The Tiddler | Winterton Cottages

The Tiddler is situated in a small development of holiday homes in the Lighthouse Field behind Hermanus Holidays in Winterton-on-Sea. Inside you'll find an open plan living area, electric fire and Smart TV. There's a dining area which seats four, and a well equipped kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The chalet is decorated tastefully throughout.

There are two comfortable bedrooms. The first has a standard double bed and the second bedroom has two 3' single beds making it a perfect family getaway. The bathroom has a large walk in shower, washbasin and WC. Two dogs are welcome at The Tiddler but please note that the grounds are not enclosed. Dogs are very welcome throughout the property. If they join you on the furniture we do ask that you use the throws provided. The Tiddler has wifi.

Guests at The Tiddler have access to the facilities at Hermanus*, including the outdoor heated swimming pool which is open from late May to early September. It is right next to the childrens' play area and surrounded by a brick wall to keep out the coastal breeze. There is a launderette and plenty of parking on site. The Coach & Horses bar & lounge is at the front of the main Hermanus building with amazing sea views, and is open for drinks and food throughout the week.

Perfect

A really perfect cabin, comfortable and cosy. Superb location right by the beach! Peaceful and calm! Winterton-on-sea has all we need - cafes, chippy, pub and shop! Comfortable and relaxing

My Daughter, Granddaughter and I had a lovely relaxing stay in The Tiddler. The facilities were over and above what we expected with some unexpected extras. The site is well maintained and Elsie enjoyed the playground as she loves climbing. We had one day when the internet was not working but managed fine without it. I had my young dog with me and kept a very strict eye on her and picked up after her all of our stay. Unfortunately there are some people that weren’t so fastidious. Hoping to return in the future

Second stay at Tiddler.

This was our second stay at Tiddler. On both occasions the accommodation has been clean, very comfortable and well equipped. Plenty of attention to detail makes it a pleasure to stay at. An ideal base for exploring the coast.

Just perfect

We've stayed on the Hermanus site before but not at this property so we thought we knew what to expect, but this exceeded all our expectations. It was much bigger than we anticipated and beautifully maintained and decorated with everything we could have wanted for a perfect mini break. There was bread and milk waiting for us on arrival along with fresh flowers and strawberries, a very welcome touch. The bed and sofas were comfortable, there was plenty of hot water and we found a fan in the cupboard which, considering it was the hottest week of the year so far, was invaluable. The site was quiet so we made use of the pool and ate out one evening at The Highwayman, which was very good quality and value for money. All in all it is safe to say we would certainly return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Everything you could possibly need!

We love The Tiddler situated on the Hermanus site. We get to enjoy all the amenities and the pool. (Opening times and weather permitting!) The whole area is perfect for dogs too. The owners of The Tiddler have put serious effort into providing the perfect place to stay. We cannot fault it and look forward to our next stay. Once you find this gem, you won’t want to stay anywhere else!

Fabulous place to stay!

The property was spotless and thoroughly met our expectations. The location could not have been better. We had some wonderful walks with the dog and being located almost in the centre of the village was perfect. Many thanks for letting us stay and we would definitely stay again.

A Welcome Break for R&R!

We had the most lovely time at The Tiddler! Whilst we are familiar with the location as well as the Hermanus site, this was our first visit to The Tiddler and we were not disappointed! The accommodation has everything you could need and more! Fresh milk and cookies on arrival as well as treats for our two furry terrors were thoughtful and appreciated touches! We loved all the sea-themed decorative touches as well as the Winterton history in the maps and postcards. Centrally located we enjoyed parking up and leaving the car for our stay to enjoy the beach and walks as far as Horsey, Hemsby the other way and beyond! Delicious meals were enjoyed at The Fisherman's Return as well as The Nelson pub, our two doggos were welcomed and thoroughly spoilt everywhere we went! We will be back!!!

The Tiddler Winterton On Sea

The Tiddler as the name suggests is quite compact but has plenty of room for myself and my wife to enjoy our break in Norfolk. We found the Tiddler to be in excellent condition with everything in perfect order. This was our second visit to Winterton and as before we were not disappointed with a lovely coastal village and plenty of places nearby to visit. I would heartily recommend visiting Winterton and the Tiddler.

A lovely Retreat

We have just had a fabulous break away in The Tiddler. Everything that you need and more for a lovely stay in Winterton. Fabulous walks on the beach, popping for food, and drinks in The Fisherman's. We loved it all and we will be going back!
