Another great stay

Our second stay at The Sandpiper. We’ve stayed at The Bay Filey for many years but always chose different properties. We returned to the Sandpiper as it’s perfect. Clean and well presented, room downstairs for two small dogs and near amenities.

Lovely stay at The Sandpiper.

We have stayed at The Bay many times and this is one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in. Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We will definately stay at this delightful property again.

Superb Property on the Bay.

We have stayed on the Bay 6 times, this property is by far the best. Everything is comfortable with a home-from-home feel. Everything you need will be found in a cupboard or drawer somewhere in the house. All properties managed by Anchor Bay are a good standard, but this property iz exceptional. It has been renovated to a high standard and the owners have put a lot of thought into the decor and the needs of their clients. We loved it and would highly recommend and will be rebooting on our next visit. Thank you.

Another wonderful stay

The Sandpiper at The Bay, Filey We had another amazing stay at The Sandpiper at The Bay, Filey. This was our third stay, and it remains our favourite place to stay! The accommodation had everything we could possibly need, making it feel like a real home from home. We particularly loved the en-suite walk-in shower, which was a lovely added touch. Everything was just as wonderful as always, and we really didn’t want to leave. We absolutely love The Sandpiper and can’t wait for our next visit. Highly recommended!

Lovely cottage in a great location

We loved our stay at The Sandpiper. The cottage was lovely and clean and in a great location. The house looked like it had recently been decorated, and to a high standard. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would happily return.

Great property. Excellent location

The sandpiper is ideally located on the bay. It is close to the centre, the pub and shop, and also only a short walk to the beach path. The property itself is immaculate. I would highly recommend this gem!

The Sandpiper is a superbly equipped property with everything needed to make your stay perfect.

The property is equipped with everything needed to ensure your holiday is as perfect as possible ,everything in the property is virtually brand new , the bedrooms are comfortable and spacious and both are ensuite, a comfortable lounge with large TV which both my wife and myself being old technophobe had difficulty in operating , perhaps a simplified instruction would help us old dears cope with modern televisions . In all qe had a very enjoyable stay which we hope to repeat very soon.

Excellent

We had another absolutely wonderful stay at this weekend holiday home and can’t recommend it highly enough. This was our second visit and it was just as fantastic as the first. The house was spotless, beautifully presented, and had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable break. The location is perfect for a peaceful getaway, and the attention to detail throughout the property really makes it feel like a home away from home. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and the whole place had such a welcoming atmosphere. Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into making guests feel comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already hoping to return again in the future. Thank you for another brilliant weekend!

Seaside Sophistication

Having stayed at the Bay Filey quite a few times now, we found that the Sandpiper is definitely the most well thought out, well maintained (and yes it is a high bench mark as they are all good!!!) and the best layout. The location on the park is really good. The decor was tasteful and welcoming, with lovely thoughtful touches throughout the house. It really is gorgeous. The allocated parking space was appreciated too. Sitting outside on the patio with the windows open fully for breakfast was lovely, however the photos were a little misleading in that the house a cross the back is pretty close. Having a well laid out bathroom off each bedroom was a treat. Being able to see the sea from the upstairs rear window was a real bonus for morning coffee and falling asleep listening to the waves. Sleep - that was the only issue with this lovely spot. The master bed, new and good quality, was horribly firm, making a good night sleep difficult. Luckily the sofas in the living room were comfortable and we spent a couple of nights on them. As ever the facilities at The Bay are great and the access to the beach is fantastic and what keeps us coming back year after year. Would we stay at the Sandpiper again? YES! It's a really beautiful house! We would just bring an air mattress to put on top of the master bed! PS just a side note the stairs are very steep and just something to consider if you have any mobility issues or small children.

Thank you for taking the time to write a lovely review of your holiday. Sorry you felt the photos are misleading - we do have new photos on the website and a 3D tour so you can see all the aspects of this lovely cottage before you stay. We have had lovely comments about the mattress from other guests and appreciate this is personal choice / preference. We are delighted you had a great holiday and look forward to welcoming you back soon!

Outstanding accomodation

Stayed for 3 nights 3-6/1/24, Terraced Cottage/house immaculate throughout - looked like a show home and had everything you needed and more for a self catering holiday. Good location on the Bay for the activites and the beach. Good location for days out along the Yorkshire coast. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Thank you

Christmas Stay

This was our second time at The Sandpiper. We have visited The Bay on many occasions and stayed in all types of property. I can say, without doubt, that this is the best 2 bedroom cottage we have ever used, and it must be one of the best in the entire village. So spacious, comfortable, clean and with everything you need for a complete self catering stay. Both large bedrooms are ensuite and there is a downstairs loo aswell. The position in the resort is excellent, being close to the beach path and the pub and leisure centre. The home was decorated for Christmas and the bubbly and chocolate biscuits were much appreciated. Anchor Bay Holidays look after you from booking to leaving and Anthony and the team are always on hand should there be any problems. I totally recommend both this property and the company. We will definitely be back.

Sandpiper - Aug 2025

A lovely cottage, seems fairly newly renovated. Has everything you could need in terms of kitchen crockery and cutlery, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, dishcloths, tea towels etc. I'd probably book a no-pets property next time as it did smell of dog (I thought with it being so newly refurbished it would be ok so that's my bad). Pillows were a little large and firm and duvet too thick for summer, but otherwise everything was great.

Amazing!

Just come back from a short stay at the Sandpiper. 1st class customer service from booking until now. Would highly recommend for the customer service alone! However, the property was stunning, perfect location for all amenities and every little need thought of and catered to. Wonderful stay, have already recommended and cannot wait to return. Thankyou so very much!
