Making New Memories is found on Hwy 180 headed towards the Fort and Tacky Jacks. Once considered a fish camp and now a small piece of luxury on the peninsula island many have come to know and love.

Our beach cottage is a 3 Bedroom / 2 Bath home sitting on a very private 1/2 acre of land. Just one street away from being ocean front. Relax on the front porch, feel the constant breeze, and enjoy your view of Mobile Bay. Relax on the back deck off of the King Master and Queen bedroom and enjoy the beauty of the Gulf of Mexico.

We purchased this little gem in March 2018 and remodeled the property in April and May of 2018. It boasts an open airy living room/dining room combination. All new appliances and furnishings.

Our home is taken care of by a dedicated team of individuals that are local to the area and will take care of just like you were family.

Please enjoy the pictures and call with any inquiries that you may have.
We hope to be chosen as your next vacation destination.

New in 2023 heated pool option is available for your stay. Charge for heating the pool is $300/week. Heating the pool is NOT recommended for winter months as the heater is only capable of heating the water so much. Refunds will NOT be given.

Golf cart is NOT included with the property! A golf cart is available on the property for a charge of $400/week. Golf cart rentals are also available through a local company called island carts golf cart rentals!

This place was amazing. My husband I stayed there with our 4 kids (17, 15, 14, 12), there was plenty of room. The days we were there, of course, was cooler than normal, but the heated pool was a life saver, we enjoyed it so much. It was just a short walk/drive to the amazing beach

Our stay was perfect for me and hubby and our dog. VERY clean, easy check in. The pool was amazing! The home is very private with a nice private yard and grass for my girl to play ball. We went to the beach and walked- approx 5 min walk. (Lessons learned: i will bring a wagon next time so not carrying all my beach bags, drinks, etc.) Also, we loved going to Tacky Jack's bc we could bring our dog. Very enjoyable!

Loved the pool. Great option to the beach that could be crowded at times. The house was very pet friendly and loved that we could take our pet with us to Tacky Jacks right down the road. Beach supplies at rental were a huge plus as well.
The umbrella was perfect for Trixi.

Wonderful Stay!

Loved this beach house! It had nice views. We enjoyed the decks and the pool. As a con, you do have to go on the main road for a little to get to the beach as other reviewers mention.

I understand that things can get overlooked and the following items are not complaints, but observations. These are things that may help the next travelers enjoy their stay a little more. *I suggest someone should update the map as to show where the golf cart can be driven. The current map indicates a path that is no longer there, houses have been built and it is not passable. *There were areas of the house that had not been cleaned for some time. There was a water bottle stuck in the couch from the previous tenants and a lot of dirt/dust in some areas.*We found A LOT of dirty dishes. Items (dishes, cutlery, and pans) looked as though they had not been washed since there were previously used. I speculate that the cleaning service put dishes away thinking they were clean, but were not.*The bathroom sink in the master bedroom drains extremely slow. Probably needs a good cleaning or draino. *Instructions on use of the outside lights and pool lights was never conveyed to us. Not a big deal but would have been helpful without me having to send an email to ask.*On the Thursday before our vacation ended, there was some work done on the pool pump. The next day the pool was so full of water, the water level was over the skimmer. This meant there were tons of bugs and grass clippings in the water that could not go through the skimmer. Plus the workers left a mess of broken tubing on the deck under the house. I am telling you this to let you know we did not make that mess.

Great Stay

The house was very nice, loved the location and the pool. Rent the golf cart, it will make your beach trips effortless. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was stocked well, everything was very clean!

Great location, beautiful house, awesome time!

Beautiful Beach

This property is just as pictured. Very clean, private location, and just a short walk to the beautiful, uncrowded beach. The pool would be great for kids in warmer months.

Peace and Quiet

Since we weren't directly on the beach, having the private pool was great. The house was beautiful, plenty of towels and blankets. We loved the balconies and the privacy. The house had just about everything you'd need in a great vacation stay!

Amazing vacation house!

We had so much fun! The house was exactly how the pictures are and the pool was amazing! Short drive or walk to the beach 🏖 the house was extremely clean and had everything we needed. We will rent this house again! Thanks for everything Holly!

2 couples have come together to form MNM Properties LLC. Pat and Bonnie Murphy who already own and rent two homes in the Surf Side Shores Subdivision since 2004 decided in 2017 it was time to invest in another piece of property but wanted to find investors that would love the area just as they do. They pitched this idea to Ben and Holly Millman and together they bought the "Fish Camp" in March 2018.

The home is cared for by local individuals in the area. There is a local Property Manager and Maintenance Manager that oversee the property for MNM. This group is here to make sure you have a wonderful experience while at Making New Memories and we are hoping you will do just that - make memories that will last a life time and will continually call you back to our little piece of heaven on earth
