From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the exquisite and sophisticated decor of this property. It is ideally situated just steps from the vibrant energy of the Malecon and local beaches, yet provides a tranquil escape when you need it. Spending afternoons by the serene pool and hot tub was a highlight of our trip. Fabulous condo in old Town PV

This is an amazing property, two large bedrooms and two baths. Well-stocked kitchen and views all around. There is a local manager who is very helpful. If you want a great stay in old town PV this is a lovely place to stay. We will be coming back!

Outstanding!

Casa Higuera felt like a home away from home! Wonderfully stocked and very nicely decorated and furnished with beautiful views. It was also very quiet. Although this condo overlooks a pool, we never heard any noise. One of the best features is the ability to open up the living area's bi-fold windows and doors and enjoy the gentle breeze off the ocean. The appliances were very nice (blender, coffee maker, newer fridge) and the cleaning staff does a detailed job when cleaning. The people in the complex were also very welcoming and provided us with more dining tips too! Another plus is how close you are to bars, restaurants, convience stores, etc. If you want a bit to eat or a beer it is a block away. There are some steps to deal with getting in and out of the complex, but we did not mind that at all! Overall an amazing trip, an excellent host and beautiful condo!

Beautiful place!

We stayed at Casa Higuera for a week at the start of 2023. It's a beautiful place and obviously someone's home away from home as it is well stocked, lighting is beautiful and well considered and space comfortable. The unit is well situated within the Selva compound - from the living room / balcony you have views of the ocean and are perched in the trees above the nicest part of Selva's fantastic garden below, and it being the top floor has vaulted ceilings up to beams and terra cotta tiles - beautiful. The balcony of bedroom one overlooks the hills of alta vista and balcony of bedroom 2 the pool in our compound. Beds were very comfortable - we asked that bedroom 2 be set up as a king bed rather than two singles which the host did - the unit worked very well for 2 couples. Both bedrooms were nice and light but had blackout curtains as well. Mavy the property manager and Cihan our host were both very attentive with respect to any requests, meeting times for key pickup/drop off, and just checking in to see if we had what we needed. Thank you Mavy and Cihan - this was a very enjoyable stay.

Lovely! And PERFECT location!

We had a really lovely time here. The overall vibe of the place is very cheery, warm colors, beautiful views (we really appreciated all the tropical greenery out of the windows). A+ location just above, and gratefully a tad out of, the action. Walk to EVERYTHING. Managed well. Kind and efficient.

Wonderful location!

Great unit with any amenity you could think of. The location can't be beat, 5 minute walk to be in the middle of romantic zone. Very nice to have a washer/dryer in the unit along with a lovely pool area!

Very relaxing!

This historic condo is well equipped and located close to all the best restaurants. Caution to elderly, it’s up several flights of stairs and up a hill. Great trip!

Location, Location, Location + Character

Beautiful property that can NOT be captured in photos. This is our 4th stay in the Selva Romantica complex but first at this particular unit. View was worth adjusting our schedules to get this unit. Yes, you have to climb a few stairs (my wife, 63, has had 3 back surgeries and felt the complex/condo was worth the hike up). Yes, there can be some outside conversations heard by those at the pool, and a little music on certain nights from down below, but again minor; we'd just close the bedroom door (if needed). Everything needed is nearby. The unit was equipped with more than what was needed. Mavy (Reception Agent) and Cleaning service were extremely nice, professional, and attended to everything. Unit was extremely cleaned. Master Bed was firm but very comfortable. I think we even lucked out with new sheets. No issues with communications with Owner(s) or Reception Highly Recommend

We're definitely coming back

The property is just lovely. It's larger than the pictures suggest. Two big bedrooms and bathrooms, plus ample living space. Decorated beautifully. Most comfortable bed I've slept in outside of home. The location is ideal, yet the setting tucked away in the larger complex gives privacy and quiet. Great views and access to pool. Owner was responsive and very accommodating. Just a terrific stay!

Last minute

In all fairness, I booked my visit 3 days out from arrival. However, I put in my request, the request was accepted with a note indicating that further instructions would be sent and I received my payment receipt all two days prior to arrival. I used the VRBO app to reach out to the owner to get check in instructions, but received not response. I kept calling the number provided before and after arriving, but nobody answered. We took a taxi to the property hoping there would be a clue. After standing at the gate for about 15 minutes trying to figure out how to call VRBO, the property manager happened to show up. Since she managed the property, she was very apologetic, said she hadn't been notified by the owner, but got us settled. Because there was no notice given, sheets were mildewing in washer and dryer and the place had not been made ready. We cleaned the place up and later found out the owner was recovering from surgery. The condo complex has a wonderful luxury Mexican resort feel and the unit even more charming. My only warning is to make sure you receive clear instructions regarding the check in process and contact info for property manager, well before arriving.

Wonderful condo in an excellent location

Cihan was a wonderful host- very responsive and communicative. A friend and I spent just over two weeks at Casa Higuera and enjoyed every minute. The pictures on the listing really don't do it justice. The condo has beautiful views of the city, ocean, and town of PV. The kitchen was nice, and the smart tv was great to watch netflix, prime etc. easily. While it's in the heart of old town, the Selva Romantica complex is like its own oasis. The rooftop pool/hot tub/deck is unique, and a very relaxing spot to spend time in. Thank you Cihan for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful 2 Bedroom condo!

It had it all: charm, view, location, great service

This property surpassed my expectations in every way. It is a beautiful penthouse with fabulous charm, and two walls with huge sliding windows that open sideways to stunning views - ocean and mountains, and the beautiful infinity pool. I spent every morning on a sofa below the open windows drinking the beauty in. The kitchen is well appointed and we made breakfast most mornings, there were lots of options for coffee (which is best enjoyed on one of the sofas by the open windows!) The place is minutes away from the beach and even closer to the main strip and great restaurants. But we loved the peacefulness of the infinity pool and hot tub and ended most of our days there (there was never a problem getting a seat). The owner and the property manager were both extremely responsive and helpful, warm and welcoming. Four of us very comfortably shared the space (2 bedrooms with balconies, 2 bathrooms) and we intend to go back!

Quiet and still right in reach of everything

This was a perfect location and the nearby new construction is complete so it is quiet. The pool area is lovely. The view from the unit is probably the best on the complex.

You will love it...

We love it here! Perfect location, great views and an amazing pool. Close to restaurants, shopping and the beach. Walking distance to everywhere and the grounds are beautiful. Easy to communicate with the owner and Mavi on site. We couldn’t have asked for more.

Beautiful Place!!

We have been to PV many times and this time we were fortunate enough to stay at Selva Romantica. This condo is probably the best of the best. The views of the bay from the living room were amazing and the condo had everything that we needed. We'd love to stay here again.

Beautiful home with great views. Had everything you could possibly need.

Casa Higuera was great. More then we expected or could have imagined. Is close to the best restuarants, bars & the beach. Just be aware that it is a 4th floor unit (no elevator) & the condos are at the top of a moderately steep road. If you have leg or back issues, take a taxi to top of street for 50 pesos. Otherwise this would be rated a 6☆. We will definitely be back and very whole heartedly recommend Casa Higuera.

Selva Romantica

The Selva Romantica is a very secure, quiet complex just a couple blocks from the beach and a busy shopping area with good restaurants. Our unit, Casa Higuera, was on the top floor of our condo and had a nice view of the ocean and town. The unit is well maintained and we had plenty of supplies for our seven day visit. The unit is also nicely appointed. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. The facility also had a nice workout room. The pool temperature was very comfortable, but the spa, while we were there, was way too hot to enjoy.
