Perfect Chianti location

Nice townhouse in a wonderfully centralized area. We wanted to explore the Chianti region from a 'home-base' and the Castellina in Chianti area was ideal for us.

Peaceful and beautiful in the country

The house in Localita Granaio is perfect for a relaxing stay. Easy access to Firenze, Sienna and San Gimignano. Highly recommend.

Excellent stay in Tuscany

This is a truly exceptional place to spend a vacation. Pietro is an incredible host and he provided a very clean apartment and even let us borrow tennis racquets for our children. We spend 5 wonderful days touring the Tuscan countryside.

Rooms lovely and clean. Everything else same. Host very friendly, personal and helpful. Nice pool.Loved to sit under the fig tree in the shade.Staircase very steep, one has to be very! careful going up and down. Steps should be marked with white strips. Some in the house too. Only one toilet/bathroom.Place hard to find. No indication from the Main Street where to enter the dirt road. Navigator doesn’t help.Overall a wonderful area and place, would recommend it.

Great Natural surroundings

This is a great place to stay and use as a base to visit any city within 90 minutes drive. Pietro is a great host and the restaurants he recommended was great. Fantastic to breathe clean air and walking through the vineyards on my early morning jog!

Nice location in the heart of the Chianti area

We really loved the ancient surrounding in a lovely environment. We spent our vacation in January; spring might be even nicer. Our host, Pietro, is really a super host; very attentive and customer oriented. The appartement is fully equipped; we did not miss anything. Our thanks to a relaxing stay go to Pietro.

Very nice apartment in the landscape

The apartment is fully equipped and very comfortable , has a nice terrace in direction south with a lot of garden furnitures including 2 sun lounger. Pietro is a fantastic host who tries to make the vacation a perfect experience.

Magnificent stay in a special environment

We had a great experience in a lovely environment. The apartment is located in the middle of the Chianti wine area while still located close to a town. The house includes everything you need for a holiday. You have a magnificent view in the garden. The owner is very hospitable and helpful for suggestions and support. We had a great stay !!!

perfect for a relaxing holiday

Everything in the house and the area around the house was a described. The kitchen is well equipped and everything you need is there. The pool is very clean. Mr. Vanzi helps whereever he can. The area is very quiet and calm - perfect for a recuperative stay. Marvellous.

Heaven in Chianti

We had wonderful stay at Localita Granaio and in the Castellini in Chianti area. The villa was amazing with its history and setting and we loved the beautiful views as we sat on the patio with our wine and cheese. Our host Pietro could not have been better- helpful but not intrusive, informative and friendly. The general area also had so much to offer. We would go back in a minute! Thanks Pietro

Super home and host - a superb place to stay!

We loved our stay here! The views are to die, this house is in a great area among forests, olive trees and vineyards. It is cozy, quiet and sparkling clean with all modern amenities provided (washing machine, dishwasher, high speed wifi internet etc...). We also found washing powder, cleaning gear in the house and last not least olive oil and a lot of fresh rosemary, thyme, sage, lavender in the garden still in oktober. We were also very happy with the excellent beds and the firm mattresses. Last but not least: Pietro is the best host in the world with a great sense of humour. He greeted us with a gift bottle of his home made Vin Santo and Cantuccini and later brought us firewood as we wanted to use the fireplace despite the warm nights. We also got good walking tips and he was very helpful and patient. Thank you very much Pietro for making us feel so welcome and for sharing your gorgeous place!

Quiet, Relaxing Villa in a Beautiful Village!

When we arrived the owner met us at the appartment and showed us around. His communication with us was great leading upto our arrival. The setting of this place is absolutely amazing. So quiet and beautiful. The views from both sides of the house are wonderful. We played tennis on the court with such an outstanding view. The pool looks great too, but it was out of season for us. Well located to visiting various hill top towns. We also did a wine tour at one of the many wineries in the area which I highly recomend (We did Monsanto, but there are lots of options in the area). The kitchen was very well equiped and everything was in good working order in the house. We cooked here every day. The rooms are large and we were very comfortable for our 5 day stay in April. It's essential you have a car. If you are looking to get away from the bustle of the city and have a relaxing and quiet setting close to midevil towns and wineries, this place is a terrific option.

Best location in Toscany

The pictures in the website already give you a hint about the beauty of the house and surroundings, but it is when get there that you see how incredible this place is. Very quiet and peaceful village, perfect for our family. The views from the house to the vineyards are amazing, specially in the morning. Perfect location in the Chianti area to explore Tuscany cities, less than an hour drive to Florence, Siena, etc. San Gimignano is even less than 30 minutes away. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. We managed to see most of the World Cup matches which was perfect for my son. Pietro was very helpful and made everything he could to make our holidays great. Nice advises regarding what to see in each city and a few recommendations about where to buy Chianti wine, where to eat the best Ice-cream, pizza, etc. At the end we really enjoyed our holidays and plan to come back some day. In the meantime we are already recommending it to friends and family. It is truly a no miss location!

My sisters and I have just spent 5 nights at this lovely property. The weather was extremely hot but the stone walls and floors kept the villa cool throughout and even upstairs bedrooms were cool with the help of a fan - no problems there. The villa itself was well equipped with everything we needed and provided a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere - the entrance with gorgeous hydrangeas and beautiful back courtyard where we ate and sat to overlook the beautiful vista was equally lovely. The pool was also a huge bonus, cool dips throughout our time there and again set against marvellous views. We were so relaxed we didn’t go out much but a day trip to Siena was an easy drive and we also visited Tenuto Casanova winery for a wine tasting lunch - only minutes away and a beautiful winery/farm, - would also highly recommend. Our host Pietro met us on arrival, and was friendly and very helpful and responded quickly to any queries - thank you Pietro for the use of your lovely villa! We would highly recommend.

Unser Urlaub war super. Pietro ist sehr zuvorkommend und hat alle Fragen sofort kompetent beantwortet. Es fehlte uns an nichts und wir können die Unterkünfte und den Urlaubsort uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Besonders toll fanden unsere Kids den Tennisplatz und den Pool.

Maison très bien équipée et perdue au milieu des oliviers et des vignes. Idéalement placée pour partir en vadrouille en Toscane ( 45 min de Florence, 30 min de Sienne et 1h30 de Pise et plein de village aux alentours).Piscine agréable avec une vue extraordinaire, ce petit hameau va nous manquer Pietro est très sympathique et nous reviendrons certainement !

Wunderschön gelegenes altes Landhaus

Wir haben als Familie den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das toskana-typische Haus ist wunderschön auf einer Anhöhe gelegen zusammen mit ein paar anderen Häusern, etwa 1 km abseits der Straße, erreichbar über einen Schotterweg. Das Haus ist stilvoll eingerichtet, alles notwendige ist vorhanden, insbesondere auch in der Küche. Wir kommen gerne wieder! Ein großes Dankeschön an Pietro, er ist ein toller Gastgeber.

Super schöne Anlage

Herrliche stilvolle Ferienwohnung. Alles da, was man braucht. Schöne schattige Terrasse. Wunderbarer Blick. Tolle Außenanlage mit Tennisplatz und Pool zur freien Nutzung. Die Kommunikation mit dem super netten Vermieter lief einwandfrei! Wir waren eine Woche mit unseren 3 Kindern im Juli zu Gast. Liegt auch sehr zentral zum Besuch vieler toskanischen Städte. Die Zufahrt zur Anlage ist etwas steil.. aber nur Mut ;-) Viele herzlichen Dank an Pietro! Wir kommen gerne mal wieder!
