Summary:

Enjoy staying in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés with this spacious 1-bedroom apartment located on the 6th floor of a secure residential building (with an elevator). Self check-in from 3:00 PM by collecting keys at a nearby location. Wi-Fi is available, great for both work and leisure. A refundable damage deposit is required.



The Space:

Welcome to this spacious 40 m² 1-bedroom apartment on the 6th floor of a building with an elevator, perfectly situated on rue Mazarine in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The apartment is professionally cleaned before every arrival so you can settle in straight away.



Bedroom 1: 1 double bed. The bathroom has both a shower and a bathtub.



The living area is a great space to unwind, with a smart tv (flat screen) and dining table and chairs.



The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need: full fridge, oven, microwave, stove, dishwasher, Cookworks coffee machine, and electric kettle and toaster. A washing machine is available for your convenience. The flat has electric heating throughout the cooler months.

Good to know before you book



Check-in: From 3:00 PM via self check-in — simply collect the keys at a nearby location. If you’re arriving after 7:00 PM and need someone to meet you with the keys, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance. Late arrivals between 7:00–9:59 PM incur a €50 fee; 10:00 PM–12:59 AM is €90; after 1:00 AM is €120. We’re flexible when we can be — just give us a heads-up!



Check-out: By 10:00 AM.



Damage deposit: A refundable damage deposit of €800 is required before arrival. It may be processed via a third-party payment provider such as Stripe, Swikly, or Flywire. The deposit is returned in full within 14 days of check-out following a standard inspection.



Max guests: 2 people (including children and infants). Please keep within this limit so everyone is comfortable.



Smoking: The apartment is non-smoking throughout.



Events: The apartment is a private home and not suitable for parties or events.



Guest Access:

The accommodation is private and exclusively for guests during their stay. Free Wi-Fi connection, information on Paris and restaurant recommendations, sheets, towels, soaps and much more.



The Neighborhood:

The 6th arrondissement — Saint-Germain-des-Prés — is one of Paris’s most elegant and intellectually rich neighbourhoods. Once the home of Hemingway, Sartre, and Simone de Beauvoir, the area still retains a refined bohemian character: the famous Café de Flore and Les Deux Magots are here, alongside excellent bookshops, art galleries, and a superb food market on Rue de Buci. The Luxembourg Gardens are a short stroll away, and the Seine, the Louvre, and Notre-Dame are all within comfortable walking distance.

Wi-Fi may occasionally be affected by area-wide connectivity issues. Please note a noise monitoring device is installed at the property entrance for extra security and to ensure the peace of the property. This device is not located in any sleeping area or bathroom. The elevator is not guaranteed and may occasionally be out of service. Common areas, including stairwells, may vary in condition due to cleaning or maintenance. Photos are as accurate as possible — minor updates may not always be reflected immediately. Management may occasionally need access to the property for inspection, maintenance or viewings (between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM with reasonable notice). In genuine emergencies, access may be required without prior notice. We’ll always communicate as much as possible and be respectful of your stay.

You will have the property all to yourself during your stay. We are available by email phone should you require assistance during your stay.

The location is fantastic, close to so many great restaurants and shops. The apartment faces a courtyard so it’s very quiet, which is great after a day in the busy city. Great communication with the host when I had trouble with the check-in. (That was mainly due to user error.) The one stand-out issue was no plug in the bathroom; just FYI.

We loved this place! It is close to two different Metro lines and the RER to the airport. It’s also close to the Louvre and Notre Dame as well as lots of cafes and shopping areas. The street area was hopping during the day but quiet at night, which was perfect. The key cafe pickup was new for me but self explanatory, and we had to store our luggage at a nearby shop until we could get in at 3pm.

The apartment has a lovely bathroom. The kitchen was functional but some of the pans probably need to be replaced. The living room was spacious but needs some deep cleaning, (couch and rug). The bedroom was lovely but small. Overall it is in a very good location and the management was very helpful and responsive to our requests.

Location was great in a lively neighbourhood within a 10 minute walk of Notre Dame. There was plenty of cafes and restaurants outside of the front door.The accommodation was clean and perfect for our stay and the instructions were clear on how to enter the property as well as very helpful email with small videos on how to use the elevator and locate the apartment.

Instructions were clear, location was ideal. Plenty of room and surprisingly quiet. Overall a very easy and convenient stay. Unfortunately the elevator was out of service, which made luggage challenging. However, we would have the exact same stay and experience all over again and still be very pleased.

The check-in process for this property is ridiculous. And not made clearer from the beginning to get the key. You have to go to a laundromat down the street and use a code to get it out of a box but they don’t tell you it’s a laundromat it just give you an address even though there is no street address on the building. The host is impossible to reach my telephone by the way. And then when you get the keys to the building there’s another code to get in the building and then there are two electronic tags which in theory let you into the elevator area and allow you to actually push a button. But when we went through all of this, it turned out the elevator was out of service now this is for an apartment, which is on the seventh floor. It was impossible for us to be able to drag suitcases up seven floors being in our 70s and we could never reach the host. Our phone only text personally I think this property is an embarrassment to be on Vrbo. The building itself was very nice and I’m sure the apartment was as well but we had to cancel it into a hotel and the host made no offer to refund our money so we’ve had to go through Vrbo. There are lots of other properties in Paris. I would avoid this one.

The location is super. The building is quite handsome and very well maintained. The apartment is well equipped, and although as others have noted the salon furnishings are dated and worn, the bed is comfortable, the linens are clean, and the bathroom well appointed. I would be tempted to book here again. Sadly, the housekeeping and upkeep of the apartment are not what I expect from VRBO. My week long stay (with a water leak under the kitchen sink and very polite but distant communication with the host “team”) left me with the impression that there is apparently no local manager to oversee the cleaning and to handle maintenance problems promptly when and if they arise.

The apartment was well located with easy access to restaurants, the river, Bateaux Bus and Museums. However, check-in required retrieving the key from a lock box at a laundry with no human contact, the key was not available until the exact checkin time. Same procedure for check out. Anyone renting this apartment should be advised in advance that there are no “amenities” ie no soap, no paper towels, no tissues,no shower supplies and remarkably NO TOILEt PAPER. We had to go shopping immediately. There was only one set of towels each for our 4 night stay. Also the elevator is so small only one person and their suitcase fit at a time. Apt on the 6th floor taking the stairs is not an alternative

Worst VRBO I’ve stayed in. The biggest issue was safety. My partner slipped getting out of the shower, cut his elbow, hit his head, and suffered a concussion. The bathtub is unusually high, the faux-marble floor becomes extremely slippery when wet, and no bath mat was provided. What should have been a relaxing vacation instead involved dealing with a head injury in a foreign country.The problems didn’t stop there. The elevator was not working when we arrived, which meant carrying luggage up six flights of stairs. As I was pregnant, this was particularly difficult.Despite being told there would be two fans, only one was provided for the entire apartment during a Paris heat wave. The bedroom is tiny, has almost no airflow, and was unbearably hot at night.Basic amenities were lacking. We were given only two bath towels and two hand towels for the entire stay. There was no bath mat and no hand soap in either bathroom.The apartment also felt poorly maintained. The living room floor creaks loudly and feels uneven underfoot. The bed appeared tilted so your head was lower than your feet, and the pillows were tiny and uncomfortable.Communication before arrival was poor. The host repeatedly requested a 400 damage deposit starting more than a month before our stay. The deposit was charged, not held, and took two weeks after checkout to be returned, arriving very close to the review deadline.Overall, this property felt poorly maintained. I would strongly suggest elsewhere.

Picturesque flat in the heart of it all

What a great flat. Has everything you need to enjoy life as a carefree local. A magical stay. The building is safe and quiet, the flat itself impeccably detailed, and host was gracious and attentive.

The location of this apartment is perfect. We were able to walk everywhere, which was great. The neighborhood was lively but the apartment is courtyard facing, so it was generally quiet and calm. The host was very responsive to our questions and the unit was very clean. Our only dislikes were the oven, which doubles as a microwave and was complicated to use, and the lack of some essentials, like soap in the bathroom. Luckily, there were many stores nearby and we were able to buy everything we needed. As mentioned by other reviewers, the key pickup is at a laundromat. The machine is a little finicky and the address written on the key is incorrect, but it worked just fine in the end.

Great apartment

Beautiful apartment in a great neighborhood. The most comfortable bed we have ever had in a rental and even some hotels! Thank God for the elevator. We have been to Paris many times, and this is the best rental we have ever had. Highly recommended.
