The Luz Beach House – Luxury Family Villa, Praia da Luz

Welcome to The Luz Beach House, a spacious, recently renovated luxury villa just an 8-minute walk from the beautiful Praia da Luz beach. Tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac, the house enjoys beautiful views across Luz Bay and towards the famous Black Rock, while being close enough to walk into the village, restaurants, cafés and beach.

The villa comfortably sleeps 6 guests, with the option of an additional put-me-up bed for a child and a travel cot for a baby. It has a private salt-water swimming pool with built-in jacuzzi, brand-new air conditioning throughout, three large modern bedrooms, two en-suite bathrooms and a family bathroom, plus a separate games annexe with full-size table tennis and basketball net.

Outside, you'll find a fantastic alfresco kitchen, BBQ area and brand-new outdoor sports bar with bar seating, wine fridge and TV.

Best of all, the entire property is on one level with step-free access, including an accessible shower, making it particularly suitable for wheelchair users and guests with reduced mobility.

THE OUTDOOR SPACE

The outdoor space is designed for making the most of the Algarve sunshine and spending time together.

The private salt-water swimming pool has a built-in jacuzzi, giving you the perfect place to cool down during the day or relax in the evening. In the summer months, the pool is heated free of charge using our brand-new solar-panel heating system.

The pool and terrace are surrounded by greenery, creating a private and peaceful space to relax. There are plenty of different areas to sit, whether you're looking for sunshine or shade.

The large outdoor dining area comfortably seats 8 people, making it ideal for long lunches, family dinners and BBQ evenings.

There are plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy throughout the day, whether you're an early-morning sun lover, want to find a shady spot during the hottest part of the afternoon or want to sit outside together as the sun goes down.

THE ALFRESCO KITCHEN

One of our favourite additions to the house is the outdoor kitchen and entertainment area.

It includes:

Heated outdoor surf-style shower

The heated outdoor shower is particularly handy after a day at the beach or surfing — rinse off the sand and salt before jumping straight into the pool or relaxing outside.

The outdoor kitchen means you can cook, eat and entertain outside without constantly having to go back into the main house.

THE OUTDOOR SPORTS BAR

We've also added a brand-new outdoor sports bar, creating another fantastic space for families and friends to spend time together.

There is bar seating, a wine fridge and an outdoor TV, making it perfect for watching sport, enjoying an evening drink or simply hanging out outside.

The outdoor areas have been designed so that you can spend an entire day outside without needing to head indoors — breakfast in the sunshine, swimming and relaxing by the pool, an afternoon BBQ and drinks at the bar as the sun goes down.

THE GAMES ANNEXE

For families, the separate games annexe is a huge bonus.

Located next to the main house, it gives children and adults their own space to have fun without disturbing anyone relaxing inside.

The games annexe includes:

Games and activities for children

We also provide bodyboards and beach toys, so the children can make the most of the beach and coastline.

Because the games room is in a separate building, it works brilliantly for families with children of different ages — or for adults who want a little peace and quiet in the main house.

THE LIVING AREA

Inside, the house is spacious, bright and modern, with a relaxed luxury feel.

The villa has brand-new air conditioning throughout, as well as heating, making it comfortable for holidays at any time of year.

The main lounge has comfortable seating, a television and speakers, with large windows bringing in plenty of natural light and allowing you to enjoy the beautiful Luz views.

There are three televisions across the property, so there is plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy their own entertainment.

The layout has been designed around easy indoor-outdoor living, with the living areas opening naturally onto the terrace and pool.

The Luz Beach House has three large, recently renovated bedrooms, all furnished in a modern and comfortable style.

The master bedroom enjoys lovely sea views and direct access to the terrace, giving you the chance to wake up and enjoy the view across Luz Bay.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

The Luz Beach House comfortably sleeps 6 guests across the three bedrooms.

For families travelling with younger children, we can also provide a put-me-up bed suitable for an additional child, as well as a travel cot for a baby.

This gives families some extra flexibility without compromising the spaciousness and comfort of the main bedrooms.

Please let us know in advance if you require the additional child's bed or travel cot so that we can have everything prepared for your arrival.

THE KITCHEN & DINING ROOM

The separate indoor kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need for a self-catering holiday.

We've tried to think of all the little things that make staying in a holiday home easy, so you'll find a comprehensive range of cooking equipment, utensils, crockery and appliances.

The separate dining room has a large table that comfortably seats 8–10 people, making it perfect for everyone to sit down together for meals.

Of course, if the weather is good, you can take everything outside and enjoy dinner in the alfresco dining area instead.

ACCESSIBILITY

Accessibility was an important consideration when designing and renovating The Luz Beach House.

The entire property is on one level, including the entrance and outdoor areas, with no steps to negotiate.

There is also an accessible shower, making the property particularly suitable for wheelchair users and guests with reduced mobility.

The spacious layout and level access make it easy to move between the bedrooms, living areas, kitchen, dining room, pool and outdoor spaces.

THE LOCATION

The location is one of the things our guests love most.

The house is approximately 8 minutes' walk from Praia da Luz beach, meaning you can leave the car behind and walk down for a morning swim, lunch by the sea or an evening stroll along the promenade.

Praia da Luz itself is a beautiful, relaxed village with a lovely sandy beach, restaurants, cafés, bars, shops and everything you need for a family holiday.

At the same time, The Luz Beach House is tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac, giving you a peaceful place to come home to after a day exploring.

The location is also an excellent base for exploring the wider Algarve, including Lagos, Sagres and the stunning beaches of the western Algarve.

YOUR ARRIVAL

Once your booking is confirmed, we'll send you plenty of information about the local area, including recommendations for restaurants, beaches, activities, transport and car hire.

Our Property Manager is also available to help make your arrival as easy as possible and can arrange things such as shopping for your arrival and transport, if required.

For bookings of more than one week, mid-stay cleaning and fresh linen and towels are included in the price.

POOL HEATING

During the summer months, the pool is heated free of charge using our new solar-panel heating system.

Between October and April, pool heating is available electrically at an additional cost of £150 for up to 7 days. This must be requested in advance of your arrival.

The Luz Beach House isn't simply somewhere to sleep while you're visiting Portugal. We've designed it as a place where you can genuinely spend time together, relax and enjoy your holiday.

From the private pool and jacuzzi to the sea views, games annexe, outdoor kitchen and sports bar, there are spaces for everyone.

You can walk to the beach in eight minutes, spend the afternoon by your private pool, challenge the family to table tennis, shoot some hoops, cook dinner outside, watch the sunset from the terrace and finish the evening with a drink at the sports bar.

Everything has been thought about to make your stay comfortable, easy and memorable.
