Instructional designer. Behavior change researcher. Father of 3. Teacher. Soccer coach. Hoosier. I'm interested in why people do the things they do, what we can do to change those things so that folks live happier and healthier lives, and how technology can help. Plus, well, I love Gulf Shores!
My wife's family have traveled to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Alabama for decades. I became a tag along in the late 1990s, so a Gulf Shores guy by marriage. One thing led to another and we ended up a several large, family-friendly, large group friendly, places along the Gulf. Why I like G&G? The Plantation is a great resort community. You get there, and you never have to leave, and yet its only 15 minutes back to Walmart, King Neptunes, and the rest of the Gulf Shores hubbub. The beach? Same beach as the main West Beach drag. In fact, if you are a runner, especially a beach runner, you can run the sands from G&G to West Beach and back. It's only about a mile or so past the end of West Beach Blvd on the sands. You just can't get there in a car because the nice nature preserve is in the between. Great place to stay, with super amenities both in the unit and around the resort.
Location. Location. Location. Right on the beach, AND in a resort community with its own PGA-qualifier course AND multiple pools and hot tub! Much more... Gulf & Golf is well-accommodated, sleeps up to 32 when you stay in both sides (this listing is for the one side but we own both... contact us if you have smaller, or BIGGER, needs). G&G is a great choice if you want the benefits of a home right on the beach but also the niceties of a resort community--but without the condo/hotel vibe.
