Great location just off the Grand Canal

Well equipped apartment on small canal but within short walk to Grand Canal and lots of restaurants and cafes. Check in excellent and personal. We asked for early check in and were accommodated even though they aren’t usually able to do this. Location, location, location!! Would stay here again.

Couldn't believe how great!

The apartment is big and roomy. The location is off the tourist path. It is maybe a few short minutes to the Accademia Bridge. Beautiful view up and down a small canal. Add the very welcoming Giovanna and you are comfortably in the Venice.

Exellently located and spacious first floor apartment in a quiet area a short walk from water bus stops. Kitchen was well equipped and functional, though there is no oven, and the furniture is basic but functional and comfortable. The amenities included wifi which worked well except with our chromecast streaming device. There was even detergent provided for the washing machine which was a nice touch. There are also mosquito repellent devices provided and we recommend using them, we didn't the first night and were bitten lots but using them on subequent nights seemed to help I'd also recomment wearing a spray or cream at night. We enjoyed our first visit to Venice, and our stay in this apartment, enourmously and the only negative was the lack of pre-arrival communication. Despite messaging weeks ahead with our flight times and requesting check-in instructions there was no reply or to subseuqent reminders. After becoming increasinly concerned at the lack of response I eventually contacted customer services a few days before our arrival and they managed to prompt the owner to respond to our messages. We were then given clear and easy to follow instructions on how to get to the apartment from the airport using public transport and about the tourist tax we'd have to pay, and were told a late check in was OK (a subsuent message informed us a small fee would be charged) so it was all fine in the end.

Excellent location, some problems

The communication with the on site rep was excellent, she met us promptly at the vaporetto stop and gave us very useful local information. The apartment is in a very good location, fairly quiet on a canal and close to vaporetto stops and the Accademia bridge. It’s spacious, sunny, and nicely laid out. The view of the canal adds to the charm, and the back looks out on a cute little garden with trees. The bathroom is modern, the shower is on the small side though and I missed having shelves for our toiletry bags. The washing machine was welcomed. But we were annoyed by several issues which the owner could easily fix: it lacked basic kitchen supplies (no toaster, no condiments other than salt, no paper towels or napkins, only one small kitchen towel, poor kitchen knives etc). There was no bathroom soap or shampoo provided and the bathroom toilet sometimes does not flush. There is also an ant problem in the kitchen (we killed hundreds of them). The decor is all budget IKEA including a thin bed mattress which was rather uncomfortable. Overall this would be a terrific apartment with a little more effort by the owners.

a perfectly lovely place to stay in venezia

we've stayed twice in bragadin de palma--and it is perfect for enjoying and exploring venice. the apartment sits just near a small bridge on a scenic side canal, conveniently tucked in between the zattere and accademia vaporetto stops. the flat is crisp, modern, and roomy, with large windows that bathe the rooms in sunlight--and allow for plenty of fresh air. there is a cozy kitchen and modern bath plus a large bedroom. best of all, you are in a quiet, non-touristic location, so all you hear are church bells, footsteps, and the happy voices of children on their way to school. bragadin is close to the peggy guggenheim collection, the accademia gallery and accademia bridge. campo santa margarita, arguably the nicest campo in venice, is a few minutes away. and there are many good restaurants and cafes nearby to take a morning macchiato or afternoon spritz. don't pass up this opportunity to live well in an authentic part of venezia.

Great location

A really excellent apartment, beautifully bright and spacious. It is sparsely but thoughtfully furnished with very good facilities. Luca was extremely welcoming and helpful. Great location, just perfect for us; two artists visiting the Biennale. We definitely hope to return.

un magnifique appartement idéalement situé pour visiter Venise

Un accueil agréable dans ce bel appartement très lumineux et décoré avec goût, situé au 1er étage dans le quartier du Dorsodouro. Les grandes fenêtres du séjour et de la chambre donnent sur un rio, enjambé d'un petit pont avec une vue très dégagée (une jolie propriété juste en face) ce qui met immédiatement dans l'ambiance de Venise. L'arrêt "Accademia" du vaporetto est à moins de cinq minutes et cela permet de se rendre facilement dans tous les différents quartiers si l'on ne veut pas faire trop de marche à pied. La literie est parfaite, les nuits sont calmes, le confort, total. Quant à Venise, elle garde tout son charme, surtout si, pour tenter d'échapper à la foule, on aime parfois se perdre dans ses ruelles et ses petits passages sous les maisons à la recherche de puits joliment décorés ou de ponts originaux...

Light and space

We had a wonderful time in Venice, the appartment is perfectly located, spacious with everything you need. The canal is active and beautiful to watch, the garden view the other end of the apartment Is welcome and pretty. A wonderful stay was had.

Spacious and well located.

This was our second stay at Bragadin of Palma. We stayed 1 week at the apartment and, once again, found it to be a wonderful home base for exploring Venice. It is ideally located in the Dorsoduro District, just out of the mainstream tourist paths, yet easily close enough to enjoy all that Venice has to offer. The apartment is as photographed and described in the listing; spacious, modern, bright, and airy. Vaporetto transportation is close and easy with the Accademia Bridge stop in one direction and the Zattere stop in the other direction. We enjoyed listening to and viewing everyday Venetian life passing by on the canal below. We also enjoyed exploring the entire Dorsoduro District, which is a charming part of Venice that many tourists don’t experience.

A wonderful apartment !!!

This apartment is in a very nice and in a quiet area. It is easy to reach from the vaparetto-stop at Zattere, but also from Accademia and Salute. I stayed for 10 days March/April 2017, and the apartment was perfect for me as a singel-traveller. Everything was clean and tidy. The apartment is very bright, and you look out to the canal "Rio de San Vio". I loved to wake up listening to the boats outside, and it is very fascinating to se what they are transporting. Giovanna was very kind and helpful. I have been to Venezia many times before, and stayed in many different apartments, but I hope this one is free for my next visit. Thank you Giovanna and Ariella

Tolle Lage, sehr helle Wohnung, aber auch sehr "basic"

Wir haben Ende Januar, Anfang Februar 5 Nächte in der Wohnung verbracht. Der Empfang durch Giovanna war sehr herzlich, ausführlich und sie hat uns viele Tipps gegeben, allerdings sind wir schon ziemlich "Venedig erfahren". Die Wohnung war recht kühl, wir haben die ersten drei Tage viel gefroren, dann war das Gemäuer langsam aufgeheizt. Die Wohnung hat eine zauberhafte Lage zum Kanal San Via hin, ist sehr hell, aber auch sehr spärlich ausgestattet. Da hat jemand einen Rundgang durch Ikea gemacht und mit dem Ergebnis die gesamte Wohnung eingerichtet. Es hat uns nicht so gestört, da alles Wesentliche in Küche, Bad und Schlafzimmer (zum Glück ein großes Federbett!) vorhanden ist. Wer allerdings auf eine liebevolle, individuelle Einrichtung Wert legt, ist hier falsch am Platz. Resümee: Sehr netter Empfang, die Lage ein Traum, alles Andere äußerst reduziert.

Good location

This apartment is well located yet very quiet at night. The rooms are of adequate size and there is good closet space. The only downside was that the apartment was not well stocked with essentials. For example there were no paper towels, virtually no basic cooking needs such as salt and pepper, olive oil, butter, bottled water, etc. Also be aware that, as is true in most European apartments, there are no screens and even at the end of September, mosquitoes were a problem.

The perfect apartment in the perfect location

My husband and I loved this apartment and will definitely come back. Giovanna was terrific in introducing us to the apartment and the neighborhood. The pictures of the apartment are exact. It was bright and spacious. We loved watching the local boats going by under our window. We loved the Dorsoduro and being out of the main tourist area but easily accessible to it all. Boat transportation was very close and easy. We loved being able to wander into nearby areas and eat in great restaurants where we were the only tourists.

Très bonne adresse

Accueil très sympathique et très chaleureux de la propriétaire ( elle parle très bien français , ce qui facilite les choses quand on ne parle ni italien ni anglais ). Possibilité de mettre les bagages dans un local de l'immeuble le dernier jour du séjour ce qui évite de chercher une consigne ! Des propriétaires arrangeants . Appartement très bien situé et très bien équipé. Correspond tout à fait à l'annonce.

A Venetian Experience

Met at the vaporetto stop by the charming Giovanna we strolled the Dorsudoro waterfront and then a short walk along our canal to this beautiful apartment. Sunny, spacious and modern, the apartment has every convenience for a comfortable relaxed stay. A very fabulous bed (great bedroom) as well as an upmarket kitchen and bathroom. Open the windows and watch the gondolas, fishing boats and all Venice traffic slip along the waterway. Plenty of activity to watch but just far away enough from the real tourist areas to give a semblance of real Venetian life. Giovanna gave us lots of information on places to visit and things to do and it's all an easy level walk to everywhere (the bridges are easy walking). Alternatively ride the vaporetto around the island to get a glimpse of many of the magnificent palaces sitting right on the Grand Canal whose frontages can only be seen from the water. So much to see and so little time but a wonderful place to return after a full day of wandering and exploring. Thank you Giovanna

Perfect place to stay

We stayed 7 nights at Bragadin delle Palma, and really enjoyed it. The apartment is just as photographed and described in the listing. Inside, it is spacious, modern, and has all the needed conveniences. It is in a good location near vaparetto stops, Accademia Bridge, and many stores and restaurants. The rate is very reasonable for Venice. Check in was easy and pleasant. Giovanna met us at the Zattere stop, and gave us needed information about the apartment and Venice. We definitely recommend this apartment.
