Excellent location in one of Halifax’s nicest neighbourhoods, close to downtown, water, and parks. Number of beds at the price was a great find and very affordable for a large group.

We really enjoyed staying in this beautiful, old, and clean house. It was close to the university and downtown and very conveniently located. It did not have a hair dryer and there was no usable cooking oil but otherwise great stay,

Beautiful location

Easily accessible to enjoy the city of Halifax. Close to amenities but away from high traffic/noise of downtown. Comfortably accommodated us and our young adult children.

The location is ideal for exploring Halifax. We really appreciated the hosts flexibility with check in and checkout times that accommodated our needs. The tub in the upstairs bathroom is not safe to use as a shower, the plastic shower curtain is too long, fills the bottom of the tub and is a tripping hazard/liability. There was no available plug to use it as a tub. The space under the 3rd bed upstairs is thick with dust bunnies and even has an old plastic water bottle under it. The blinds do not fit many of the windows, especially in the bedrooms so they are virtually useless. The iron released dirt and stained a pair of pants so we couldn't use it. The kitchen was well supplied and there was lots of storage space both in the kitchen and the bedrooms. Overall we can recommend it for location but for the price there are improvements needed.

Fantastic experience!

We rented this location for a friends getaway. It was fantastic to have everybody in one location. The rooms were great, beds were super comfortable. There was an abundance of towels, linens and kitchen supplies. Everything we needed to make the stay enjoyable. Host was amazing to deal with and would recommend 100%! Location was perfect for dining out, and shopping.

The property is in a lovely part of town (the south end). It is a typical and beautiful Halifax home that I remember renting as a student at Dalhousie, 30 years ago. The house is bright with amazing windows that let in great breezes. The hardwood flooring throughout is warm and comforting.There are ample bedrooms for sleeping on main floor and 2nd storey. Two full washrooms were a good size, one with a bathtub and shower and the other with a shower. The water pressure was therapeutic.We had enough plates, dishes and cutlery and the pots and pans were new. We had to purchase spices and condiments but there was a boatload of tea and coffee from previous guests. I guess good or bad it's about the next guests comfort level.Communication with the host was timely and friendly. The code access helped everyone as we didn't have to manage keys.I really loved the place. It had good Haligonian vibes!

Tolle Nähe zum Zentrum, aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen

Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt, das Haus braucht aber dringend eine Renovierung. Mehrere Türklinken sind abgefallen oder waren lose, die Matratzen schon sehr durchgelegen. In der Küche war zu wenig Inventar für 8 Leute, aber hier wurde auf Nachfrage sehr schnell nachgebessert. Am meisten enttäuscht hat uns der Außenbereich. Sowohl die Terrassen vor und hinter dem Haus sind stark veraltet und marode und laden nicht zu einem längeren Aufenthalt ein. Zudem ist der Garten vor dem Haus total verwuchert und bräuchte dringend eine Renovierung. Die Fotos im Inserat scheinen schon viele Jahre alt zu sein. Von der Vermieterin kamen vor der Anreise keine eigenständigen Anreiseinformationen, der Türcode wurde erst kurz vor Ankunft auf unsere Anfrage hin mitgeteilt.
