Berwick at Wales was a wonderful place for our annual Cambria gathering with our friends and goddaughter. The home is in a quiet neighborhood with a stunning view out to the sea from the deck. It provides easy access to the Fiscalini Preserve, where we love to walk and/or jog. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for cooking and baking, the living room is spacious, and the bedrooms very comfortable. We hope to return again soon!

Lovely home. Well appointed. Great location.

This home was very comfortable, check in was very easy, with access to our info and entry instructions after closing hours. We couldn’t arrive until 10 pm, and the contactless check in made it so easy. We had a lovely stay.

Great Place to Stay!

From the check in process to the actual home everything about this place is well thought out, clear, concise, easy to understand and beautiful. The home was spotless, the accommodations comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet, safe and welcoming. Close to the beach and everything else you want to do - we enjoyed every minute of our stay here and highly recommend this place!

beautiful home

We were in Cambria for a family reunion and this house was a lovely place to stay. The vaulted ceilings and open floor plan on the main level are just lovely. The kitchen was also nicely stocked which really helped as we flew into the area and couldn't bring the usual basics. The only negative was the check in process -- having to go to the property management company to get forms and instructions was a bit of a hassle and seemed really unnecessary. We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing with a beautiful view

The property is everything you could ask for. Our favorite parts were the deck with a view of the ocean and the fireplace in the living room. There is everything there you could need and the beds were comfy. It was great.

Fantastic home in a gorgeous area

Don’t wait. Book this house. Loved every moment. Probably the best appointed home we have ever stayed in. Many nice little surprises. Great rooms…lovely kitchen and easy living. Great hikes nearby. Will be back!

Nice house

No propane for BBQ, dangerous metal stakes each side of the driveway, mattresses should be replaced. House is beautiful will consider staying again.

Wonderful rental house

This was a very well equipped and very clean rental! The layout of the house was perfect for our family. They even had some cute stuffed animals for the children to play with! When we arrived there was a small issue with a window shade. The property manager quickly sent a handyman who fixed it and found another screen door needing attention and he fixed that too. We highly recommend this rental and will definitely consider it for future family visits to Cambria.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stunning Berwick at Wales is the perfect house, and this is the eighth time I have visited. The layout and furnishings of the house are comfortable, cozy and inviting. The kitchen has everything you need. The location is perfect, you can walk to the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve, and the neighborhood is lovely and peaceful. I spent a lot of time reading on the window seat in the great room, and I loved watching the neighborhood deer stroll by. We had a great time sitting on the deck in the afternoon sipping wine and having snacks (purchases from the Cambria farmers market and the Cookie Crock market, and thank you for the bottle of Tempranillo). This house is a sanctuary for me, I feel the peace and tranquility that I crave, and I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Cambria.

Well maintained house and perfect for our family stay

We decided this year that, as a family, we would not do all the hassle of gift buying and stress of choosing gifts for everyone. Instead, we chose to all go to one nice location and just do what we value most at Christmas - be together and enjoy our time as a family. So, we rented the Berwick at Wales house for 5 days and had the best Christmas ever. No stress, no hassles. Just family time. Cambria was the perfect location and this house was the perfect place to stay there. The property was clean and well maintained. The house was well-stocked with all the furniture and kitchen items needed to accommodate our entire family of 6 people. The TV and internet and entertainment system worked well and we were even able to get the Chiefs game on Netflix! And...we were able to park both cars in the garage. This property was exactly as advertised and the Scenic Coast Management people were very nice and accommodating for anything that we needed. One of the best vacations we've ever had. I would recommend this property and management company to all who want to rent a good property with confidence that it will be just what you expect and more.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was probably the tenth time we have stayed in this great house! Unfortunately, our last. The 3rd bedroom switched from 2 twins to a queen bottom bunk, with a twin bunk over it! Getting into the queen bed that is raised off the ground for storage underneath was a problem! And the bunk on top left minimal space. for the queen sleeper-head banging and claustrophobic! The top bunk is way to high and you have to use the bottom bunk to get up in it! Doesn't work 4 ladies! Luckily the new couch was comfortable for the 4th sleeper.

Lovely House for a Cambria visit

Reviewer Comments: We are part time Cambria residents and we rented this house for use by family members coming to visit for a weekend whom we did not have space to accommodate in our home. The location was perfect and the house was clean and very well set up. The view from the deck is excellent and the house was warm and welcoming. I recommend this house highly and we will likely rent it again when we have more visitors that our home can accommodate.We had two minor issues:1. Internet was not working when we arrived and it took awhile to find the internet router to re-boot it. Once we did that, it worked fine.2. The bunk bed in one of the bedrooms really only sleeps one person as the lower bunk is very close to the upper bunk (hazard of knocking one's head if one sits up at night.) I understand from the property management company that the owner has already ordered a different kind of bunk bed for this room.

Technology Hassles are not a Vacation

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed with CVR many times over close to 20 years. This stay was a hassle, and unsatisfactory. I had important Zoom meetings and the internet kept going down. The television kept going down. We spent a couple of nights without hot water in the downstairs bathroom. The hot water problem was fixed, and the individual who was in charge of fixing the internet did a good job, but it was a constant hassle. We did not get a restful stay, it was very tense the entire time due to the internet problem. I called the "emergency" number more times in this one visit than in all the other times I've stayed in a CVR, which were as many as 4 times per year, from around 2002. We were disappointed and think that some compensation should be offered for the hassles we had to go through.

Birthday Getaway

The house/ location are excellent. It would be nice if the property management and Vrbo were linked together. The email she sent doesn’t have Vrbo in the subject line, only an abbreviation for her business, consequently I had no idea an email was sent from her as their too is no mention of the her business name in the listing. Could use new pillows in the master. The barbecue outlets aren’t functioning, if you roll the barbecue by the dining room on the deck you will find working outlets for the electric barbecue. All in all, a Great Stay!
