Great ocean view and convenient location

Condo has great view of the ocean, indoor pool, outdoor pool and hot tub. Facility was very nice and clean.

Great location

Location was great and close to many places you could walk to to eat. Beaches beautiful and clean. Condo needs updating, was cleaned but just didn’t feel clean.

Will not rent this condo again

Outdated, furniture had stains, bathrooms were dirty and the lights in the bathrooms stopped working 2nd day we were there. Would not recommend staying here.

The view was wonderful. But the room itself could use some upgrades. Probably would not stay here again unless room is updated. Furniture needs updating. No amenities in kitchen that you could use. Rusty knives and silverware. Bed is lumpy. Couch is old.

Can’t complain!

If you don’t care about the decor and updates then this is perfect! It’s right on the beach and a great location. It was clean and just what we needed, since we spent most of the time at the beach anyways. Plus it has an indoor pool which is great because you can’t predict the weather at the beach!

Great Facility BUT!!!!

We loved the facility! The pools and hot tub are clean, EASY access to the beach. The unit has new paint, good fixtures. Loved the carts to move suitcases and groceries to your room. The kitchen is very nice. But the furniture is outdated and the BED and sofa bed are Terrible. And the light from the back balcony makes you feel like it's daytime, all of the time. We did not sleep well for 5 nights. Ruined an otherwise great vacation. The area is awesome because it is not too overcrowded and there are many options for dining as well as great grocery stores close by.The beach access is unparalleled, but unfortunately the sleeping situation is again, TERRIBLE!

Condo furniture needs updating, couch looked dingy . The bed comforter needs to be replaced. The toilet paper holder fell apart. The door lock looked like needs to be reinforced . Overall seemed to be clean .

Lacking

Best thing about the place was the bed... Two, count them 2 rolls of TP... Balcony was great, balcony chairs were terrible and broke, used them carefully... Outlet or power strip in the living room somewhere close to the sofa would be handy. A rug here and there would be great also. Location was good, building was good, beach was great... But the unit needed some catching up to current standards (okay, 1985 standards would look new this unit) We will stay at the location again, just not this unit as it has been neglected.

Perdido Sun Rental

Building is older & needs some maintenance. One of the only 2 elevators was broken the entire time. With only 1 working elevator, wait times were long & many times to crowded so you have to wait even longer. The code for the doors (front, pool, & beach) did not work most of the time, so you had to wait for someone to come let you in.

Outdated, felt dirty

This unit was the worst I’ve ever stayed in. Furniture, especially the couch was old and dirty. Rug in living room had crumbs from previous guest. Pink mold in shower and lots of black mold on balcony, which has broken chairs taped together with clear packing tape. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. No lock on sliding glass door, no instructions on locking front door. Never using this mgmt company again. Also, menu for Jellyfish is old and outdated, too. Prices are higher now.

Clean, good view, bright. Only negative was the drawers in the dresser were unusable since when partially pulled out they would fall out of the dresser.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I’ve been staying at Perdido Sun since 1988- room was very outdated and is in need of updating. Very disappointed in accommodations- missing shower curtain, worn out mattresses- but the property itself was great as always!

Probably won’t stay here again

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The beach was great. Too many setups and fight for pole position, as usual, but otherwise easy access and not completely overcrowded like the place to the east. Shower and foot wash available where you exit/enter the deck area which was essential. The building was fine. Easy move in move out. Carts were available. Parking was tight during our particular stay. Location is fine for proximity to grocery stores and places to eat.The unit itself was pretty rough as compared to cost and expectations. Bare bones on amenities, cleanliness, and comfort. Old and worn furniture. A couple deck chairs were broken. Pull out couch was better if not pulled out. Other chairs were decaying. No washer/dryer in the unit, which we took for granted, but there is a laundry room off the office in the lobby. The deal breaker and worst of all, the unit didn’t seem like it was cleaned between guests, or maybe ever.... Bed sheets and blankets were dirty. The whole place, but especially the bathrooms need a good scrubbing. Shower liner and tub were mildew, walls were dingy and dirty, sand was all over.So, in general the place needs a lot of cleaning and needs to be spruced up for some basic comforts.

Our stay

Our stay was great! Great location, close to whatever we needed. Condo was exactly as we expected. Only problem/issue we had was the rental umbrellas on the beach. We didn’t rent one, but they placed them on the edge of the water/tide line and they were all so close that we couldn’t enjoy the ocean view from the second row back. The umbrellas were actually touching sides.
