It was a wonderful stay at the beautiful vila Kanali. Everything was easy (communication, check in …) and the house was really great (rooms, equipment, aside condition and especially of course the pool) - Particularly worth mentioning was the great location of the house: the beach near by (Trapazaki) was absolutely perfect (crystal blue sea, great sand and a really nice beach-bar (Denis)) and not crowded at all!!! In summary, we would totally recommend the vila Kanali and of course Kefalonia to everyone! Thank you for the great stay!

Great stay at Villa Kanali

A very peaceful and homely property. Fabulous pool and a beautiful local beach. Communication with owner was exceptional. Overall, a wonderful stay at Villa Kanali. We would return in a heartbeat!

Perfect holiday villa

We absolutely loved staying at Villa Kanali. We had everything we needed and the shaded areas were very welcome to escape the sun and the pool was fantastic. There is quite a steep hill up to the restaurants and shops and to the beach but we managed without a car. Fabby holiday retreat!

Lovely clean villa with views you would never get tired of. Efficient air conditioning that was definitely required. Harry was very communicative and helpful from the beginning. We enjoyed our stay and loved the vibe of Vlachata. If I had to point out anything that needs improvement I’d say the WiFi needs updating (you can get a signal from the villa in front of the pool but only a very weak intermittent one from villa kanali.) Also a built in BBQ would be a welcome addition.

A Real Gem

We had a fabulous holiday at Kalani Villa. The villa was spacious and very well equipped for a family holiday. The pool was a great size and regularly maintained. The gardens were lovely with rosemary and lavender bushes and also olive and fig trees. The villa was cleaned and towels and bedding changed regularly during our stay. There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance, albeit fairly hilly. The nearby beaches were beautiful. Communication with our host Harry was great... plenty of upfront information provided and then there if we needed him. We would definitely recommend this villa and would stay there again.

Great break

Lovely property good size and spacious. Very clean and bright and airy. Only small downside was buidling works in front of property but they are finishing up so unlikely to impact others in following weeks if staying.

The property is spacious, clean and light with 2 bathrooms, Aircon in all rooms and amazing views from balconies upstairs. The pool is small, but salt water filter and perfect temperature. The property has a lot of land and vegatation, we enjoyed figs from the tree and herbs from the garden which gave a lovely aroma. The beach is a lovely 10 minute walk downhill under bamboo tunnels and calm water, hardly any people there. The area has lots of shops and restaurants, we particularly enjoyed '77' which is a new family run cafe up the road open until 4pm. Harry was very attentive and responded immediately to any questions. Fresh towels and bedding were supplied during our stay. Harry provided a very comprehensive document about the villa, area and suggestions for days out. We all had a wonderful time at the villa and highly recommend. We felt relaxed and calm as it is a little tucked away from the main road and no other villas overlooking.

Wonderful location

Absolutely wonderful location, very peaceful. Lovely to hear the goats twice a day. Beautiful beach nearby and great places to eat nearby. Great villa, lovely pool and loads of outside space. Plenty of kitchen equipment, towels, bedding etc. cleaners were fab. Harry wasn’t brilliant at communicating with us, very speedy responses. The only comment we would make is that the villas outside furniture needs replacing as most of the chairs were broken and around the back. The patio upstairs had 2 sun beds but they were damaged too. Such a shame as a number of various patios to enjoy but no furniture. Maybe due to it being end of season? Also bedrooms need wardrobes, not ideal us all sharing 1 wardrobe on the landing. These things are very small given all the huge positives this villa has to offer. Would love to return. Thank you Harry

Great Villa

Villa Kanali is great, really well laid out with different areas so there is always shade if required The pool was very clean & Harry the manager very helpful The location was perfect for us 10 mins walk to beach & same to Vlachata which has enough restaurants But steep in places Not a problem for us but could be for less mobile We did have a hire car as we like to explore but not particularly necessary Local buses & plenty of taxis around Everything in villa that you need Really enjoyed our stay but very hot in mid July

Lovely stay in a spacious villa.

Villa was in an excellent location within walking distance of Kanali beach which was unspoilt and quiet. No facilities or shade so taking an umbrella advisable. Walk back from the beach up a steep hill but definitely worth a visit. Lots of tavernas near by but the kitchen at the villa was very well equipped so we eat in every night. The villa was very comfortable and the swimming pool a decent size.

Fab stay at Villa Kanali

We had a fabulous 10 day stay at Villa Kanali. Spacious and comfortable villa which is not over looked, so it's really private. It is in a rural setting, but within minutes are a selection of great tavernas and restaurants. We chose to have a hire car and whilst you could get by without one, I think we would have missed out on lots without it! The beach at the end of the lane is stunning! You can only get to it by foot (or boat) so it is very quiet and untouched, but be prepared for an 'energetic' walk down and up! It's worth it! Harry was so helpful and responsive to any questions both before and during our trip. Would highly recommend the villa and area.

Schönes Haus in ruhiger und dennoch zentraler Lage

Die Villa Kanali ist geräumig, die Außenbereiche bieten Privatsphäre und entsprechen den Fotos. Auch die Ausstattung entspricht der Beschreibung auf fewo-direkt. Die regelmäßig in der Nähe aufhältigen Ziegen vermitteln richtige Landatmosphäre - uns hat es gefallen. Tavernen und Supermärkte in Vlachata sind in 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar, der zumeist wenig frequentierte Kanali Strand ist mit entsprechender Kondition ebenfalls in 10 Minuten zu erreichen. Internet war durchgehend verfügbar. Die Reinigung erfolgte gründlich. Die Kommunikation mit Harry war hervorragend, Anfragen wurden von ihm unverzüglich beantwortet. Die Miete ist in Pfund zu überweisen, Wechselkurs und Bankspesen kommen hinzu.

Idyllic location and beautiful villa

This is a private villa, not overlooked, with lots of outdoor space for lounging in both the sun and the shade throughout the day. There is a stunning beach a short walk straight down the hill from the villa. We loved eating at the local tavernas. The villa owner was very helpful regarding answering all of our queries quickly and in a friendly manner. This is a villa that we would love to return to one day, great location for touring about and enjoying this beautiful island.

What a wonderful villa and amazing location, with beautiful views of the mountains and Ionian sea.There were lots of outside areas to relax, eat and sunbathe with herbs,shrubs and flowers around. It was a feat for the eyes. We enjoyed watching the lizards in the morning as they moved around the shrubs. We made very good use of the very clean pool which was very welcome in the heat and their was even a 'disco ball' for the evening. At night, we turned off all the lights and had a fantastic view of the stars and saw the milky way and shooting stars very clearly. The villa was very clean and we enjoyed the air conditioning in the bedrooms and lounge, making sleeping very comfortable. Harry was a perfect host and informed us clearly of all local areas and places to eat, which we tried and enjoyed. There is a gorgeous beach a ten minute walk from the villa and the turtles were laying their eggs on the beach at night. This was a perfect holiday in a very beautiful island. We will miss the villa and Kefalonia very much and hope to return as soon as we can. Thank you so much Harry.

Fantastic Family Holidays

We had a great 2 weeks in the house. Clean, spacious, good floor plan and in a superb place. Situated right above one of the top beaches in a calm, less touristic area. We will come again.

Fantastic 4-week stay

Villa Kanali was a perfect choice for us for a four week stay in Kefalonia. The property itself is really well located - walkable to the local village with a choice of restaurants, cafes and well stocked supermarkets. There is also walkable access direct to Kanali Beach albeit down a fairly steep and winding path - takes about 10-15 minutes depending on your fitness!! If you don’t want to walk it, it’s a 5 minute drive to Lourdas Beach with plenty of places to eat and drink and with sun beds and sun shades on the beach. Try Waikiki Bar and Lithero Restaurant. The villa provided everything we needed (there were 6 adults at times). The pool is beautiful and very well and regularly maintained with plenty of sun beds and the housekeeping was efficient and the property was clean - very good quality linens and bedding and beach/pool towels provided. We didn’t eat in much but there were all the utensils and pots and pans we could have wanted. We had a few problems with the electricity but on contacting the owner they were rectified very speedily and without fuss, even in the evening! It would have been nice to have had some sort of satellite TV (I know that’s not what you go on holiday for but sometimes it’s nice to chill that way although there is a good selection of DVDs) and there are no mirrors in the bedrooms or wardrobes - there’s one shared wardrobe on the landing. The furthest excursion was 90 minutes to Fiskardo (south to north) and well worth the winding journey - the views along the way were spectacular and some of the beaches are just stunning. All in all, this is a great property to choose on an island that offers you everything you could want for a family holiday. It’s not often we say we’d return to a place but this is definitely one. Great island, great property, and an extremely helpful and responsive owner - thanks, Harry!

Beautiful villa, in a peaceful yet convenient location

We have been renting villas for our large family for many years and this was one of the best. The villa was down a quiet no through road with that led down to the beach, offering complete privacy and peace and quiet, yet only a short walk to the Tavernas and shops in the village. It was very well equipped, comfortable, and everything was in good working order, and the pool was pristine. We would recommend this villa without any reservations.
