Overall the appartment was as described. However, there is NO AIR-CONDITIONING. I had seen a review describing a problem with the air conditioning and so had sent a message through VRBO before I left asking about it, but the company did not inform me of any issues ahead of time. When I got to the appartment I was told it was a serious electrical issue and they would have to shut down the appartment to solve it and so we would not have air conditioning for the week. This was frustrating since one bedroom is on the top floor so gets hot (the windows can’t open). So we had to make do with fans. One thing not described in the listing is the property manager- checkyourguest who manage the property on behalf of Bellavilla. Their staff are fantastic and they work close to the appartment so you can even drop in and speak to them (which I had to do to regarding the air conditioning issue.)

Beautiful and bright apartment located very close to Gare de Nord and within easy walking distance to Montmartre and central Paris, There are also several supermarkets and great restaurants nearby, It's a fantastic starting point to explore central London with two very nice but small bedrooms, The apartment is very clean, easily accessible, and the communication was good, The actual property matches the pictures, We only deducted a point for cleanliness because the downstairs shower room had a smell (although it's unlikely to be used as there is another shower room on the ground floor), Additionally, there is no handrail when going downstairs, so if you are elderly, I would not recommend it,

The air conditioning didn't work. We contacted the broker, CheckMyGuest, to inform them the morning after our first night. They contacted the host and they came after a couple of hours to check. They discovered that the AC fuse kept blowing when trying to run it only after a minute. He said they would contact an electrician to come fix the issue either that evening or the following morning. This was the last time we heard from the host and never saw an electrician. Despite many calls, messages and attempts to communicate through the broker, we never managed to get the repairs done. During a call with CheckMyGuest, they stated that the unit didn't have AC. I had taken a screen shot of the original booking and it clearly stated air conditioning. The host had tried to remove it from the listing. The unit was upwards to 30*C and completely unbearable. None of the windows open. So we were forced to open the front door to get some of the cool night breeze in the unit. Unfortunately, when we decided to sleep, we had to close the door for our safety as many homeless people were sleeping in the street. I'm appalled by this lack of communication and lack of effort in trying to help. None of my family nor I slept well as we were sweating throughout the night. We even had to sleep on the pull out couch in the basement to try and get away from the heat. This bed was terribly uncomfortable. The bed and the heat and the lack of sleep ruined our experience. Do not book!

The apartment was just as described, but the layout turned out to be different from what we had expected, The double sink and vanity were located downstairs, and the sink on the left was not usable because the door was in the way, The shower door couldn't fully open due to the ceiling-mounted shower head obstructing it, The maximum door width was probably only 24 inches, The main issue we faced was that the air conditioning was mentioned in the listing, and it was a very hot week in Paris, Unfortunately, the apartment never cooled down below 27 degrees Celsius or 86 degrees Fahrenheit, Despite reaching out to the management and owner multiple times, the issue was never resolved, Although fans were provided, it was still very uncomfortable, Joffrey did offer a refund for the inconvenience, The location was excellent, in the 9th arrondissement close to amenities, eateries, and the metro line, which was a key factor in our decision to rent this apartment, The entrance was on the ground floor, right by the sidewalk, making it easy for us to come and go with our bags, If the air conditioning had worked properly, we would have given it a 5-star rating,
