We stayed at Ollie's Point. When initially arriving, we saw patrons in the small pool (picture is deceiving), and the pool was not clean at all. Upon entering the room, it was surprisingly outdated in every fashion. It had a smell to it that was hard to get past. The carpet needs to be torn out - holds a lot of the smell and is from the '70s. The countertop/bar is made of plywood and broken at one end. Only four bar stools, one broken. View from first floor balcony was blocked and all could see was trees. Neighbors are literally within reach if outside together - was awkward. Not a space for large group to eat together, so we were eating at the bar, our laps, and at the four-person table. After smelling the condo and looking around, it made you think the beds were dirty also, which was not very appealing. Master bed had something in it after pulling comforter off, so we requested a new mattress pad, which was delivered in less than 10 minutes. Overall, first impression was not good and we wanted to move.
After saying all that, once we got some air fresheners, our home-cooking infiltrated throughout the house, and the AC turned down to our liking, the placed worked fine and we all made the best of it. The showers were a hit with everyone (good pressure). The pool table supplied many hours of entertainment for the kids and adults. The pool hose was very helpful in cleaning off all beach items. The manager was very easy to talk to - he responded to questions and requests quickly. The charcoal grills and community patio area worked well for our meals. The location was perfect for walking to the beach (less than 2-minute walk), going to the shops, hitting up a few bars, and walking the strip.
In a nutshell, if they would make the inside look as nice as the outside looks, it would be a 5-star rating. Honestly, it made you feel dirty while you were there, but with a few good spirits and some laughter, we got over it :) We would not likely stay again, however, unless some upgrades were done on the inside.
