Great Weekend on the Coast

We traveled with another couple and their two kids. We really liked having access to the beach and the hot tub. There was enough room for us to hang out together and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking.

Beautiful, clean, and comfy with an amazing view.

Great social area and deck with a beautiful ocean view. Fully outfitted and roomy kitchen made cooking for a large group a breeze and very enjoyable. There is a lot of deck furniture as well that makes it a great space to spend the afternoon enjoying the beautiful scenery. We were pleasantly surprised with how comfy the beds were, especially for a rental home. Looking forward to our next visit!

Perfection!

The home is beautiful and the outdoor space incredible. We stayed in the home over July 4th weekend and didn't want to leave! Mike and Monique are wonderful hosts. Close to a private beach, it is the perfect place to stay if you want to get away from it all. The beds are really comfortable and attention is paid to every detail. The big deck with amazing views of the ocean is the perfect way to begin and end the day. Listening to the sound of the surf, it's a little bit of heaven in California. I hope we have the opportunity to return soon! If you have the chance to stay in this home you won't be disappointed.

Incredible views

Two couples stayed at this vacation rental for a four day weekend. The directions were wonderful, the accommodations were very comfortable and clean. This rental is very spacious. The views from the living, dining, kitchen, one bedroom, and deck are epic. We spend a lot of time on the deck watching whales, sitting in the fog and sun, and enjoying our weekend. The neighborhood is quiet and we say lots of wildlife. Walking in the neighborhood was enjoyable as was our visit to Irish Beach. We drove in to Elk numerous times to abalone dive, visit the beach, have breakfast, and get food at the market. We loved our stay in this part of the coast and have booked a second trip to this rental later this year.

Quiet, lovely. AMAZING view!

This house is perfect for a family stay, and the view can’t be beat. The whole experience was so easy. Bring groceries in if you can, if not take the drive into Mendocino (no big deal). Cooking and eating overlooking the sea?! Unbeatable.

Had a great time

It was perfect for our family of six. The place was clean, and the view was great. We saw a whale! It would have helped to have directions for using the TV. Other than that, all we needed was there, and it was a good location for hanging out in the area.

Magical Thanksgiving getaway!

We were so pleased with our stay at this beautifully-located and well-appointed home. The solace of taking in the breathtaking view over your morning coffee, the fun of communing with family while kicking back in the reclining comfy chairs, and the easy access to miles of spectacular California coastline is all part of the package at this home. The hosts were so kind , responsive, and generous. They even went to the trouble of sending us a necklace that we had unwittingly left and was recovered by the cleaners. Above and beyond in my book! We will definitely be returning to this paradise that is just a hop, skip, and a jump from the Bay Area but seems to remain overlooked by many. You can still have an entire beach to yourself in this corner of the world! Thank you Mike and Monique!!

Lovely home!!

We stayed here for 4 nights!! This house was fantastic for our family! We loved everything about it. We took day trips to different redwood forests and hit a winery too. There is so much to see up in northern California. This house was so comfortable and anyone would love it!

We had the best time at the pelican view. The view is amaaazing. The house is sooo clean, beds are comfortable and everything you need is there. We had such a good time and are thankful for the easy process of check in and check out and Monique and michaels kindness. Will definitely stay here again!

Stunning View!

The place has a stunning panoramic view. We watched gorgeous sunsets over the ocean every night of our 4 night stay. We didn't want to leave. And the place was super clean. Great vibe in the home. Highly recommend.

Lovely Irish Beach Getaway

Lovely home in an even lovelier setting. Updated kitchen was a pleasure to cook and the beds (only utilized 2 of the 3 rooms) were clean & comfortable. The house needs a little TLC. We were there in a rainstorm and the rain gutters are only precariously attaches to the roof which made for quite a racket when it rained- and the towel rack in the master bathroom was falling from the wall when we arrived. The hot water also took a VERY long time to heat up & cut out often which made it difficult to conserve water as requested by the owners. Overall all though, the home was clean, well-appointed and the home-owners were very easy to communicate with. I would recommend this home to any group of 2-6 people who are looking for a great Irish Beach experience.

Peaceful Getaway

As soon as we stepped out on the balcony upon arrival, I could feel my stress melting away. The views are gorgeous! You can hear the ocean from both inside and outside of the home. The neighborhood was very quiet and well maintained. It was so peaceful to just sit and be present. The hummingbirds and deer watching was a daily event. We will definitely come back!

Monique & Michael Risso are the best!

Twenty four hours before our planned arrival at their home, I received word that my dear aunt suddenly passed away (she was like a mom to me and grandma to my children). We immediately flew back to New York. I notified Monique & Michael and they couldn't have been more gracious. We were refunded most of our money and they were so understanding. This really reflects what wonderful people they truly are. When we plan our next trip to California we will definitely stay here. They came through in a crisis.

Tranquil place for a seaside break

Our trip was to escape the Arizona summer heat and the weather more than cooperated! We were thankful that the house was comfortable and views expansive. The kitchen was large and very well equipped. Unfortunately the master bedroom did not have the superb view of the ocean so, as we were just a couple, we elected to sleep in the other king bedroom at the front of the house. We hesitated before giving 5 stars as the second bedroom really needed better bedside shelves and wall lights. This was more than compensated for by waking up each morning to the view. The beach pass was great and sometimes we had the whole beach to ourselves. We really enjoyed walking the cliffs of the Point Arena National Monument and visiting Mendocino.

Awesome Stay

Pelican View is a lovely home with beautiful ocean views. It was very clean and well equipped. I appreciated that the owners have put a lot of effort into obvious recent upgrades, and like every home it is a work in progress. Thank you for providing for a comfortable and delightful stay on Irish Beach!
