Nature Lovers Paradise on LoveJoy Lake with Pontoon. This house is located on LoveJoy lake just 12 Miles from Hayward. LoveJoy lake is a clear water 78 acre private lake with no access to the public. We have one of the best lots on the lake with lower elevation, sand bottom and plenty of space. We include the use of a 20' pontoon with a new 4 Stroke Fuel Injected Motor. Lovejoy lake is a very quiet lake with a lot of wildlife and good fishing. This is the perfect lake for anyone who wants to getaway and enjoy the outdoors.

The house is a 5 Bedroom 4 Bathroom house with 4000sq ft that has 460' of Private Frontage on 10 Acres. The house has fantastic views of the lake and has plenty of outdoor space. The house is a Hand Hewn log home that includes many great features and lots of living space. Overall it has 5 bedrooms plus a additional sleeping area with 8 beds for 12 guests(3 Kings, 1 Queen and 4 Twin Beds). The upper floor has 2 bedrooms, 1 additional sleeping area with a living room and bathroom. The main floor has a master bedroom, 2 bathrooms, 3 season cedar screened in porch, kitchen, living room/dinner room with wood burning fireplace. The basement has recently been remodeled and has 2 Bedrooms, 1 bath with a living room and game room to enjoy. The game room has a foosball table, buck hunter pro, fast and furious sit down game, table and additional refrigerator. The house does include Wi-Fi, 2 Smart Tv's(YouTube TV included) and 1 DVD player on the main level. The kitchen in the house is good size and does include most standard items. A propane grill and charcoal grill is also included.

A few things on the property.
-This house has Mini Split AC Systems on the Main Level and Upstairs. There is no A/C in the basement although the basement is mainly underground so it does stay cool year round.
-We also have great neighbors and would like to keep it that way so please no parties and please be respectful of everyone. If you are planning on coming with a large group to be up late partying and loud go elsewhere. If you are coming to enjoy the area and be respectful of all, this is the place for you. You will not be disappointed with the scenery and peacefulness and we want to keep it that way as well for everyone on the lake.
-No pets allowed and also no hunting on the property.
-No Fireworks allowed(this is a county ordinance)
-From feedback on guest we have updated the rooms to have nightstands with lamps in the room, we have also added light blocking curtains to the upstairs bedrooms. All of the bedrooms have curtains or blinds in them. Pictures have been updated to reflect blinds, curtains and new furniture.

Our stay here was the best. House was super clean and very spacious for each family. Beds were comfy. Game room a huge hit for the kiddos and adults!! Amazing kitchen, patio. Everything you need! Our family enjoyed the pontoon. Fires at night. Each family had their own space in the house on each floor. The lake view was cozy and stunning sunsets. Excellent hosts! Thank you so much!!!

Great Time!!

Our multigenerational family enjoyed our time at the property! There was plenty of space for 3 families to spread out! The host was very responsive when contacted! Everyone enjoyed their time fishing,boating and the arcade games.

Great communication with manager. Plenty of room for the adults and kids. Free use of the pontoon was a bonus. My wife said that is was the cleanest VRBO we have rented! We will come back!

Wonderful home

The home was very clean, comfortable, and had plenty of room (bonus game room). Owners were very prompt at responding to our questions. The pontoon was a great asset during the week. The location and setting were ideal for a week getaway.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay at LoveJoy Lake. We are a multigenerational family and this home was perfect for one and all. The communication was excellent, the owners are very responsive and happy to help should anything arise. The home was spotless and was supplied with everything one could possibly need. There was plenty to do at the property and lots of room to spread out. It is such a quiet and relaxing space. Nature Lovers Paradise is a great place to book and truly get away from it all.

We had an amazing time! Everything about the place was great! We loved that the pantoon came with the cabin, and enjoyed our time on the lake! The host are great and really responsive.

winter get-away

Jon, the property owner was very good about communicating and offering information. He was also wonderfully accommodating about letting us enter early (which we didn't end up doing) and leaving after 10am. The house is very big with spacious rooms and the kitchen well equipped for cooking. However, considering it is billed as having room for a large number of people the living area didn't have enough seating for the eight of us, nor did the dining room table. We really like eating all together and playing games around the table. We ended up crowding around the table with two people having to sit on bar stools, and carrying a couch into the living room from the porch temporarily. Thankfully we had two strong men!Also after dark the lighting in the dining room is very dim, and several of the bedrooms as well. Really could use window coverings on the lake side as the sun was very bright, those seating facing the sun had to wear sunglasses to play games/visit. Overall though, it was clean and comfortable.

Hidden little gem.

Great location - 9 mi from Hayward. Hidden away with a private little lake full of fish! Beautiful place - well stocked with everything from baggies to Toilet Paper to firewood. So clean and cozy. Jon is excellent to work with. Quick replies to my emails. He went above & beyond when we needed a fishing net. All 8 of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely paradise in every way

The minute we started up the driveway through the woods we had a good feeling we had made the right choice where to spend our vacation. Once we saw the secluded lakeside cabin, we knew we had. Cabin is a bit of a misnomer it's really more a home, but better. Spotless, cozy and comfortably furnished and full of all the wonderful little touches and things began to surface that set it apart from other rental properties. Like a very well-equipped kitchen with top-end appliances, cookware, utensils, plates, silverware and drinkware---all above and beyond what we've found in other places we've stayed. The living room and bedrooms are very comfortable. The master bath is huge! And if it's being used, there's more to choose from. This place is big! But comfortably so. Many beautiful views of Lovejoy Lake.The lake is small, but delightfully so. And very quiet. Having access to an awesome pontoon helped to make for enjoyable sunset cruises and successful fishing excursions. There's a firepit circled by comfy Adirondack chairs that made for relaxing evenings. Plenty of cut and split wood is stacked nearby. And, unlike most places, there's a gas grill which we really liked. There's also a conventional grill too. It's very quiet, peaceful and private here. There's a neighboring cabin nearby, but hidden by trees. The owners are very, very responsive and helpful. We couldn't have asked for better hosts. They call this place Nature Lovers Paradise. And that it is in every way.

Great Stay at Lovejoy Lake

The host was very easy to work with, and was very accommodating. The property is in an excellent location on a beautiful, small lake. The house, and surrounding grounds were kept very clean. The house itself was very well appointed and many x-rays were included that you don’t normally find. Plenty of paper, products, soap, and laundry detergent. We would stay here again!

Fulfilling Stay

The accommodations checked all of our boxes for our group of adults and young children. The spacious but cozy interior was great for separate sleeping quarters. The home is in a really great spot. It gave a feeling of privacy being nestled in the woods yet still there was plenty of activity: between the games and game-room, nature, and other local attractions. The pontoon was an outstanding feature of this rental. The arrival guide was helpful and the communication was excellent. We had a tremendous experience and will seek this one out again!

Great place on a quiet lake

Our 4 generation family of 10 found this to be a great property. There was plenty of space for us to be together but also to spread out for some quiet times. The large kitchen with lots of counter space was great for meal prep. The extra refrigerator in the game room was a plus. We enjoyed the quiet, clear lake, the pontoon and the paddleboat. The kids enjoyed catching small fish right off the dock. The game room was a fun added bonus space. Jon and Andrea were very responsive and seemed truly interested that we enjoy our time on their property. We would highly recommend this property and consider booking again in the future! All we would suggest to other guests is to bring reading lights for bedtime if you like soft lighting and bring your own fire roasting sticks & kids' life jackets.

Multigenerational Thumbs-up

Our family of 11 kids and adults were very pleased with this property. Andrea checked in with a few days before our arrival so that I could ask any questions and she could explain a few things about the house and pontoon. Both Jon & Andrea were readily available when I needed to contact them. The house seemed even larger than the photos showed and there is now more furniture in the side porch for eating, doing puzzles, etc. We had all the kitchen equipment needed & there was campfire wood available as well as additional camp chairs. The kids, 9-14 years, gave the paddle boat plenty of use, particularly to go out fishing. The backyard is fabulous for lawn games, too. And a bonus was the pinball machine; I even gave it plenty of use. This is a beautiful property, house and lake. If you’re looking for a quiet lake without zoomies, like to fish or just relax on or near water, this will check the boxes.

Nice location on a small and quiet lake. Helpful having the pontoon for swimming since no beach. However no ladder on the pontoon so hard to get back in. House was spartan but included most things needed. Towel racks or hooks are needed in the bathrooms and side tables with lamps would be nice.

I grew up in a small vacation town in Northern Minnesota that had a lot of lakes and water. We had a family cabin growing up where I fell in love with boating as well as all water activities. After moving to the Twin Cities after high school I found Hayward a few years later which eventually led my wife and I to move up permanently. What lead me to being a host is that bringing people together at a lake place creates memories for a lifetime. Being a host is fun and hearing the joy that it brings families and friends is awesome. We try our best to make the guest experience pleasant and as easy and convenient as possible. We hope you guys enjoy the area and our property as much as we do.

Very unique with the amount of land, waterfront and the quietness. It is very peaceful and gives you a sense of getting away from everything. You are still close to town and also have resorts, bars and restaurants around but also have the feeling of being away from it all. One golf course is located across the lake and another within 7 minutes. The fishing is very good typically as no one besides property owners can access the lake allowing for it to not get over fished. Also very close to Round Lake and the Chippewa Flowage.

Would make a perfect place for multi generation family or family getaways. The three levels with the size and bedrooms allows for a good amount of room for people. The clear water with sand frontage and pontoon make for a great swimming and fishing location.
