Architecturally, the building is considered a "3 Decker" which is a design most commonly found in New England. 3 Decker style buildings were constructed in Boston as tenement housing in the late 19th early 20th century and were mostly occupied by immigrants who worked in local factories, mills and shipyards. Over the last twenty years, however, many 3 Deckers have been converted to condos, the natural design is appealing to city dwellers who appreciate the high ceilings, bay windows and private outdoor space it affords its residents. 3 Deckers are also well known for each apartment having its own private deck off the rear of the building, one on top of the other. Our guests have exclusive use of their own private deck.
