Old Town Flats Casa Burguerini Duplex

The building is located in the historical centre of Valencia in ‘el Barri del Mercat’. On the Medieval origin building- probably from the fourteenth Century- a recent intervention has permitted recover this historic building, maintaining the construction and topologic elements of interest. Casa Burguerini is made up of seven comfortable and welcoming apartments, filled with character and history, as it’s located next to ‘la Lonja de la Seda’, which was considered Heritage of humanity by UNESCO in 1996 and one of the finest pieces of Gothic architecture. Old Town Flats, a different hotel concept located in the centre of Valencia, quality and attention, wants our clients to find themselves involved in the charm and tradition of the city.

L’appartamento è molto pulito, ordinato e corrisponde perfettamente alle foto. Tuttavia, l’host non è stato molto presente in caso di bisogno: abbiamo avuto un problema con il codice della porta e siamo rimasti fuori per circa un'ora, senza ricevere un grande aiuto nell’immediato. Nel complesso il soggiorno è stato buono, ma l’assistenza potrebbe essere migliorata.

The location of the place is excellent, as it's next to the famous market in Valencia. Also, one can visit all the major places in Valencia. We've two comments about the unit. First, a foul smell lingered in at all time in the bedroom and ensuite. Secondly, the AC on the main floor didn't work. We

Too stinky for us

Upon entering the apartment, there was a terrible smell. It smelled like the sewer. It came from the upstairs bathroom. Closing the door helped, but when you opened that door...wow! Really sour smell, that even air freshener didn't really work. The only time it let up was when we ran the shower. We had an issue with payment. The landlord said our credit card did not work. (it worked everywhere else in Europe) We checked with our bank and no request for payment was ever received. With the threat of them cancelling our reservation, we had to figure out how to wire money directly to their bank. That was totally stressful. We were happy the bathrooms were clean and beds were comfortable but the kitchen tile floor was filthy. There wasn't a kitchen towel (cloth or paper) in the place. Location was good and we didn't spend much time in the unit as we were close to many restaurants and bars. Certainly wish we could give the place a higher rating, but until the stench is gone we cannot. Some how, we missed this in reading other reviews.

Nice convenient property

Clean, close to central market. Good air conditoning. As advertised. Could use a couple more supplies (tp, paper towels, trash bags) and instructions but owners were responsive.

Convenient to Old Town Attractions

This unit is great for a small family on a budget. Can walk easily anywhere in the Old Town. Bathrooms are small and cramped and a bit worn, but generally clean. Noise in the alleys can be annoying on weekend nights.

Modern designer apartment in the centre of the old town.

Loved this beautiful place perfect for a family or two couples. So close to the central market, shops and plenty of restaurants and quaint places to have a drink and snacks. The area is lively at night but the apartment itself was quiet and peaceful. Very walkable and taxis/public transport makes it easy to visit the rest of the city. Basic cooking facilities but comfortable if you plan to eat out and there are so many options nearby that it was no problem for us!

Valencia apartment stay

We stayed in the lovely Valencia apartment for 2 nights. This is a different stay as you never meet the host. The apartment is located where the taxi cannot get to the door as the streets are narrow, so he dropped us off and we found our way. The instructions to get into the apartment were emailed to us just before we arrived. There is a keypad for the apartment building and the apartment door. The apartment is on the 3rd floor, also the top floor and has a nice elevator. The apartment is clean and very bright. 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. One on each floor. The bedrooms are large with king-size beds and with a lot of storage. The towels are large and lovely. There is no dishwasher and minimal kitchen utensils. There is a small apartment size refrigerator. There is a washing machine and drying rack.

Perfect in every way

This apartment is located in the perfect location to walk to different plazas, restaurants, museums, etc. We really enjoyed the convenience of being able to do everything by walking. The apartment is located on the top floor (3rd floor) and there is a small elevator as well as a staircase. For the inside of the apartment, it is very well laid out and allows for both privacy or time together. My son said the fold out couch-to-bed was the most comfortable he had slept on. We would select this apartment again on our next trip to Valencia.

Location, location…an authentic Valencia experience.

Excellent choice for location and comfort. Great for two couples. Only suggestion is the addition of a coffee machine (Nespresso, Tassimo or Keurig). That said, it is very easy to find americano coffee nearby.
