Hola Courtney – Thank you for the positive comments about our condo. I worked for Hilton Hotels Corporation for 20 years on property and at the corporate level. We do our best to anticipate our guest needs to ensure they have a great stay. I do disagree that I “dismissed” your concerns regarding the construction across the street from Lapalapa. I had been on property and stayed in our condo all of December through mid-January. I was also there in March through the 18th. I explained that demolition of the old building and restaurants at the site was complete in mid-December. Tryst Hotel, the owner of the block, was building a two-story fitness center and a market on the site. All the major jackhammering and deconstruction was over but there would be intermittent noise during the rebuild and they quit work most days at 5PM. I have return guests each year that stay in January and February and I also stayed in 605. Yes, there was noise during the day but no one felt it made their stay less enjoyable. I did not post anything on the site because there were long periods that nothing was going on with this project. That said, I am a responsible owner and have posted projects that are taking place in our building that we have control of. I would have been happy to help you find other accommodations during your stay if you had requested that. Also, I do not think my message regarding your child’s supervision at the pool was “demeaning or disrespectful.” I received an email on Friday, April 10th from our administrator that there were children jumping and doing cannon balls off the raised platform at the pool. He told me a member of our staff had talked to you and I thought the issue was over. I received another email on Mon, April 13th that your child was jumping off the platform again. One of our owners was present and claims she politely asked your daughter to not to jump off the platform into the pool. The pool is only 15’ by 30’ and just 4 feet deep. It really is not safe to jump into the pool from the platform and I'm sure you must understand this would be disruptive to other guests trying to use the pool. Evidently, she then jumped off the platform again and a different owner asked you “please do not let her jump off the platform.” He tells me you replied “It’s not written on the sign with the list of pool rules that there is no jumping.” I feel this was disrespectful to the other guests at the pool. We have children stay at Lapalapa all the time and honestly, this is the first time we have ever had this problem in my ten plus years here. That said I would like to see if we can provide you with an enjoyable stay. You may have one complimentary night applied to a future stay with us. Jan - you and your husband were our perfect guests! We would love to have you back anytime! Just one point - the building is right on the beach . But you do have to exit from the street side and walk around to the beach - so 1/2 a block away is a good explanation! Eric
