Wir haben 10 Tage in diesem wunderschönen Haus verbringen dürfen. Wir waren 6 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder von 1 bis 6 Jahren. Wir hatten einen super Urlaub. Die Gastgeber waren außerordentlich gastfreundlich und nett. Diese kamen auch mal kurz vorbei zum Hallo sagen und brachten uns sogar selbstgemachtes Olivenöl mit und eine Torte für unsere Tochter, die an diesem Tag 6 Jahre alt wurde. Was für eine super nette Geste :) Das Haus hat alle Annehmlichkeiten die man braucht und eine gut ausgestattete Küche. Der Pool sowie der komplette Aussenbereich waren ebenfalls wunderschön und sauber. An der ein oder anderen Stelle im Haus, müssten mal ein paar Kleinigkeiten repariert werden. Das tut dem erstklassigen Aufenthalt jedoch keinen Abbruch. Ich kann das Haus jedem empfehlen, der die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit auf dem Land sucht. Größere Supermärkte sind ca. 10 Autominuten entfernt, was absolut ok ist.Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt und die überragende Gastfreundschaft.Wir kommen gerne wieder

Im Großen und Ganzen ok. Pool leider nur zwischen 60 cm und 140 cm tief.Sehr viele „Stolperfallen“ durch Treppenstufen und Absätze. Für Personen mit Bewegungseinschränkungen nicht empfehlenswert.Sitzpolster für die Stühle wären schön gewesen.Küchenausstattung für 8 Personen s e h r knapp.Wir haben uns mit den kleinen Unvollkommenheiten sehr gut arrangieren können und eine schöne Zeit verbracht.

Lovely villa

We had a lovely stay at the villa, with three generations of our family ranging from 4 years old to sixty-plus grandparents. We were able to fully relax and enjoy the beautiful weather and scenery and the pool was fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

Kleine Insel auf der Insel

Wir waen in dem Haus mit 10 Personen. Auf der Suche nach Abgeschiedenheit und Ruhe für ein "Resilienz-Retreat" haben wir hier alles gefunden, was wir uns gewünscht haben. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Idyllische Lage im Hinterland

Wir waren mit Kindern und Freunden für zwei Wochen in diesem tollen Haus. Das Haus entspricht genau der Beschreibung. Die Ausstattung und die Lage sind sehr gut. Man ist schnell am Meer und kann auch vieles in der näheren Umgenung besichtigen. Durch die Einteilung in zwei unabhängige Wohnungen kann man gut auch mit zwei Familien hier Urlaub machen. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und gastfreundlich. Vielen Dank hier noch einmal für Raki, Olivenöl, Trauben usw. Wir werden das Haus auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und falls wir wieder einmal nach Kreta kommen auch selbst wieder mieten.

In een woord uitstekend. Uitleg van de locatie van het huis was duidelijk met foto's van de huizen waar afgeslagen moest worden. Bij aankomst was er een grote mand met producten aanwezig. In het huis was alles prima in orde. Enige minpunt is het mooie zwembad waar zowel de kinderen als de kleinkinderen niet uit te slaan waren. Toch nog de bijzonderheden in de omgeving gezien. Ook de tv, hoewel vermeld was op de site dat die aanwezig is, niet gemist.

Wonderful relaxing break

Had a wonderful time at the villa. The hospitality of the hosts was warm, welcoming and generous. Was planning on lots of sight seeing but mainly stayed around the village and the local area enjoying the fabulous food and friendly locals.

Great villa

Property was lovely, spacious and adequate for our stay. Property manager was brilliant, always sorted any queries promptly and efficiently and helped wherever able. Village of Margaretes was 15/20mins walk; this village was lovely and had so many wonderful things to buy. The walk there was very dusty and hot in the midday sun. This walk would have been fine, but not great with people with small children or people with disabilities. It was just very hot and uncomfortable in the heat and uphill coming back. All in all, we had a lovely stay and cannot fault the owners in any way.

Fabulous!

We had such a lovely time here! Irini and Manos were so kind and caring but never overbearing. The outside space is particularly beautiful. We had lunch on the upper level terrace and dinner at the large table at lower level. The village Margarites is lovely with great ceramic shops.

A wonderful holiday

Yanis, Manos and the family make you feel really special. Their kindness and generosity made this a really special holiday. The villa and pool are spotless and we loved every minute. We hired a car as the villa is quite rural. The beaches are worth the drive (from twenty minutes to an hour and a half). The village of Margarites is beautiful, the villages treat you like family!! If you get the chance, rent this villa and have a great holiday!!!

Sehr schön

Danke Irini für unsere schönen Ferien in Ihrem Haus! Der Empfang war sehr herzlich, es gab sogar einen selbstgemachten, sehr leckeren griechischen Auflauf und Irini hatte für unsere Kinder sogar etwas Spielzeug besorgt und bereitgelegt! Das Haus ist sehr schön renoviert, zwei Wohnungen mit je zwei Schlafzimmern übereinander mit getrennten Eingängen. Super schön ist der Außenbereich, wir haben immer draußen gefrühstückt, umgeben von den herrlichen Orangen- und Olivenbäume. Mitte Oktober war der Pool wie zu Erwarten eisekalt, unsere Söhne sind trotzdem reingesprungen und hatten ihren Spaß... Das Dorf ist ganz klein und halb verlassen, man hört nur die Ziegen. Es gibt eigentlich keine Autos, so dass unsere Söhne alleine in der nahen Umgebung herumstromern durften. Im Nachbarort Margerites, sehr hübsch im Herbst, absolut nicht überlaufen, haben wir meist zu Abend gegessen, sehr zu empfehlen. Wir haben sehr viele Ausflüge in die Umgebung gemacht, Ausgrabungsstätten, Tropfsteinhöhlen und die Strände an der Nordküste. Natürlich dauert die Fahrt an die Nordküste ein Stück, ca 20min nach Panormos und dann je nachdem wohin noch weiter. Wir haben es jedoch immer genossen, nicht an der Küste zu wohnen, sondern oben in "unserem" völlig untouristischem Bergdorf zu sein. Danke an Irini für Ihre Herzlichkeit und die immer direkte und u komplizierte Kommunikation via WhatsApp.

Propriété très agréable sur les hauteurs de Margaritas

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable en famille dans cette propriété. L’accueil à un horaire pourtant tardif a été simple et très chaleureux, la sœur du propriétaire nous avait même préparé un repas pour notre arrivée. Merci à elle pour ses petites attentions, et le ménage deux fois sur nos deux semaines de location. Le village de Margaritas à 5 minutes, est adorable, tourné vers l’artisanat de la poterie. Les premières plages sont à 20 minutes, Rethymnon est à 40 minutes. Les extérieurs de la maison sont formidables: coin repas avec barbecue géant, piscine, transat avec ombrage d’une haie d’oliviers et de citronniers. L’aménagement intérieur est un peu plus sommaire (pas de micro-onde, un mini-lave-vaisselle par appartement). Au total, un séjour en Crête qui nous a beaucoup plu, et une location à conseiller en particulier quand on est nombreux (idéal pour deux familles).

Family vacation

The villa was very nice. It is located in very small village which makes it really peaceful and quiet place. Exactly what our family values. What made this place and our vacation special was our landlord’s help during our vacation. Her and family’s hospitality made really a difference, and made us feel really welcome. Peaceful countryside house

We stayed as a family of 8 in this lovely traditional house, which is at the top of the lovely village of Margarites. The village itself was a 10 minute walk downhill , very pretty and a few nice places to eat and drink. A 25 minute drive to some fabulous beaches! The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed , the garden and pool area was lovely too. Very peaceful area with some amazing countryside views. The host Irini and her family were very helpful and made some very kind gestures. If you want a nice relaxing holiday then we recommend this place! Laura and Family

Lemon trees and pizzaowen

Nice House and a perfekt pool - and view to the mountains. There were so peaceful. Irini were very helpful. Her father came with firewood to the pizzaowen. We had the best vaccation. We had rented a car - it was perfect, In Rethymno we Can recommend restaurant Alana. Thank you for all family Irini :-)

Gemütliches Haus in ruhiger Lage mit sehr netten Vermietern

Wir waren zwei Wochen hier und es hat uns fantastisch gefallen. Die Lage ist perfekt mitten in der Insel, alle unsere geplanten Ausflugsziele waren daher gut zu erreichen und Strände sind auch in angenehmer Entfernung. Der nahegelegen Ort Margeritas hat ebenfalls viel zu bieten, was wir aufgrund unserer vorab geplanten Ausflüge aber leider erst gegen Ende unseres Urlaubes entdeckt haben. Das Haus selbst ist kein neugebauter Klotz aus Gussbeton, wie es leider immer häufiger vorkommt, sondern ein richtig schönes, renoviertes, traditionell gebautes Gebäude in einem sehr guten und gepflegten Zustand. Es ist sehr geräumig, wir waren acht Personen und hatten alle bequem Platz. Die Vermieter sind sehr nette und zuvorkommende Leute. Bei Fragen waren sie immer zu erreichen und haben auch sehr schnell geantwortet. Insgesamt war von unserer Ankunft bis zur Abreise alles wirklich unkompliziert. Der Umgang kann am besten als freundschaftlich bezeichnet werden. Insgesamt hätte es nicht besser sein können weshalb wir das Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Wenn wir wieder einmal nach Kreta reisen, wist dieses Haus auf jedem Fall unsere erste Wahl.

Fantastic

The property was ideal for a relaxing stay for two families of four. The Villa (split into two apartments), the grounds and the pool were perfect. The hosts were kind, polite, helpful and generous.... Perfect. There are loads of places to visit nearby, history and beaches abound. The village nearby is beautiful and magnificent views along the gorge to the sea. The village is walking distance (wear sensible shoes for the walk back up the hill) …. would I recommend this property YES YES YES

Outstanding Villa and Family

The host family is very warm and friendly and very helpful. That's why we have been to this villa for the second time this year. Again we enjoyed the time very much. The property is ideal for one large or two families and offers everything you need for your holiday. The garden with pool is beautiful. The house service is above average and special wishes are realized within a short time. With pleasure again and again!

Altes Schätzchen, aber viel Platz und noch mehr Charme!

Wir haben Mitte September einen ganz tollen Urlaub in dem alten Steinhaus verbracht. Es ist wirklich sehr viel Platz vorhanden und auch für Kinder ist das Haus sehr geeignet. Der Pool ist besonders für kleinere Kinder gut, da er vorne nur ca. 80 cm tief ist und dann nach hinten hin langsam tiefer wird. So können die Kinder super über die Leiter selber einsteigen und sogar stehen. Es ist auch viel Badespielzeug vorhanden, man muss nichts groß mitnehmen. Das ist ein riesen Vorteil, besonders wenn man mit dem Flugzeug anreist. Warmes Wasser kommt über einen externen, solarbetriebenen Wasserspeicher. Ist der Tank leer, ist es auch mit dem warmen Wasser erst einmal vorbei, aber das ist auch der einzige Minuspunkt, welchem ich evtl. bemängeln könnte. Wir Deutsche sind halt dauerhaft warmes Wasser in der Dusche gewöhnt :-) Die Vermieter haben uns sehr herzlich mit Speis & Trank nach griechischer Art empfangen und der Reinigungsservice ist 1A! Vielen Dank dafür!

Beautiful house, lovely pool and outside eating area and a very warm welcome from the owner

We had a wonderful stay at Afroditi's House and would absolutely recommend the property to family and friends! It is a nicely restored stone-built house in a little hamlet just outside the attractive village of Margarites. Our group had 8 adults and 2 young children and the house was perfect for us; plenty of space for the children to run about and an attractive pool surrounded by low-growing orange and olive trees to provide shade. We had many happy meals round the big outside table and had fun with the pizza oven too. The owners were incredibly warm and generous, always quick to respond if we had a question (though they respected our privacy too). We were made to feel really welcome with some beautiful food when we arrived from the airport and we got the impression they had really thought about what would make our holiday a happy one by, for example, providing some toys for the children. The location is also good.. not far from the sea and some great beaches but with good access to the mountains and some walks you can do straight from the house. The ancient site of Eleftherna is close by and there are some great Tavernas within walking distance too. A thoroughly enjoyable stay!!

Das Haus und der Garten sind sehr schön. Es ist alles da um Urlaub zu machen.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen, obwohl wir 2 Stunden verspätet in Heraklion und somit auch am Ferienhaus ankamen. (Tuifly) Angenehm war auch, dass man über die Hausbesitzerin leicht erreichen konnte. Wir haben uns gleich wohlgefühlt. Man kann auch viel Zeit am Haus verbringen, aber ein Auto muss man auf jeden Fall anmieten , um einkaufen und sich die Gegend ansehen zu können. Oder wenn man an's Meer zu baden möchte. Man lebt auf dem Land , dadurch hört man selten ein Auto. Nur Schafe , Ziegen und die dazugehörigen Hunde. Also wenn man Urlaub in der Idylle verbringen möchte ohne den üblichen Hotel und Touristenrummel ist man im Haus Afroditis genau richtig.

Through a journey that started in 2001, Oreo Travel was founded by Stratos Beretis, an experienced member of the Greek Tourism Industry, a Graduate of the Department of Economics of the University of Crete and a Master Degree Holder in Tourism Business Management.
Having passed through several management positions, he was won over by the occupation with tailor made tourism services and especially in inbound tourism in villas, independent properties, country houses and small holiday rental units.
Oreo Travel started as a representative of global tour operators and continues to this day with an ever-growing network of partners and properties in Crete, Peloponnese and Athens, in line with the new promotional and managing methods.
Our goal at Oreo Travel is to promote the properties we partner with in the best way possible, by solely operating as a booking agent on behalf of our partner-property owners, whom we advise and guide in providing high standards of hospitality for their guests, in accordance with the regulations and the laws that govern the accommodation industry.
Furthermore, we are constantly available for our guests to answer questions, solve potential problems that may arise while booking or staying in, and to recommend services that may be needed to facilitate their stay and maximize their travel experience (car rental, transportation, tours, excursions, and concierge services). Our customer support operates daily from 7 am to 11 pm and we provide 24/7 emergency support to our valuable customers.
