Casa Paravia - History meets contemporary comfort
Summary:
A refined apartment for up to 7 guests in the heart of Turin, directly in Piazza Statuto, inside a historic palace dating back to 1864.
- Meticulously restored and furnished with exceptional attention to detail, offering a rare combination of comfort and elegance
- Two bedrooms, a study with a high-quality sofa bed, and a spacious living room featuring a second sofa bed — both equipped with particularly comfortable mattresses that ensure a genuinely restful night's sleep for every guest — two bathrooms, and a private balcony overlooking the inner courtyard
- Prime location in one of Europe's most beautiful historic centers
The Space:
Welcome to a haven of elegance and relaxation nestled in the prestigious Palazzo Paravia, a historic building dating back to 1864, originally conceived to house the ministries of the Kingdom of Italy. Located in the heart of one of Europe's most beautiful and underrated cities, this apartment places you steps away from Turin's finest architecture, museums, and culinary scene.
The apartment has been thoughtfully designed to accommodate up to 7 guests in exceptional comfort. The bedrooms are spacious and refined, curated with the same attention to detail that defines every corner of this property. For larger groups or those who value privacy, the layout offers remarkable flexibility: a dedicated study features a comfortable sofa bed, while the living room — where a generous sofa bed is also available — can be closed off with doors to create entirely private and tranquil spaces within the apartment.
The beating heart of the home is the magnificent living room: an expansive, light-filled space conceived for socializing and unwinding. A state-of-the-art cinema TV system anchors the room, paired with refined seating that makes it the ideal setting for a quiet evening in after a day spent exploring the city.
The apartment features a private internal balcony, shielded from city noise and designed for genuine intimacy.
The two spacious bathrooms feature luxury finishes, generous walk-in showers, fluffy towels, and complimentary toiletries — ensuring that 7 guests share a home with zero compromise on comfort.
The fully equipped kitchen rounds out the offering with everything needed to cook and gather properly: espresso machine, dishwasher, microwave, and oven. Because some evenings, the best table in Turin is the one at home.
To protect this historic property, smoking is strictly prohibited in the apartment, on the balcony or in the court because smoke and its residues may damage valuable frescoes and plasterwork.
The Neighborhood:
Staying at Palazzo Paravia, located at number 18 Piazza Statuto, means immersing yourself in one of the city's areas richest in charm, history, and vibrant energy. You are on the western edge of the historic center, in a perfect position to experience the proverbial Savoy elegance without giving up the convenience of modern services. Piazza Statuto, with its immense arcades and majestic neoclassical palaces, is a focal hub that embodies the dual soul of Turin: institutional by day and dense with mystery by night (historically being the epicenter of the famous legends tied to "Magic Turin").
Just a few steps from the front door begins Via Garibaldi, the spectacular pedestrian shopping street full of stores, artisanal gelato shops, and historic cafes. Walking along it brings you to the city's living room: Piazza Castello, dominated by the Royal Palace. Along the way, you just need to turn the corner to get lost in the famous "Quadrilatero Romano," the trendiest district for Turin's nightlife. It is dotted with a maze of ancient alleyways filled with traditional Piedmontese restaurants (the classic "piole"), fine wine bars, fusion bistros, and chic cocktail bars.
Culture is literally at your fingertips. With a short walk or a few tram stops, you can reach the renowned Egyptian Museum (the second largest in the world), the Mole Antonelliana housing the Cinema Museum, and the MAO. The area around the house abounds with daily conveniences: late-night supermarkets, artisan bakeries, pharmacies, and neighborhood boutiques. It is a highly safe, lively, and prestigious neighborhood, capable of offering a total immersion into authentic everyday Turin life, while still guaranteeing peaceful and restful nights for all its guests.
Getting Around:
The location at Piazza Statuto 18 makes this residence incredibly strategic and one of the best-connected spots in the entire city of Turin. Just a short 5-minute walk away is the Torino Porta Susa Railway Station, the main hub for High-Speed trains (Frecciarossa and Italo) that will quickly connect you to Milan, Rome, and other major Italian destinations, as well as Paris via TGV.
From Porta Susa, you can easily catch direct shuttle buses and trains to Torino-Caselle Airport, making your arrival and departure comfortable and completely stress-free. If you prefer using the subway, the "XVIII Dicembre" station (Metro Line 1) is literally just a few steps from Palazzo Paravia, offering a rapid connection to the Lingotto district, Porta Nuova Station, and the main exhibition centers.
Piazza Statuto is also extensively served by Turin's dense surface public transport network (including tram lines 13, 56, and 72), which are perfect for reaching every corner of the city. However, the true strength of this location is its walkability. Being at the very beginning of the extensive pedestrian zone of Via Garibaldi (one of the longest in Europe), you can enjoy magnificent, safe strolls that will lead you directly to Piazza Castello, the Savoy cultural heart of the city, in just a 15-minute walk among charming boutiques and historic cafes.
For those traveling by car, there are numerous paid underground parking garages in the immediate vicinity, as well as street parking (blue lines). However, a car is entirely unnecessary here. Turin is a pioneer in micro-mobility: right outside the building, you will easily find car-sharing parking spots, along with electric scooters and rental bicycles to freely explore the countless safe and flat bike paths that border the city center.
Other Things to Note:
Early or late check-in, late check-out, and extra sets of linen or towels may incur a small additional fee payable upon arrival. Pets are not allowed. In compliance with Italian law, all guests must complete digital registration with a valid ID before check-in. The apartment and building are non-smoking, and we kindly ask guests to respect the quiet residential setting. Recycling guidelines for the city of Milan will be provided upon arrival. For any special requests or assistance during your stay, feel free to contact us — we’re here to help make your experience as pleasant as possible.
