2-bedroom gite - Péniche Spa Le Makara

The Barge Le Makara is fully privatised and can accommodate up to 4 people.

It has two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom: one with integrated toilet, the other with separate toilet.

The equipped kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine...) allows you to prepare your meals independently.

Bed linen and towels are provided.

Outside, an outdoor dining area allows you to enjoy the natural surroundings and the view of the water in peace.

Welcome to the Barge Le Makara, a charming cottage moored on the Île de la Barthelasse. A true haven of peace in the heart of nature, it offers a moment of calm and disconnection just a few minutes from the historic centre of Avignon. An ideal place for nature and tranquillity lovers.

Regardless of the chosen package, you will enjoy the barge exclusively in a warm and cosy atmosphere, as if it were your own. No space is shared with other travellers.

The difference between the packages only concerns the number of rooms available.

Solo Version - 1 bedroom

Ideal for a romantic getaway or a peaceful stay for two. At your disposal:

- A comfortable double bedroom

- A private bathroom

- A pleasant and bright living space

- A fully equipped kitchen for self-catering

- An outdoor terrace and a relaxation area with sun loungers overlooking the Rhône

The second bedroom is not open in this package, in order to preserve an intimate and peaceful atmosphere.

Comfort Version - 2 bedrooms

This package is ideal for a family or a stay with friends. At your disposal:

- Two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, with integrated WC for one and separate for the other

- A pleasant and bright living space

- A fully equipped kitchen for self-catering

- An outdoor terrace and a relaxation area with sun loungers to relax facing the Rhône

This package can accommodate up to 4 people, in a quiet and completely private setting.

The reservation of the jacuzzi is available at an additional cost.

Private Jacuzzi available upon reservation. Please request it at the time of booking. Service available from 15th March to 15th November.

Une parenthèse enchantée !

Nous avons vécu une parenthèse enchantée sur la péniche Le Makara. Le cadre est idyllique et les couchages sont d’un grand confort ! Nos enfants repartent avec de très beaux souvenirs. Nous remercions chaleureusement Lylia et Patrick pour leur accueil ainsi que pour leurs délicates attentions. Nous ne manquerons pas de revenir si l’occasion se présente.

Une superbe expérience, à revivre !

Avec mes 2 enfants on a passé des moments inoubliables grâce à l'emplacement de la péniche, l'accueil aux petits soins des hôtes, l'originalité de l'hébergement, la qualité des couchages, le jaccuzi face au Rhône... On renouvelera l'expérience avec plaisir ! Un grand merci à Patrick et Lylia.

Un long we ressourçant et atypique

Le lieu loin du bruit mais proche du centre pour découvrir Avignon ainsi que ses alentours! Nous avons apprécié le pot d’accueil ,le petit déjeuner ,la literie ,le jacuzzi.. tout est bien pensé sur cette péniche :)

Péniche fonctionnelle , bien agencée ,très bonne literie:) Patrick propose des petits déjeuners de qualité, service Spa et vélo à louer.Patrick est très à l’écoute, et en cas de besoin, son logement jouxte la location.Une mention spéciale à Migris, le chat de garde qui saura vous apporter beaucoup de douceur.

Un cadre idyllique pour débuter l’année ! Super moment en famille! Merci à Patrick et Lylia pour leur accueil chaleureux et leurs petites attentions pour faire de notre séjour un moment très agréable en famille. For 30 years, the barge Le Makara was an event barge on the quay of La Ligne in Avignon and then on the banks of the Seine in Paris. After numerous compliance works, renovations and improvements, the former boatman's cabin now allows you to spend delightful moments of contemplation and serenity on the water. We are delighted to share this unusual place with you in a natural and romantic setting!!!
