Cumberland Queen Cottage

Our family owns the ferry service to Cumberland Island. The cottage pays tribute to the Ferrys that have taken passengers to the Island for the past 30 years. The Cumberland Queen was the first ferry. The current ferrys are The Cumberland Princess, The Cumberland Lady and the Cumberland Queen II. We have two original wheel house windows from the Cumberland Queen that were salvaged after it sank during hurricane Irma in 2017. You will have a two block walk to board the Cumberland Queen II on your visit to beautiful Cumberland Island. You will have views of the St. Marys River from your front porch and bedroom 2. The back patio overlooks the History Walking Park. Many restaurants and shops are within walking distance from the cottage.

This townhome has recently been renovated with new appliances and furniture. Each bedroom has a full bath and smart TV. There is a half bath downstairs. Fully stocked kitchen with new appliances and washer and dryer. Dining room accommodates 4-6, also dining on the patio. Large smart TV in living room, free high speed internet. Seating on front porch with river views.

Whether you are visiting to go to Cumberland Island or to enjoy our historic downtown, we welcome you to St. Marys, GA and The Cumberland Queen Cottage.

Well appointed house, clean with many small touch extras. Walking distance to downtown restraunts and ferry dock. Don’t miss the nature preserve dock as the sunset was amazing.

Close enough to historic downtown but quiet enough just to relax. Very clean, super comfy bed and living room furniture. We plan to return and definitely stay here again. Amy was easy to work with and had a personalized thank you note waiting for us when we arrived. It was perfect for our short Labor Day weekend.

What a wonderful and cute cottage in all ways! Right by the river, close to the historic downtown, and the ferry to Cumberland Island. So many thoughtful details, comfortable beds and linens. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and can’t wait to return!

We had an absolutely amazing stay. The house is beautiful. The location is perfect. You can easily walk to board the Cumberland Island Ferry. Many restaurants were in walking distance, (less than 1/2 mile). The area is nice, quiet, and relaxing. My husband and I were celebrating our 25th anniversary. We stay super busy and on the go. But we took the opportunity to slow down and relax. Everything was perfect. I can’t say enough good things.

The beautifully decorated cottage was conveniently located and the views were spectacular. The kitchen was well stocked for eating in, and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast on the front porch and dinner on the back deck. The dock across the street and the walkability to St. Mary’s was a plus.

Great communication w property owner! The cottage has a very well stocked kitchen. It is extremely convenient to the Cumberland Ferry and is directly across from the river/marsh. Very very comfortable cottage.

Cottage is beautifully decorated, comfortable living areas, fully equipped kitchen, with areas for outside sitting. Within walking distance to boardwalk and downtown. We captured amazing sunrises and sunsets.
