The Space:

The ground floor is open-plan and sociable, with slate flooring throughout and a warm, inviting feel. The sitting area centres around a wood-burning stove, perfect for cosy evenings after long walks, alongside comfortable leather seating and a TV.



The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for relaxed self-catering, including modern appliances, ample worktop space and a breakfast bar for casual dining, morning coffee or planning the day’s adventures.



Bedrooms & bathroom



Upstairs you’ll find two thoughtfully presented bedrooms:

A king-size bedroom with an ornamental fireplace and peaceful fell views

A bunk bedroom with full-size mattresses, ideal for children or additional guests



The modern shower room features a walk-in shower, basin and WC, finished in a clean, contemporary style.



Dog-friendly (up to two well-behaved dogs welcome)



Guest Access:

Guest's are able to use the whole property throughout their stay

The cottage sits in a quiet residential area, just a short walk downhill to Ambleside’s shops, cafés and restaurants. Walks and fell routes are easily accessible nearby, making this an excellent base for exploring the wider Lake District without needing to drive every day.



Whether you’re returning muddy boots after a fell walk or curling up by the fire with a glass of wine, Gingersnap Cottage is a relaxed, welcoming place to slow down and enjoy your time in the Lakes.



Getting Around:

Public Transport is available from Kelsick Road, Ambleside



Gingersnap Cottage does not have dedicated parking but you can usually find a space on Blue Hill Road, directly outside the property.
