This property is very special ! We will definitely be returning to this unit. Location, is awesome. ABC store, food market, fish market, shaved ice, great breakfast spots, unreal sunsets ….every night! Views of Molokai, and Lanai. Don’t hesitate, book it now.

Great Stay

The unit is as advertised, right at the water. Nicely updated and comfortable for 2 people. The community is low key and feels more populated by return guests and/or owners; lots of people knew each other. No hotel vibe, so no food or drink service available. You hear surf 24/7, often loud! Saw whales while sipping morning coffee every single day. Would happily return.

We had the best time. Only thing was there wasn’t enough toilet paper. So we bought some and left 9 rolls there. But our vacation was so beautiful. Second time at this property and we will be back. Mahola

Perfect first trip as a family of three

Second time we’ve been to this resort. First, for our babymoon and now as a family of three. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot! Beautiful views, quiet and very conveniently located. The unit was well stocked, clean and very comfortable.

Perfect Stay

My husband and I enjoyed our time at the Papakea and condo A206. The condo had everything we needed for our 10-day vacation, the location is perfect. We watched whales every morning off the Lanai while enjoying our coffee. I would recommend the condo to anyone wishing to have a memorable time in Maui.

Nice condo for the price. Not the Kaanapali beach location I thought it would be.

Condo was clean and location is fairly convenient. The property description says "is located right on famous Kaanapali Beach" and my mistake was thinking this meant we would be able to access the Kaanapali beach walk trail from our condo. We wanted to be able to WALK up and down the beautiful Kaanapali Beach, cart our chairs and towels out to the beach and chill without having to get in a car and drive there, and then deal with finding a place to park, which is VERY DIFFICULT. The actual the Kaanapali trail begins at Hanakao'o Beach Park and heads North, ending at the Duke's Beachhouse Restaurant at the Honua Kai Resort. Duke’s Restaurant is about a mile form the condo and not easily walkable while carrying beach gear on Honoapiilani Hwy. Beach access is an issue as most of the resorts make it very difficult and you will have to pay to park. Had I done my research I would never have chosen this unit. The property description is misleading. Another tip, if you have a late flight in you will want to stop and buy coffee for your first morning. The unit did not even have coffee for one complimentary pot. And it is not a Keurig coffee maker, I brought Keurig pods from home assuming that’s what it would be and I was wrong so no coffee on the lanai our first morning. Overall a good condo just not the location we were hoping for. Will do more research before or next trip to Maui.

Absolutely amazing stay

The lanai was amazing. We ate on it every morning and evening. The sunsets were amazing, and we saw whales every time we were out on the lanai. The pools were clean, the grounds were immaculate, and the activities were an unexpected bonus (I did the lei making). An ABC store and restaurants are within walking distance. If we are ever able to return we wouldn’t hesitate to book this studio again.

We enjoyed our stay and loved the views. Great location and well maintained. Our only suggestion would be a bit more privacy as curtains did not offer much privacy. Overall we had a wonderful stay.

Great spot

We loved staying at the papakea resort! We could watch the whales from our balcony. Everything was clean and spotless. Check in and out was painless. The grounds were beautiful. Heated pool and hot tub was a bonus! Would definitely stay again.

A great unit with amazing views. The unit was very clean and stocked with everything we needed from bbq tools to cooler bags and beach chairs. Highly recommend this unit. Well suited for a couple as it is a studio but plenty of room inside.

Perfect location. Right off the water

This was an excellent suite! It is in great condition and very well equipped! In fact, it has been renovated and has new cabinets, countertops and new shower. The breakfast bar was removed to open up the space. The interior small table was also removed, so my only negative was that there was no place to eat inside...although we loved eating g our meals on the lanai. Beautiful view of water and sunsets. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the surf and waves crashing. Such a great spot away from the center. We thoroughly enjoyed this room and location. (Note: beach umbrella was broken when we tried to use it, but wind at nearby beach was too much for that style of umbrella anyway.)
