Between the misty mountains and breathtaking coastline of the island of Kefalonia stands two incredible sea-view villas: Villa Odysseus and Villa Penelope.

These two nearly identical villas sit side-by-side on the same secluded 4 acres, facing an unmatched view of the Ionian Sea. Rent one to sleep 4, or rent both to sleep 8 and share a holiday to remember.

Both villas have their own private swimming pool suspended above the sea. Each also has its own BBQ grill for a truly memorable alfresco meal.

Views To The Horizon

Take your place on the sea-view hillside, a peaceful and private location with uninterrupted views of the blue horizon. Close your eyes, feel the warm sun on your skin, and breathe in the sea air. Located at the end of a secluded road, you won’t hear any traffic here...just ocean breezes.

Then explore the terrain of this majestic Grecian island. Rent a jeep to see the rugged black fir forests and the wild horses that call these mountains home.

Or spend a scenic afternoon renting a small boat and travel to the serene Lefka Beach, located just under your cliff-side villa. Explore the dazzling sea caves via kayak, or take a short six miles drive to sunbathe on one of the most famous sandy beaches on the island, Lourdas Beach. A great beach for families, Lourdas features boat and canoe rentals, jet ski excursions, and more. Drive just two miles and swim in the sparkling waters of Koroni beach.

From the villa, drive 10 minutes to the Village of Lourdas, where you can savor delicious local fare and explore the colorful culture. Travel a little further to Argostoli, the energetic capitol 15-miles away where delicious food is around every corner as well, or take a leisurely winery tour. Come find your slice of heaven by the sea!

A Holiday to Remember

Kefalonia is gorgeous year-round. One of our favorite times of the year on the island is May or September, when the ocean breezes are calm and the temperature is just right. August is another lovely time to visit: take-in the gorgeous full, blue moon through your bedroom windows.

Our Service

There’s a reason our guests return to stay at our villas year after year. Our family-owned properties have been meticulously maintained and cared for, and we live close by and on-hand for any help you may need...or dinner suggestions!

We always welcome our guests at the airport and will provide any recommendations or assistance you need to be completely comfortable here.
Early check-ins and late check-outs are available upon request.

When you arrive you will find a welcome pack with pantry items like a bottle of local wine, fresh seasonal fruits, milk, coffee, sugar, bread, local cheeses, refreshments, beers and more, plus amenities like soaps, shower gel, shampoo, body lotion, bath salts, and a sewing kit.

The villas can accommodate up to 4 adults and a baby up to 2 years old in a baby cot.

The spacious private pool area features umbrellas and wooden deck chairs for sunbathing and a shower. The pool itself (4 x 7 m and max depth 1.70 m) is ecological and water overflowing.

All rooms feature air conditioning and luxury furnishings. Complimentary Wi-Fi is also provided.

No security deposit here – we trust our guests!

As in Greek myth, Penelope is brilliant and versatile. Bring a group of 4 guests and lounge poolside with expansive views of the sea,or take a short drive to explore the shops, eateries and taverns in Lourdas.

INSIDE THE VILLA :

Unwind in a dreamy master suite with a double bed and attached bath with hydro-massage shower.
The 2nd bedroom features 2 twin-sized beds.
From either bedroom, step out onto a private, sunny balcony facing the sea.
For the second bedroom there is a 2nd full bath with a jetted tub.
At the ground floor there is also a WC with a washing machine in it.

Handmade pottery and original paintings, the work of a dear friend, decorate the entire villa.
The charming kitchen provides all the essentials for a seaside dinner.
Fire up the BBQ by the pool. Feast at the dining table and have a glass of local wine to savor on the breezy veranda.

Just heaven!!

The photos do not do the villa justice. We stayed in Penelope and the views are to die for. The host was amazing as well and so so helpful right from our arrival at the airport. Amazing place all round… highly recommend!

Fantastic family villa and a beautiful location

We could not have been happier with the villa and our overall experience. Paraskevas was a fantastic host and went above and beyond in making sure our stay was enjoyable. The villa pool is beautiful and the views across the bay are amazing. We were able to drive to local amenities relatively easily, and found the whole stay to be wonderful. We would highly recommend this villa for families with children or for couples/adults looking for a break.

Paraskevas was a wonderful host, such a lovely person who wanted us to have the perfect holiday. From meeting us at the airport,giving us a detailed review of the island and ideas/ visits to complement our stay. Paraskevas was an amazing host, friendly, super helpful, full of recommendations of what to do on the island, where to go, and when which really made our trip! The whole experience was professional and luxury, you really felt like you were in a 5 star resort. From the moment we walked in the door, Paraskevas was friendly and made us feel so welcome, pouring me a well-deserved ice cold beer as we arrived! The villa was spotless, spacious and had everything you need for a luxury holiday. The views, the sunsets, the pool, just out of this world! A lovely, peaceful villa with amazing views and lovely pool. Spotlessly clean and well cared for by Paraskevas - who is a friendly, helpful host. The welcome pack was extensive - wine, beer. Ionian Sea Villa Penelope

Paraskevas was the perfect host, meeting us at the airport despite the delayed late evening flight, generous provisions in the fridge, the attention to detail and cleanliness of the villa, sites, restaurants and places to visit and the villa in a stunning location means for the first time in over 20 years we will return to the same villa next year, if not before. Genuine Greek hospitality and a stunning villa make this a relaxing and battery recharging holiday location. Thank you so much Paraskevas, we’ll see you again soon.

5 stars for the property and another 5 for Paraskevas

We just spent two amazing weeks in Paraskeva's villa. The villa is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Everything was spotless and fresh. The views are breathtaking and the location is an ideal base to explore the rest of the island. The pool is very well maintained. The sun loungers and umbrellas made it possible for us to enjoy this area at different times of day and we had hours of fun as a family.Paraskevas is the most welcoming host we have ever met. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we booked. He went above and beyond to make sure that we are happy, to the point of stocking up the fridge so that we didn't need to go shopping right away. Even the beer glasses were ready in the freezer!He always made himself available when we had questions or needed tips regarding certain trips and activities but he was also very respectful of our space and privacy. It was a great pleasure and honour to meet him and get to spend two wonderful weeks at his property. We already miss having him as a neighbour.

SUPURB VILLA, BREATHTAKING VIEW AND MOST GRACIOUS HOST

We had a marvelous vacation from this quiet and relaxing villa in southern Kefalonia. We arrived at the airport and were welcomed by our host Paraskevas who escorted us to the car rental location and then guided us to the villa. There he showed us the beautiful and immaculate villa and welcomed us with a bottle of wine, fruit, bread and cheese, and a cold beer! He took time with us to show us places we should visit and the highlights and restaurants in each. Each day we visited by car a new part of the island, trying the local cuisine and seeing the sights. We returned daily to the peace of the villa and took a relaxing swim with a view of the Ionian Sea that was incomparable. The villa itself is gorgeous, extremely well appointed and equipped with everything needed and more. Paraskevas was the kindest and most gracious host, responding to our every need quickly and always with a smile. We will be back again!

What a Wonderful Experience

We had a fantastic stay and our host was really helpful. We were met off the flight and escorted back to the villa, which was not only a lovely personal touch but also really helped us navigate unfamiliar roads in the dark as we landed late at night. A quick tour of the villa with an ice cool beer in our hands at arrival and our holiday was off to a great start. The next day, our host Paraskevas sat down with us and marked a map with all the places not to miss. He shared lots of local knowledge including authentic restaurants we would never have found on our own, which really helped us make the most of the island and added to the success of our stay. The villa is beautiful, well equipped and immaculately clean. Every detail was thought of, and the outside spaces were fantastic for eating, swimming and relaxing. The pool and surrounding areas were regularly cleaned and the view from the pool and balconies are spectacular. 5 stars all the way. We’ll be staying again

Wir sind sehr herzlich vom Gastgeber empfangen worden. Sein Haus befindet sich in einer wundervollen Lage. Es ist großzügig und es bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Der große Pool ist das I-Tüpfelchen.Paraskevas , hilfreich aber auch dezent zurückhaltend, erfreute uns gleich bei unserer Ankunft mit einem gut gefüllten Kühlschrank, von Bier, lokalem Robola, Softgetränken bis Wurst, Käse, Butter, Brot und Obst……auch hier fühlten wir uns von Beginn an willkommen und wohl.Eine Karte der Insel lag auch bereit. Auf dieser zeigte uns Paraskevas viele Highlights der Insel und gab uns Tipps für gute Tavernen.Wir hatten für den gesamten Aufenthalt einen Mietwagen, der auf der Insel unerlässlich ist.Wer Ruhe sucht , das Meer und Berge liebt verbunden mit dem luxuriösen Anwesen von Paraskevas, der sollte hier unbedingt selbst einmal Urlaub machen.

We hebben een geweldige tijd gehad in het huis en op het eiland. Prachtig uitzicht, heerlijk zwembad, compleet en gezellig huis. Maar vooral de heer Paraskevas maakt het tot een uitzonderlijk verblijf. Een ongelooflijk warm welkom in alle opzichten. Een gvulde koelkast, koude drankjes bij aankomst, fruit en zelfs taart voor een verjaardag. Meer dan 5 sterren. Wij komen graag terug!

Beautiful Villa with a great host

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ionian Sea View and particularly Villa Penelope. The villa is spotless and the views stunning. For us, the location is perfect, rural but close enough to drive to tavernas and ideal to explore the island by car. The owner Paraskevas is exceptional in his welcoming of guests and providing a first class but discreet service. Nothing it seems is too much trouble! We will definitely be visiting again.

Excellent relaxing holiday

If you’re looking for a relaxing holiday venue with a bit of luxury, this is the place for you. We stayed in villa Penelope which is perfect for a family of 4. It’s a modern property in excellent condition and the pool and grounds are clean and tidy. The view is super, - bring your binoculars if you have them. I forgot mine so the owner Paraskevas, kindly lent me his for the duration. It is useful to have the owner living close by, he is very discreet but there if you need him. He rescued us when our hire car broke down! Definitely one of our best holidays.

Immaculate

Paraskevas makes such an effort to ensure your stay at Ionian Sea View Villas a relaxing experience. The attention to detail at the villa means that everything is spotlessly clean and high quality. The peaceful, private setting enables you to relax on the pool terrace enjoying stunning sea views making you feel that you have the island to yourself. Paraskevas is so polite, descreet, respectful and so generous providing fresh bread and pastries (on top of a fridge full of food and drink on arrival). I cannot fault in any way how he goes the extra mile to make your stay an enjoyable one. He is more than happy to point you in the direction of places whether it be to enjoy a day out or to experience some of the hidden gem restaurants where you can experience the most traditional dishes on the island. My next visit to the island will certainly be here.

Great Holiday!

The villa had great cleanliness, was very comfortable and had amazing sea views. Paraskevas was also near whenever needed, was very helpful and a was great host - but was not intrusive. I would definitely recommend :)

11 days in Paradise at Villa Penelope

This is a stunning villa in an exceptional location which is made even more special thanks to the owner/host Paraskevas. The facilities were first rate, the kitchen fully equipped, the rooms beautifully clean and very well maintained. The terrace and balconies provided ample space and variety to be able to sit out and watch the sunrise / sunset with a cold beer or glass of wine. The pool was a good size and plenty large enough to entertain my two daughters aged 11 and 12 (and myself). The pool was also the cleanest and most pristine private pool we have seen. Oh and let's not forget the bbq which worked perfectly when we wanted to eat in but cook outside. Back to the host. Paraskevas cannot be praised highly enough. He is a lovely gentlemen who came to meet us at the airport and show us the way to the villa. We were greeted with a warm smile (I think it would have been a hug had Covid-19 not been at play) and welcome and we entered the villa he had provided what I can only explain as being a week's groceries as a welcome basket (cold beer, wine, juice, melons, grapes. Cheese. Bread, ham, butter, jam, biscuits, coffee, tea...........oh and a bag of fresh pastries from the bakery which we picked up on the way back from the airport). This was platinum standard hosting by anyone's measure. Paraskevas was always available but never in the way, he could not do enough for us and made plenty of very good recommendations for places to visit and eat at etc. I could go on but there are already 35 or so other reviews which say pretty much the same thing. Paraskevas kept surprising us with extra treats throughout our stay which made it perfect, he has appropriately now been given the title 'The Legend' by my girls who really enjoyed chatting to him and getting to know him. We expected alot before we arrived, the reviews make it clear that this is a special place with a special owner, but our high expectations were surpassed by a clear margin. So much so that yesterday, before we left we decided to come again next year for a full two weeks. It is such a well kept, secluded villa with great views and a great location to explore from. Argostoli being just a 30 minute drive up the coast. Erwartungen übertroffen

Unser Vermieter Herr Paraskevas Chionis hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen, uns das Haus und die technischen Einrichtungen erklärt und uns einen vollen Kühlschrank übergeben. Auch sonst war er jederzeit für uns da, ohne im Entferntesten Aufdringlich zu sein, Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt, voll ausgestattet, lässt keine Wünsche offen und steht in einer sehr ruhigen Landschaft mit fantastischem Meerblick an einer Steilküste. Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen.

Perfect!

Faultless! Beautiful villa and scenery. Spotlessly clean and unique, thanks to Paraskevas who is a perfect host - very discreetly there whenever needed. Very spacious, everything you available that you could possibly need. The photos don't do this villa justice... we loved it so much we are coming back next year! Thank you Paraskevas for hosting the best family holiday we have ever had!

Perfection at Penelope!

This is our 4th trip to Paraskevas' pair of villas in Platies, and our 3rd stay in Villa Penelope. Me and the D have started calling it our second home - it now feels so familiar! Paraskevas remains a most wonderful host - stocking our fridge with goats cheese, bread, fresh fruit, beers and a punnet of the most delicious strawberries! Now I'm a city-type of traveller, yet the moment we enter Villa Penelope I wish for nothing more than to sit out on the deck (overlooking the pool and the view beyond) with a brand new paperback! We love it THAT much!

Amazing villa, perfect location, great host.

This villa is just amazing. Perfectly located with superb views, it is a must stay location. The host, Paraskevas, is such a lovely, honest and genuine host who has the balance between being there but not intrusive just right. On arrival the delights contained within the fridge and kitchen were totally unexpected but so thoughtful. We didn't need to shop until day 4 !! The food goodies brought to us by the host during our 2 week stay were most welcome.....Home made apricot pie, fresh bread and breakfast croissants and souvlaki to name just a few. The cleanliness of the villa and pool was exceptional even when the wind started to blow. I can't recommend this villa highly enough. We will certainly return and can't wait until we do.

Beautiful villa, location and fantastic host

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at villa penelope. Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to relax by the beautiful pool for our entire stay but the villa was very comfortable and a great location to be able to explore the island. Paraskevas our host was very attentive and helpful. Couldn't recommend enough.

Perfect (to the power of three)

Our third trip to Paraskevas' lovely luxury villas in Cephalonia! This time it felt like we were home. Para was the perfect host (as always). A fridge filled with feta and fruit and two beer glasses chilling in the freezer! Each day began with a morning swim in the spotlessly clean private pool (while enjoying views out over the ocean). Simply the best!

The property and view that never disappoints

This was our second visit to Villa Penelope and we initially thought it could not top our original visit and holiday but we were wrong. Paraskevas was as helpful, discreet and engaging as ever. He describes himself as an amateur but he is the most professional amateur we've ever met! The villa has everything you need. This includes Air Con which although it was warm there's always a cool or shady place to find on the property and at night we kept the windows open to hear the sea or the relaxing gurgling of the pool. If there's anything else you need Paraskevas is on hand. The property is very peaceful but within easy reach of the Airport, Argostoli itself and all the coastal villages to the South of the Island. Given Kefalonias size your also within striking distance of any part of the island. We felt a Hire Car was a must. For us the best part of the Villa were the views....incredible and breathtaking every morning from when you wake until you return to sleep. Thank You Paraskevas for a wonderful holiday. Matt & Jayne

Beautiful villa, charming owner, perfect holiday

We have just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks in Villa Penelope. The first thing you notice is the panoramic view across the Ionian Sea to Zakynthos and beyond. The south-west aspect makes it perfect for enjoying an ouzo in the setting sun. Then you notice the silence. The villa is blissfully isolated yet with the reassurance of a couple of other villas nearby containing like-minded people. Every night we slept with the doors wide open (fly mesh in place although it was hardly needed) and enjoyed the sound of the sea lapping on the shores below. The swimming pool is sparkling clean and big enough for a proper swim. There are two large, good quality umbrellas and four comfortable loungers - a welcome luxury after a hot day out, or for those lazy 'villa days'. Inside the villa, it's every bit as good as the pictures suggest. Comfortable beds with smooth cotton sheets, good bathrooms (the third loo and washing machine are really handy), spacious layout, well-equipped kitchen... there is everything you need and more, all spotless and fully functioning. Paraskevas, the owner, is a delightful man who takes pride in his two villas and does everything to ensure you have a good holiday. At the same time, he respects your privacy. He offers many nice little touches that make you feel special. He works hard and really deserves his success. We were sad to say goodbye to Paraskevas and will always think of him as a friend. If you're after a bit of luxury on a beautiful island, with perfect beaches and interesting day trips close at hand, we absolutely recommend Villa Penelope (and Odysseus next door).

Wonderful idyll away from the crowds

The villa is as stunning as it looks. Amazing views, perfect swimming pool, air con, high standards throughout. We are recommending it to everyone! Paris (owner) is on site to answer any questions and recommend places to visit. He is super-helpful and even came and picked us up when our car broke down.

We used to come to this land, gazing at the view, as it belonged to my father and my grandfather.
Over the past few years that we’ve been renting this villa, we’ve met exciting people and made great friends.
We personally manage this property putting into it a lot of effort and our passion.
We are only genuine hosts, trying to share with our guests, our love for this place and the island, offering them everything we would like to have, in a home away from home.
