This is our second trip to Biscuits and it provided plenty of room for the 10 of us. One of the upper bedrooms seemed to be several degrees warmer than the thermostat. Not sure if this is an issue for repair.

This recent visit presented some minor maintenance issues and everyone from HC was so easy to work with and so accommodating regarding our needs and conveniences. Biscuits is a great house in a lovely spot close to the courts and playground with a short walk or bike ride to the beach and town center. Already planning our trip next year!!

That was particularly important this year because of the rain since the pool has a roof. Homeowners Collection is very nice to work with. The large screened porch is important because the living room is not really large enough for everyone to be in. But screened porch living is what it is all about!

The accommodations were very comfortable and suited all of our needs for three families including two young grandchildren! We felt the house was very clean upon our arrival which is extremely important to our family. The location was very convenient for beach, playground, town center and Ruskin Square. Even the Westside pool was only a short walk easy for the grandchildren. We enjoyed many meals in the town center, the airstreams make it convenient for everyone to find food they liked (even many dairy-free and gluten free options!)

Perfect Nest for our Dozen

We had a blast Loved the space, location, ambiance. It was clean and ready for us to sprawl as a family. The rooms are all tight, but the family spaces range from huge screened patios to beautiful dining table to multi seat living room.

Great Cottage for Large Family

The home has been renovated recently and the interior is beautiful with a "beachy" decor and beach-themed artwork. The layout is perfect for a large family or extended family. The rooms are spaced out evenly and each bedroom has it's own bath and feels private, like you have your own retreat. I also liked that there were multiple entrances into the home (front porch, back porch and even 2 outdoor shower entrances). The home feels much bigger than the listed sq.ft. The location is good - pretty central and very close to the playground and one of the pools. It's a little farther in the back, so you do have to walk a little more to the town square, but it's all still very close. We had a couple small issues, like the coffee pot not working, a stain on a quilt, etc - and HOCO fixed the problem right away. I loved that they were available via text all day long if we had questions and they were very helpful. Highly recommend booking through them. Loved the cute Seaside tote and nice amenities we got when we arrived.

The dishwasher was malfunctioning, the fireplace was also emitting a strong gas odor. Management had the dishwasher repaired but never addressed the fireplace issue. Our biggest disappointment was that the lovely kitchen had a very small combo microwave/convection oven. We had to use another cottage’s kitchen so that we could have Thanksgiving dinner! Strange that such a beautiful, spacious cottage did t offer a full sized oven...

Spring Break 2022

The house was great. Perfect set up for three families of four. The location was close to beach and town. The beds were comfortable and kitchen was stocked with essentials. I would note the house only has two parking spots, so if there are three cars that is something to consider. I’m sure in the summer it would be easier and feel more comfortable to leave a car on 30A, however with all those teenagers running loose we decided to pay for the closer parking. Nothing to do with the house, but I would also mention that there is an 8pm curfew for teenagers that week. I understand the towns need to keep it under control but it was a little unrealistic and annoying that the kids couldn’t even hang out on the beach until a normal hour. I would definitely stay at this house again, but I would wait for Summer.

The wine glass collection was four mismatched glasses. There were a number of small pots but not many of any size for cooking a real meal. Only one decent pot had a lid. There was not one teaspoon in the house. All were missing. Of the five bathrooms only two had two rolls of toilet paper. The rest had one roll each for a stay of four days. There was no dishwasher detergent. Not even a one or two day supply to get a first or second load underway. The house looked fine on the surface but sorely needed a deep cleaning especially the porches which were coated with dirt and mold along the ledges. The ceiling fans on the porch were covered with grime.Considering the rental fees charged for the houses at Seaside and the high non-refundable fee charged for damaged/missing items I was surprised to find this cottage in this condition. Why aren't they using the non-refundable fee they charge every guest to replace the wine glasses and teaspoons and pot lids that disappear?
