In all fairness, I booked my visit 3 days out from arrival. However, I put in my request, the request was accepted with a note indicating that further instructions would be sent and I received my payment receipt all two days prior to arrival. I used the VRBO app to reach out to the owner to get check in instructions, but received not response. I kept calling the number provided before and after arriving, but nobody answered. We took a taxi to the property hoping there would be a clue. After standing at the gate for about 15 minutes trying to figure out how to call VRBO, the property manager happened to show up. Since she managed the property, she was very apologetic, said she hadn't been notified by the owner, but got us settled. Because there was no notice given, sheets were mildewing in washer and dryer and the place had not been made ready. We cleaned the place up and later found out the owner was recovering from surgery. The condo complex has a wonderful luxury Mexican resort feel and the unit even more charming. My only warning is to make sure you receive clear instructions regarding the check in process and contact info for property manager, well before arriving.
