Modern, Clean Property in Perfect Relaxing Location

This property was thankfully exactly as portrayed in the listing. We stayed 3 nights. It's in a super quiet, low-key neighborhood location. At night the surroundings get nearly as dark and quiet as you'd expect on a camping trip out in nature (you can see lots of stars!), and having the high-end comforts of this property right in the middle of that was just the right vibe for us. We'd have fun at the lake or go hiking, then retire to the property to cook a meal, take a comfy nap, or just veg watching TV. Cleanliness is important to us, too, so we appreciated that it felt clean and new, not like a million other folks have come and gone. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great stay!

We had a great stay at the Antler house! It was less than 10 minute walk to the beach. The private beach and park access were great for us and our one year old. The house was the perfect size for us and tastefully updated and decorated.

Awesome house!!

We are Tahoe regulars and this house was the best place we've ever stayed. The location was perfect and the street was quiet with kind neighbors. The house was clean, modern, and stylish. Everything we could need was provided. Although small and cozy, it comfortably fit my small family with a large driveway and plenty of outdoor lounging area in the front/back yards. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!

October stay

The Antler house was the perfect spot for my wife and I. The house was clean and furnished with everything we needed. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable. I must say, the pictures on the website are spot on, which is something I rely on when booking a place to stay. The team at Tahoe Getaways was top notch, very easy to contact and attentive to our needs as we had some little visitors in the attic one night. TG had someone out the next day to take care of the problem. We will definitely be back...

Wonderful place

The Antler House is a wonderful place to stay. + Sparkling clean + Wonderful furniture and high quality appliances + Lots of storage + A bed that makes you feel like sleeping in the clouds + Amazing location in walking distance to the lake, store and restaurants, boat/paddle/canoe rental + Short drive to Tahoe City + Great outdoor area, really sweet neighborhood They should advertise the fact more that you get access to a private beach by the lake with great picnic and sport areas. I wish they had a bit more basic equipment, like spices for cooking, soap/shampoo and more toilet paper/tissues. What was missing were chair cushions for the outdoor furniture and a reclining deck chair or something similar, we would have loved to spend more relaxing time on the deck. I also think the backyard has more potential to do something with it, but not an issue. I can highly recommend the West Shore Market for breakfast or lunch and the Sunnyside Restaurant, both walking distance,as well as the paddle boat rental just by the lake. Wonderful 5 days we spent in the Antler house!

Renovated, modern cabin perfect for 2-4 people!

We had an amazing experience at this property! Definitely hoping to come back to the same spot for our next trip to Tahoe City. The check-in process was very easy - we were sent a code for opening the lockbox for the key. The property is entirely renovated with brand new, high end appliances. The owners put thought into small details like cold mugs in the freezer. It has a washer and dryer and the owners have organized the laundry closet with plenty of extra sheets and towels. The decor is very unique and tasteful. It has a very luxurious feel inside - especially with the heated bathroom floor. The beds were comfortable and the entire place was so clean. My fiancé and I went with another married couple and we were so comfortable. Because there is one bathroom, you likely can’t have more than 4 guests. Another great surprise was private access to a beach nearby that had amazing views for a picnic or a day in the sun. It is also a 5 minute drive to the downtown of Tahoe City. Overall we are so happy we stayed here and highly recommend it!

Great times

Just spent a week at the Antler House. The location is just a couple minutes south of Tahoe City. A three Block walk to the water where you have access to a private beach. This private beach was beautiful and had 2 docks, a large stretch of water front, great picnic location, and beautiful landscape. This was a great spot to have a quiet little slice of the lake and enjoy the views. The house was nicely appointed. The two bedrooms offered nice storage and were comfortable. The kitchen was open and nice. The table between the kitchen allowed for games and eating while still in the main living area. Great front and rear decks to enjoy the outside. The furniture and décor was very nice. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our family of 4. We enjoyed Bike riding, fishing, the Treetop Adventure Park, and South Lake Tahoe from here. It seemed like a good spot to access South Tahoe, Truckee, and we even made a run to Reno which took about 50 minutes. We really enjoyed this house and this location. Would go back again for sure.

The cabin is beautifully remodeled and furnished. The beds are very comfortable and the house has the right supplies. The house is in the perfect location...very close to the lake and the HOA beach area is wonderful. The neighborhood was very quiet at night but it's in a pretty dense area with many surrounding neighbors. The house is the perfect size for a couple or a family with small children but may be a little tight for more than 4 people...primarily because it only has one bathroom.

Cozy getaway

Great, little, extremely well appointed home outside of Tahoe City. Perfect for a small family or 2 couples. The only drawback for 2 couples is the one bathroom, but honestly it's such a nice cozy home it's worth it. Also Tahoe Getaways is a wonderful management company; we needed them for some TV issues and they responded and sent a technician to help.

Cozy and cute

The Antler House was perfect for a couple! We loved the decor, comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen and sunny front deck! The neighborhood, while dense, was exceptionally quiet. This was the perfect cozy choice for our first Tahoe vacation as empty nesters.

Great stay over a snowy weekend

Property was clean and well furnished. Location was great with a very pleasant walk to the West Shore Market, Spoon Cafe, Firesign Cafe and the HOA beach. With our children being so young, we spent a lot of time at and around the house and it was really the perfect place to relax and unwind. DL Bliss State Park is not too far and was our favorite spot outside the HOA beach.

Memorial Day Weekend

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We decided to do a last minute trip up to Tahoe with our 2 and 4 year for our anniversary/holiday weekend. Tahoe Getaways was really fast and very helpful in getting a house quickly. We spent alot of time at the Truckee pump track, down by the latke, in town and relax around the house. This was a great find. I would recommend anyone with kids to do a quick 'kid-proof' sweep before entering. Alot of cute decorative items and floor lamps that they will get in. My only suggestion to owners would be to have a Kruger Coffee machine rather then the large machine - too large for such a small house. Also the house does not have any kid dish ware or tableware, which would be nice to have. But over all really great spot.

Good location, in walking distance of some cafe's and restaurants, and within 20 minutes of the ski resorts. Big enough for a multi-week stay for a couple. Property management was quick to respond to questions. Forced air heating a little noisy in the second bedroom, better after some adjustments by property management. We would definitely stay again.
