We had a lovely stay and truly enjoyed our vacation. The location is perfect, the house was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. There were plenty of bath towels, and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The grill worked great.The hosts were very kind and communicative, and we really appreciated the early check-in. The credit provided was a nice bonus and allowed us to rent bicycles, which made our stay even more enjoyable.Just a couple of small things to keep in mind: there are bath towels but no beach towels (not an issue for us since we stayed in winter), and a few items like the beach chairs, outdoor hose, and living room sofa could benefit from some updates to make the experience even better.Overall, it was a very nice stay and we would definitely recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house, there was room for 8 of us without a problem and 2 bunks too spare. Great location and the beach was not busy at all. The only reason for the 4 stars is because that there is a large bush at the end of the driveway that obscures oncoimg traffic and is actually dangerous trying to pull out due to the fact that the nose of the vechile is in traffic before you can see any oncoimng cars and forget about backing out unless you have a person waving you an "all clear" before backing out.

Beautiful sunrises

Nice quiet location with beautiful views of the beach. Could comfortably sleep 6 adults and 4 children but living areas would be a little tight. Had everything you would need but gas grill has seen better days, clean but so rusty couldn’t turn some of the knobs. Definitely would stay there again

Great location

This house is clean, cheerful and beachy, and very much as pictured and described. We loved the location and the credit that allowed us to rent bikes. Communication with Carolina One was very smooth. We had an enjoyable two-week stay.Two reasons for subtracting a star: first, the gas grill is filthy and rusted and needs to be replaced. The lighting in the grill area is inadequate. One reason we rented a house was to avoid eating every meal out, so the poor quality of the grill was a big deal.The other disappointing thing is that there is no good place to read. The overhead lights don’t have dimmers, and there are not enough reading lamps in the right places. These would be easy things to address.

A birthday get away

What a wonderful stay in January for my notary! It was pet friendly so our girl could be with us! The house was very clean, easy check in, right on the beach, had everything we needed. It was just my husband and our dog, but had plenty of room for family or grounds to come to.

Location, location

Amazing sunrises from the deck! We enjoyed 2 weeks of relaxation, reading and fabulous fish from Crosby! Look forward to another stay in the future.

Perfect getaway for our family of 6

We had an amazing time. The property is exactly as pictured. We had a family of six + two grandparents and it was perfect for us. With two children under 5, it was so easy to take them back up to the house while the rest of our group stayed on the beach. The beach was amazing. Quiet and beautiful. We went into town for dinner a few nights, and spent a day in Charleston. So thankful for the location and affordable price.

Amazing ocean view

We loved being able to see so much of the ocean out the back windows. It was almost as if it was an extension of the living room. The screened porch, the large deck, and the convenience to the beach made this such a wonderful property to enjoy with our friends and family.

Folly Beach Getaway

It was wonderful being right on the beach. We enjoyed having a screen porch to have lunch on. The house was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Some new railings on the screened porch and deck are needed. It was wonderful stay!

Kept up to date

House appears freshly painted, bathrooms are nice, bunk beds are cool. All TVs are smart TVs. Gas stove speeds up the cooking. Screen porch has new furniture and the screens are in good shape. Long driveway is nice for multiple vehicles.

Excellent beach-side bungalow

The house was perfect. clean, modern, and a great outdoor space with direct access to the beach. Who could ask for more? Short ride into Charleston for fine dining in the evening. Wonderful stay - will book again!!

Relaxing stay

We enjoyed a relaxing beach vacay! The beach was beautiful and seemed private! We enjoyed the ability to walk right out of the house to the ocean and not have to fight a crowd or “pick a spot” since this need of the island is less crowded! The kids enjoyed being able to run along the shore and jump the waves! We could not have been any happier!

Best last minute escape!

We do 2 beach trips per year, every year. This year we decided at the last minute to do a 3rd, for spring break with our kids (and kept our group size to just the 4 of us). We didn't book way in advance and at one of the big, have all the bells and whistles, kind of house like we normally do, as we decided we'd keep it simple and small. Let me tell you, this was one of the nicest houses we have stayed at in the nearly 20 years we've been doing this. The thoughtfulness of the smallest of touches did not go unnoticed. The care, cleanliness, comfort and overly stocked with amenities experience that we had was amazing. We truly appreciated the stay and how at home we felt. The beach access was amazing and the surrounding area gave us a ton to do. We must have commented a dozen times among ourselves how we couldn't believe all the things the house was stocked with and had to offer. We definitely overpacked, based on our previous experiences. What a fantastic experience for guests. We loved the house and especially the screened in porch. It all was amazing. We will be back for sure.

Weekend Escape!

This cute 4 bedroom house was perfect for our long weekend escape with family and friends. Nothing beats being steps away from the sand and water. The view was spectacular and our stay was relaxing. I would definitely come back!

Nice House

House was nice. Loved the open kitchen/dining/living room area, and screened porch. Mattress was too soft in rear bedroom and tended to sag in the middle.

Great house. Perfect location.

This house was great. Updated and very clean. Loved walking in to music on. We had a girls weekend trip here and loved the open living space and the screened in porch and large deck. Only negative was a lack of storage in kitchen and bedrooms, but would still recommend and hope to come back some day.

Nice house with beautiful ocean view.

House was clean and nicely decorated. Wonderful screened in patio and deck overlooking the ocean. The house was located a few miles from town so it was nice and quiet and private. Adding dressers and better beds (they were creaky and not very comfortable) to all the bedrooms would be a great upgrade.

Beautiful View

The home was beautifully situated on our favorite, quiet portion of Folly. The management team was wonderful to work with, quick and responsive. The home needed some TLC with door repairs, additions of box springs on all the creaky beds and cleanliness-there were a few ants and dirty towels left. Easy to overlook considering the view.

Fun in the Sun

The house was very clean and cute. The enclosed porch on the back is a must. The outside shower on the walk over is a definite plus. I always love vacationing at Folly and this house was great for what I needed this year. If you're looking for a place you should try this one out. It's away from the hustle and bustle. The night sky is beautiful and the quiet is so very peaceful.

Mildly disappointed?

Ok. So, the house is right on the beach, in a really good location, and was generally clean. We had a good time, so it’s hard to give it too low of a rating. However, we had issues with the house itself. The cupboard wouldn’t open all the way because they would hit the ceiling and one of the doors had actually fallen off it’s hinges. The kitchen may have been the most poorly stocked of any VRBOs we’ve stayed in. A good percentage of the plates were plastic and/or chipped. The curtain in the one bath was torn and not connected to the last 3 rings, and the back door was nearly impossible to close/lock. The washer/dryer was old, rusty, and the dryer would stop well before anything was remotely dry. For as many as it slept, there was very little seating on the outdated and worn living room furniture. It did have plenty of seating around the dinner table, though. The place was actually pretty clean, just in some disrepair. It’s almost like they just stopped investing in it at some point, but it used to be nice. Or maybe they are still working to raise the quality? Not sure. I wouldn’t say don’t go here, but just don’t expect too much. Know that your getting a small house that you can fill with family and friends, and walk directly out on to the beach whenever you want. There is a ton of value in that too.
