A lovely getaway

Excellent villa and perfect if you are looking for a relaxing getaway in a very nice village, not touristy and a great store and butcher shop which was excellent and great value! Villa was lovely and private - pool was great (even though a bit cold) A welcome pack would have been nice with some essentials (charcoal, matches, bread and milk). Would also be handy to have a welcome folder with places to eat, locations to visit, local markets etc - although you can google these. Instructions for cleaning schedule would also be helpful.

Wonderful stay at this charming Crete villa! The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming - despite a small language barrier, we managed perfectly with Google Translate and smiles. The villa was modern, spotlessly clean, and adequate for our group of three. While smaller than photos suggested, it had everything needed. The compact 2x2m pool was perfect for cooling off.Excellent location - easy walk to town with three fantastic tavernas, good supermarket, and bakery nearby.Minor maintenance points we shared: rain shower head needs replacing (handheld shower worked as backup), and second shower head needs attention. Nothing major, but worth noting.Key suggestion for property management: provide clearer arrival instructions! We only got GPS coordinates for the villa itself, directing us through extremely narrow streets unsuitable for cars - luckily we stopped before attempting to drive through! Please include the specific stone project number and GPS coordinates for gate entrance opposite the football field, plus highway directions avoiding tight Pigi village streets entirely.Despite these small points, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this villa. The hosts' warmth made our stay truly special!

Good afternoon, Thank you sincerely for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay and felt the warmth and hospitality of the owners — sometimes smiles and Google Translate really do work wonders! It's also great to know the villa was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for your group, and that the location and nearby amenities added to your experience. We truly appreciate your constructive notes regarding the showers and arrival instructions. Your feedback is valuable, and we will ensure the shower heads are checked and improved immediately. Regarding directions, thank you for highlighting the navigation issue — we will update our arrival instructions to include clearer access guidance and exact entrance details to avoid narrow village streets. This will definitely help future guests arrive smoothly. We're very happy to hear that despite the small points you mentioned, your stay was wonderful and you would recommend the villa. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we would be more than happy to welcome you back again soon for another relaxing stay in Crete! Warm regards, Michalis Makrykostas Oreotravel Agency
