Giovanni was an amazing host, really welcoming and helpful. The apartment was really clean and well equipped and in a great location. We would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Amazing Host

Giovanni was a great host. Location was away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist crowds. Apartment was within 15 minute walking distance to Doge Palace and St. Mark’s Square. Giovanni has a guidebook for nearby shops and restaurants in the area. Helped tremendously. Apartment was close to Celestia water bus station and Coop grocery store. Location made it easy to get to Murano, Burano, and train station. Giovanni periodically would check-in on us to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. Definitely, would recommend this location for anyone coming to Venice.

First time in Venice

We had a wonderful stay. Our host was helpful and friendly. He met us at the apartment, gave us a tour and explained what we needed to know. He gave us a map with restaurant recommendations, close by market and coffee shop. Very helpful! There are a lot of stairs but not a problem if in reasonable shape. Quiet neighborhood. A 15 minute walk to St Marks square. Thank you for sharing your place with us.

Clean, quiet and roomy

This apartment worked great for us. Close in but off the busy streets, it was very clean and had everything we needed. You do go up several steep flights of stairs which is common in Italy. I just wanted to note that. Giovanni was a wonderful host. Thank you!

Wonderful quiet and central location

Wonderful spot for our family with 12 year old and 18 year old boys. The location was quiet and easy walking distance to everything in Venice. We had a wonderful time during our 3 days/nights in Venice!

Wonderful apartment in perfect location

My family of 5 had a wonderful stay in Venice. The apartment is in a perfect location to walk to all the sights and also very close to several vaperetto stops. A coffee shop is less than 5 min away and the grocery market is also very close. We were met at the water shuttle and brought to the apartment after a short walk. We got an introduction with map on where major sights and restaurant recommendations. We couldn’t ask for a better host or location.

Great spot in Venice

Nice apartment, 15 minutes walk from Saint Mark’s Square. Giovanni was extremely helpful, responding quickly to my texts, meeting us at the dock and getting us to the apartment.

Great stay in Venice

We really enjoyed our time at Giovani's apartment. The location was central but also in a quiet residential part of the city. Clean, quiet, comfortable beds and bathrooms. My best sleep in Italy. The annotated map and guidebooks were also much appreciated! We would stay here again.

Roomy and Close to Amenities

Owner met us at the water bus station and guided us to the property. Walked us through the property and provided a "Guest Manual" which included recommendations for restaurants and excusions. We highly recommend this place.

Il luogo ideale per soggiornare a Venezia.

La casa si trova in un quartiere un po' defilato (vicino all'ospedale) e 5 minuti a piedi dalla fermata del vaporetto 5.2 Celestia. Il signor Giovanni è stato gentilissimo, è venuto a prenderci a Celestia. L'appartamento è nuovo, come da foto, comodissimo (10 minuti a piedi da S. Marco, 5 minuti dall'ottimo ristorante Le bandierette), silenzioso, pulito, con tutto il necessario. Insomma, di meglio non si può!

Great spot!

Lovely apartment! And Giovanni was so nice! There was a problem with the air conditioning upon arrival but he had already planned for a portable unit. Location is in a quiet neighborhood away from the crowds, which is what we like. Overall, great spot!

Amazing place we’d love to go back

The property was very clean and homely. It’s up a few flights of stairs but we knew this in advance and it wasn’t a problem. Giovanni gave us lots of recomendations and there were guide books and maps in the flat. It’s in a fab location 10 minutes from the centre but in a very quiet area so we could explore the less busy parts of Venice easily and the flat itself was really quiet. Thank you for having us !

Nice location and perfect for our family of 5 for an overnight stay.

We traveled to Venice to embark for a cruise but decided to fly in a day early to experience the city. It was hard to find a hotel room for a family of 5 so we decided to go the VRBO route. We found this property and it was perfect for our one night stay and family. It was in close proximity to all the major Venice attractions but was also tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. There were a lot of stairs to get to the unit but we knew this based on other reviews and it wasn’t an issue for our family. If you have issues with stairs you might want to consider another location. Giovanni the owner was great and really helpful throughout the process. He also offered to meet us at the dock and walk us to the unit. Overall a great experience.

Spacious, quiet apartment in a great location

This apartment was a great base for our family to explore Venice. The big tourist locales are within walking distance, plus there is a ferry stop very close so you can reach Murano, the airport, and locations across the island. The apartment itself was comfortable and had everything we needed. Giovanni was a wonderful host. Great communication. He met us at the ferry stop to show us to the apartment, and also made several recommendations for places to eat that were really great. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Cute stay

The stay was as expected. Pictures were accurate to accommodation. It was nice to have a second bathroom. Note it was the third floor so quite a few stairs especially when carrying luggage 😀. Giovanni was very friendly and his book had a lot of suggestions. We would likely stay there again.

Beautiful stay

The house is beautiful and clean in a very quiet area. The rooms are large and spacious. Great restaurants nearby and all the main tourist attractions within an easy walking distance. Giovanni was very helpful meeting us at the ferry and walking us to the unit, taking the time to show us the house and other useful information. He was also helpful and responsive during our stay.

Finaly Venice

Giovanni is a wonderful host. His English is poor but our Italian is worse. The apartment is in Castello is a bit isolated from the hustle and bustle, but some people want that. The fourth floor without an elevator is a no-no for older guests. Once up the steps the apartment was fine. Venice to our surprise in early October was way too crowded. In the future we will probably stay in Padova and take a day train up to Venice w/o luggage.
