Great property, very spacious inside with great pool area, tennis court and badminton court. Its an older property, but very clean. Property in a great location, within walking distance of town. Would recommended particulary to a larger family group. Check in and out very easy and the owners were always at hand to answer any queries

Amazing traditional style portugese villa with all you could need for amazing family holiday

We hired both villas for a family of 18 and had an amazing time The villas are in an older style however they offer all you need for a great family holiday in a good location with easy access to town I would recommend these villas to anyone who wants to relax in amazing surroundings

Loved our stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at this villa. Check in was easy and straightforward and the villa is huge - 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The grounds are big too with 2 x tennis courts, a pool, a ping pong table and a small park. It is a little dated, but very clean and had everything that we needed. Only a 15 Minute walk to the centre. We will definitely look to stay here again. Thank you.

Great family home, ideal for large groups

Perfect villa for a large group or family. All the rooms are very generous in size with plenty of bathrooms. The tennis and badminton court are a real bonus even if not in pristine condition, what better way to active during your stay. The pool is excellent. The villa is a little "tired" but does represent fantastic value for money. The location also suited us well, a 15 minute walk into the town is perfect for walking to and more importantly back from your evening meal. Don't forget to walk the other way to the wonderful Restaurant de Milho which is only 5 minutes away. The villa is a few minutes drive from the intermarche supermarket which is great for stocking up for your holiday food and drink! We will definitely be returning!

very nice villa with lots of space

We can only recommend this house. The contact with the owners was smooth and uncomplicated, they were always available by email for questions. The house is spacious and well suited for a large family or two families or a group of friends. Large living room, large terrace with barbecue area, lots of garden and tennis court for work out. Nice pool, equipment is available. The house was immaculately clean and has 4 spacious bathrooms. In the kitchen all necessary utensils are available. The area is wonderful and full of villas with beautiful gardens, nice walkways to the town and the town beach. Shops are in the immediate vicinity. We had a great time here! thanks a lot!

Large villa with stunning pool

We spent 2 weeks in the villa and with 5 double bedrooms and 4 bathrooms(2 en-suite) there was plenty of space for 6 adults and 3 children.Although the villa is simply furnished there is everything you need and it was lovely and clean with plenty of clean towels/sheets etc.The outside space is great with a tennis court & badminton court that has a squash wall, this also doubled as a football pitch for our grand children there is also a table tennis table and basketball hoop and plenty of equipment for all of the activities plus there are also swings/slide/seesaw for younger children.Joao kept us well informed of everything and his parents kept the place ticking over and fixing any small problems like when the washer broke down his mum came in took all our washing washed it and ironed it as well!! then supplied us with a tray of fresh figs plus a basket of fresh mulberries to say sorry that the washer was broken(it was fixed early in the second week). The pool is stunning and lovely and clean in fact it was cleaned each week we were there, the grandchildren loved it and only got out to go to bed.Carvoeiro is a pretty little place with plenty of good places to eat it takes about 15mins to walk down to the town but we advise a taxi back as its all uphill the taxi was about 5-7 euros. The boardwalk above the town is worth a visit to see the stunning rock formations/caves etc and to watch the locals diving off the cliffs. We had a fantastic time and would recommend the villa to anyone .Thanks Joao for a lovey time please thank your mum and dad for all their hard work.Maureen & Stu.

Not as advertised

We spent two weeks here with friends coming from the UK at different times. We had the villa booked well in advance, however when we arrived the cleaner was still cleaning and continued to do so for over three hours, so we couldn't settle in. The cleaners husband which I think was the owners father then asked us for more money than what was agreed - we declined. As we approached the driveway we were horrified to find the condition of the tennis court it looked awful, the badminton court and its rotting net, which we were told was bought 40 years ago. The swimming pool was filthy so we couldn't use it for THREE days!! The water was so cloudy we couldn't see the shallow end tiles, it made us physically sick just looking into it. Also, the balcony and stairs leading to the pool could of done with a jet wash, these areas were awful to see. Additionally the BBQ was filthy and the portable one was rusty, unsafe and should of been disposed of. The two parasols by the pool were also broken, along with a few sun loungers. There was also rubble dumped by the pool house which is in the child's playground. There were two planks of wood left by the pool when we arrived, which I had to beg the father to move as these were dangerous and unsitely. In addition the bath downstairs used by three of our friends was continuously blocked, their toilet flush also didn't flush properly. The Jacuzzi bath also was "out of order" and appears to have been for some time. These are the few things I can remember and I think are totally unacceptable. We had invited a few friends to celebrate my landmark birthday, so it was very embarrassing to see the dismay on their faces when they also arrived. We have been staying in the Algarve for 30 years so we appreciate that some villas will be rustic, but I have to say this villa was way beyond that and extremely disappointing,. This is a holiday we will remember for all the wrong reasons. We tried to contact the owner whilst we were there, but he wasn't interested, and his parents spoke little English, which was a shame as he seemed to leave them to deal with everything, his mother who cleaned did do a great job cleaning, however his father was not approachable. You may see this villa on other website "villas to go" with beautiful photographs, but in reality these are not what the villa looks like, those photos seem to be about 30 years old, when the villa was built. 2 doors down is Villa Isabel/Vizinha same owner.
