke dag alles rondom het huis. Het huis heeft echt alles wat je je maar kunt wensen. De ligging is landelijk, heel rustig en mooi. Ongeveer 10 autominuten van het centrum van Tavira. Heel goed te doen. Het heeft een grote en goed onderhouden tuin met een heerlijk groot zwembad. Ook de buitenkeuken met bbq is van alle gemakken voorzien. Het huis zelf heeft echt alles wat je nodig hebt. zelfs meer dan dat! Het is een goede uitvalsbasis voor de omgeving te verkennen. auto is wel een must. Kortom....wij hebben een fantastische vakantie gehad op een paradijslijk plekje, waar we graag nog een keer naar terug gaan.

A magnificent villa on a big estate in Tavira, Algarve Region, Portugal

This magnificent spectacular villa offers everything that you would find in a five stars Hotel and more. It has all the amenities : tennis court, gym, swimming pool with built-in bar and barbecue. The friendly gardener Emanuel welcomed us warmly and brought us fresh strawberries and eggs every morning. The villa is immaculate and extremely clean, it comes with a state of the art fully equipped California kitchen. The house is furnished with style and high standard quality. It is surrounded with beautiful gardens, flowers, trees and you can pick your own fruits, vegetables and herbs. I particularly enjoyed reading in the library room with stunning views from all big bay windows and lounging by the swimming pool. The villa is a short drive to Tavira Centre where you would find many great local fish and seafood restaurants. My husband and I had the most wonderful time and would make this quaint villa on the big estate on top of our lists for future vacations.

Quinta Mimosa is a luxurious and completely private designer restored farmhouse within its own walled grounds of around 7 acres about 5 minutes drive from Tavira and the sea. It is equipped with every comfort and beautifully furnished.

It has well manicured gardens, lawns, terraces and amazing views over the surrounding countryside to the sea. It has its own huge secluded pool surrounded by bougainvilleas clad stone walls and towering palm trees. Next to it there is a wonderful roofed barbecue area with fridge and bar. Play tennis on the private clay tennis court with its own spectator area for your friends ! or limber up on the weight training and exercise machines.

Set among palm trees and surrounded by orange, lemon fig mango and many other fruit trees you will fall in love with this exceptional country residence. Enjoy a refreshing drink made from your own oranges and lemons while reclining on the cushioned loungers next to the huge pool.

Quinta Mimosa has Wi-Fi, lots of books and videos with extra large plasma television and satellite and internet tv ( including Netflix movies) with sports channels.

Quinta Mimosa is very cosy and comfortable to come during the Winter of Spring season. Floor heating and fireplace keep the villa warm.

Enjoy a holiday with comfort and the feel of luxury at Quinta Mimosa about 35 minutes to Faro airport, 1,30 h to Seville
