Amazing!

This beach house was amazing! Very clean, over exceeding all expectations. I would recommend this lovely slice of heaven to everyone, and can’t wait to return in the future.i way overpacked as there was already much needed items available, from k-cups to laundry soap! Location is ideal Only a minute from the beach and minutes from great restaurants and an amazing waterpark and aquarium!

Great experience!

I had never booked through VRBO or been the one booking a vacation. It was a breeze! The owners were quick to answer any questions and were very nice. When we arrived, everything was amazing! The property is great, in a lovely neighborhood, close to everything but not too busy. The property had everything we needed or wanted. Great experience!

A nice and relaxing getaway!

We had a wonderful time at Steve and Lisa's home in Kitty Hawk! Sitting on the high deck in an Adirondack chair and taking in the beautiful views is what I'll remember the most about the stay. The house itself was very comfortable. We made some great meals in the spacious and well-equipped kitchen. The outdoor shower was also a nice feature... no trudging through the house covered in beach sand. With very fond memories of this vacation, we'd definitely return to this lovely home.

Amazing property

This was mine and my husbands first actual vacation with our 2 kids. We had stayed at a few other home away properties here and there over weekends but never an actual week long vacation. It was also our 9th anniversary. Not only was the property and view amazing, but the amenities included goes way above and beyond anywhere else we have ever been. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to visit the area. The owners are extremely nice (we also paid several months in advance and they were willing to do a payment plan with us) and they reply very quickly if you need anything.

Spring Fling

My husband and I stayed here to visit with family living on OBX for Easter. The house was nice and clean but we did not have access to the washer and dryer. Also there was a lock on the master bedroom closet which limited storage. The master room bed is hard. The kitchen pantry is locked as well. Most of the kitchen cabinets are filled with dishes etc. The locked cabinet pantry also limited grocery storage. The TV and internet worked well.

Great Home at the beach!

In KH for a family wedding. The place feels more like a home at the beach, rather than simply a space that happens to be near the ocean. Nicely decorated, spacious, comfortable. Would have been ideal for hosting gatherings of, say, 20-30 people. A cool gaming table just inside the front door for times when the weather keeps you inside. Hosts very responsive; we needed an iron and a board, and Steve had a new iron and new ironing board to us within an hour! Versus other rentals that my family were in, I would call this a sleeper bargain! I gave the Location 4/5; a very quiet spot, no complaints there, but being on the west side of Hwy 158 meant a 5 minute drive to the beach, as opposed to walking from the beach house. But the house is so nice, that makes up for it in my opinion. We would stay there again if we ever come back to Kitty Hawk!

Outer Banks Getaway

The house had everything we needed. We knew the main road would be busy & hard to cross. We were ready for that. The beds are uncomfortable. Be prepared to bring foam mattresses for their beds. Other than that. The house is more than perfect. The owners were great communicating in a timely manner before and during our stay! We enjoyed our stay!!! Thanks so much!

Clean and well-equipped

Our stay at this property was great. I appreciated all of the amenities like the washer/dryer, hot tub, fast WiFi, etc. Moving forward, perhaps a mattress topper and/or blackout curtains could be considered for the master bedroom for a little more comfort. Overall, I would definitely recommend this property.

Great stay

Great house for a small family. Lots of room and things to do for both children and adults. House had all basic amenities plus some toys for children (kites, beach toys, stuffed animals) and adults had hot tub and plenty of tables for cards or relaxing outside. Short drive from all coastal beaches, restaurants, grocery, movies, arcades, bowling, wildlife preserves...this was a great rental!

Wonderful Stay!

We absolutely loved this property. It had all the amenities we could need as well as the extra treat of the hot tub. We didn't mind that it was not on the beach because it was a short drive with ample parking. The kitchen was very well-equipped and served us well for the meals that we prepared in. Having a full-size washer/dryer was also convenient. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Wonderful Time!

My wife and I had a wonderful time in the rental. No issues, absolutely NONE!! We truly enjoyed the various deck areas and the yard in general. The inside of the home is immaculate, again, just a wonderful time!

Fantastic Stay!

We have been vacationing in OBX for 15+ years. By far, this was the nicest house we’ve stayed at. It was literally 1 minute from a really nice public beach access. It was minutes from all the shops and restaurants. The house was in great shape. Communication with the property manager was prompt. The hot tub was a nice relaxing touch. The house was extremely clean. I loved all of the porches and Adirondack chairs. The grill worked great when we grilled out. The house was right on the golf course and the kids loved finding golf balls and collecting them! I HIGHLY recommend this as a vacation house to anyone looking for a nice property to stay at while in the Outer Banks. We will definitely stay there again! ❤️

Great location

This house is conveniently located near great beaches. You do need to drive to the beach as there is a very busy road between the house and shore, but it takes five minutes. We found beach parking easily. The house was very clean and was stocked with kitchen basics so that we could make most meals there. The hot tub was a plus and a nice way to end the day. The main bed is very firm, I would plan to bring a foam pad if we get a chance to go again. Very pleasant and clean!

Bachelorette Fiesta

Five sorority sisters plus myself had an absolutely amazing time celebrating one of our upcoming weddings. Everything was extremely clean and conveniently located. They had everything we needed from cooking spices to zip lock bags. Couldn’t have asked for a better get away amongst the crazy of our everyday lives. Would definitely love to stay here again.

Great stay

We had a great stay. I have no complaints. The property was a bit of a hike to the beach, only because there's no cross walk close by and you have to cross a very busy road so we ended up driving most days, but it isn't advertised to be super close so I can't complain.

Beautiful relaxing Vacation home

The Mantis Moon house exceeded our expectations. Such a nice house and perfect for our family vacation. Great location close to all we wanted to do. Close to the beach. The house had everything we needed and more. Cant wait for our next trip.
