I am sorry your stay did not live up to your expectations and this is our first less than stellar review. Yes - LaPalapa is an urban beachfront destination and there is activity in the area. Yes - we are on the south side of the building and there is an unobstructed view facing Los Muertos Beach. This is exactly as described in our listing on the website. Most of the street noise diminishes around 11PM and is mitigated by closing the balcony door. I had occupied 605 the week prior to your arrival when I discovered the latch was broken on the balcony door. I explained to you that the part had to be ordered and would not arrive until the Tuesday of you stay. You e-mailed me that you had done a repair with tape until the contractor brought the part. The manager at LaPalapa informed me the repair was done on Wednesday, 11/6. There are also instructions in our guidebook in the condo and in the e-mail I sent to you. You could have contacted the front desk and they would have had the maintenance department fix the door temporarily until the part arrived. I'm sorry about the "Spiderman" comment you have taken out of context. We have owned our condo in LaPalapa for five years. My fellow owners have been there up to 15 or 20 years. I have not been told of one instance (even "Urban Legend") of one of our units being broken into from the balconies. Our unit is six stories up from the street and our balconies are not connected. The adjacent balconies are 12 feet away on one side and 20 feet away on the other with a 6 story drop between each. I was just trying to relieve some of your anxiety Again, I'm sorry we did not live up to your expectations but there is nothing that could not have been rectified during your stay. Eric Newcomb
