A secluded cabin and art oasis nestled on 35 acres in the Texas Hill Country .

Sacred Passages is a gated vacation rental and an event venue nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, on 35 secluded acres. The home has 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. The property is full of mosaics, stone work and original artwork. The unfenced private pool and palapas are exclusively for you. The open air stone chapel seats 80-100 guests. There is a jacuzzi hot tub, outdoor shower and outdoor tub. The fire pit is a sweet place to gather and sing, tell stories and maybe make a smore. Star gazing and bird watching (we have painted buntings, indigo buntings, roadrunners and many more) are ideal here. The Koi pond patio with large mosaics is another unique place. There are veins of Honey Calcite Crystals throughout the property. The extra guest fee is $30 per guest per day. The pet fee is $25 per day per pet.

Such a beautiful spread of land with a very spacious cabin. The host Rebecca responded quickly to any questions and the pool area and hot tub where we spent most our time was great. The Chapel, coy fish pond and all the art around the property made for fun exploration.

Amazing property convenient to Texas Hill Country attractions in Wimberley, San Marcos, and New Braunfels. But this property is an attraction unto itself…more of a retreat than a typical house rental. From the koi pond to the chapel, to the breezy front porch, to the pool complex, you might decide to skip some outings and simply relax in place. Spacious inside and out. Remote yet proximate. Justified in all ways for its prior positive reviews.

There was bird seed in two of the beds and the coffee pot didn’t work

I’m so sorry you discovered birdseed in the bed. I wish you had let me know while you were here; I would’ve happily changed the bedding immediately. Life in the Texas Hill-Country means every now and then a curious little Country mouse slips indoors, but finding birdseed in the bed is not the experience I want for you. Thank you for letting me know so I could address it. There was a new extra coffee pot in the washroom. Had I known I would have told you about it. My sincere apologies.

Beautiful place! House was full of history. It wasn't even necessary for us to leave the property. There was so much to see; between the chapel & the history in the house. Rebecca was very kind, the home was very clean. Very peaceful and serene.

Family and I wanted to get out of the city but didn't feel like driving more than an hour. This was exactly the escape we needed. Beautiful, serene, and very private property on 35 acres. Kids had a blast in the pool, and simply enjoying nature. We never turned the TV on. Cabin was clean with plenty of space. Everyone seemed to need a break from the hustle and bustle and we can't wait to be back.

Eclectic and artistic place! The property is lovely and unique and the grounds are amazing. There are some quirks, but nothing you wouldn’t expect and we had a nice friends reunion weekend. Rebecca was always prompt to answer any questions or concerns.

Every year, a group of us get together to catch up and have fun. We have known each other since elementary/middle school age. We chose this fantastic location due its scenic views and privacy. Our second time to stay at Sacred Passages. We love sitting on the porch watching the humming birds at the feeders. Property is secluded and only a short drive to Wimberly. Owner is very responsive and friendly. House is well equipped and super clean. Come once and you will come again.

Nice home in hill country

We enjoyed our stay at the home for Memorial Day weekend. Pool was nice but hot tub is not working. Was really hot so that wasn’t a big deal. You are out in nature so be sure to bring bug repellent. Host was kind and quick to respond.

I’ve stayed in many vacation rentals over the years, and my experiences have been hit or miss. Sacred Passages is definitely a “hit”. It’s easy to get to, but feels very secluded. The check-in/out process is super simple and didn’t include a host of chores for us to do. The pool area is a great mix of shade and sun. The hot tub actually got HOT (this may be a first for me at a rental - lukewarm seems to be the norm if the hot tub works at all). The kitchen has everything you need, including extra trash bags, dish soap, etc. The property has lots to explore, and the host is responsive and welcoming without being intrusive. I’ve stayed here twice already (once with family, and once with friends) and I’m certain I’ll come back again.

Ladies’ Weekend

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend. We spent most of the days in the pool, then cooked dinner together in the well-equipped kitchen and ate our meals at the large dining table. My only suggestion for improvement would be to upgrade the upstairs twin beds. They are more suitable for children than 50 year old women. It was a wonderful place to get together for a group of old friends, and we all said we would love to return.

Spring break trip

We had a great time visiting our daughter and grand daughter during their spring break. This property is rustic and unique. Rebecca our host was wonderful and very responsive when we had questions. The weather was perfect if a little dry. We even got in a little swimming. My daughter had to work each day and we had great Wi-Fi Connectivity. Plenty to do in Wimberley and San Marcos, both of which are not more than 10 minutes from the property. The 35 acres the house sits on is rugged but fun to explore (wear sturdy shoes and long pants, and watch those cacti!). We even were able to find some of the honey calcite to take home for souvenirs. Thank you Rebecca for hosting us!

Amazing Property!!

Amazing property!! You could spend an entire day just exploring the inside! Rebecca has the kitchen stocked with the basics-salt, pepper, spices. The pool was incredible! There is a mini fridge in the cabana where we stored water and fruit. The space behind the pool was perfect for throwing ball with our kids. It is a short, beautiful walk to the chapel. Make sure to take a camera! The coy pond outside the master was perfect for morning coffee. Swinging out front with our kids while throwing ball with our dogs was so wonderful! Cat Stevens is great! I cannot say enough good things about this property!

Peaceful vibes at Secret Passages

From the moment we drove onto the property, we felt comfortable and excited. This property and home offers so much to see. Every square foot of the cabin has a one-of-a-kind piece of art. Secret Passages is a feast for every sense. The mosaic tile works are beautiful. The Texas decor is fun and authentic. Outside, the property offers a pool with a Caribbean theme that puts you in the mood to party or chill. The grounds are beautiful. On the practical side, the cabin was so clean! The kitchen is very well equipped with cookware, glassware, and kitchen towels! The beds are comfortable and the cabin AC works very well. Internet has excellent reception. And, most importantly, Rebecca, is an excellent Host. She responded to every question within an hour or less. You will not regret a stay a Secret Passages and I hope to return.

A hidden gem

This was a fantastic place to spend time as a family and to recharge our energies. We had three generations spend a four day weekend here, with two dogs. The property was well-maintained, the pool was lovely (if chilly at the end of September), and the house was warm and welcoming. It was easy to cook in the kitchen or bring home food from Wimberly nearby (maybe a 10 minute car trip to get to, with a nice supermarket and local eateries). It was great to have space to take walks and ramble around, to sit near the koi pond, or enjoy the pool. It would be a great location for a meditation retreat, a cousins party, or a small wedding. The owner was fantastic to communicate with, with no hidden requirements, and was more than accommodating. We look forward to returning!

Our group of 5 had a wonderful time at this unique hide-away. We spent most of our time in the large pool and cooking in the well-stocked kitchen. In the 107 degrees heat, the air conditioner went out, and the host had someone there quickly. Such a relaxing, peaceful spot..interesting things to see around every corner and in every niche.
