This is a clean, spacious, modern apartment right on the canal in a less touristy part of Venice. It was a very nice place to stay for our group of four adults. I think being a little further away from the heavy crowds around St. Mark's made our time in the city much more enjoyable. Everywhere we wanted to go was still within a 15- to 20-minute walk, and the apartment is very conveniently located for catching the vaporetto to Murano and Burano. One thing to be aware of is the morning noise. Garbage and shipping boats stop at the dock right next to the apartment from about 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM. It was a bit bothersome on our first morning, but we quickly accepted it as just part of "daily life in Venice."Our hosts accommodated our late check-in (with a stipulated fee), and Orial was incredibly helpful. He even happened to come by while we were waiting for our water taxi on departure day; when the taxi was running a little late, he called the company for us and helped us load our luggage onto the boat when it arrived. My only minor critique is that I found it a little odd that the apartment did not provide basic bath soap or coffee, which was a first for me with a Vrbo rental.
