Beautiful Finger Lakes

The house was just what we wanted. Lots of space to walk the dogs.House is very well equipped and everything we needed was there. Great location in the middle of the vineyards with many wineries, breweries and distillaries close by. The ride on Pat II was a wonderful way to see the lake.

Loved the house! The location is awesome! So close to so many wineries, breweries, hiking, shops. The house was very clean, kitchen was stocked well, lots of spices! Keurig coffee was provided! Beds were pretty comfy. Loved the big tub! Fire pit was nice! Only complaints, and I would not call them that, but there is no view of the lake unless you walk to the end of the driveway, and there is no washer and dryer, which was not an issue for us either! Loved that we could take our pups as well!

Loved Our 'Escape by a Lake' near Hammondsport

Thank you for a wonderful stay at your 'Escape to a Lake' property near Hammondsport. The house was very clean and roomy (especially loved the large open kitchen and great room area and the master bedroom/bath was amazing too). We had a wonderful time exploring the area (Keuka Lake and local wineries and breweries). We had an even better time later at night sitting outside by the firepit. So many fun memories and laughs. Would definitely recommend and hopefully we will be back!

Beautiful location and views

We had a girls weekend. It was close to wineries, restaurants and even a distillery. The house was well stocked with everything you need. Kitchen was a great size and open to the living room. 2 grills, a fire ring, outdoor table on a patio. You can watch the sunrise in the front of the house and sunset from the back. Highly recommend this property.

Lovely location by Keuka Lake

The property was very nice and had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend away. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely think about renting this house again.

Too short of a stay

Matt allowed us to check in early on Monday after camping in Watkins Glen all weekend with a 5 and 1 year old. Exhausted and in need of relaxation was an understatement! I felt very comfortable opening up the door to see sanitizing wipes, hand sanitizer, masks and cleaning spray. It was throughout the house too! The bath in the master is huge and great to bathe two kids in! Go to Bully Hill Vineyards for lunch/wine tasting! Soak in the bath yourself. Watch the sunset from the back patio and take pictures of the gorgeous views. Unwind with a glass of wine on the front patio Adirondack chairs with a campfire while your son laughs and watches a toad hop in the stack of firewood. Two days was just too short to enjoy the area and all the wonderful sites. Thank you Matt!

Great Retreat!

We rented this property for friends for our sons wedding and they said it was just wonderful. A spacious quiet retreat for them between wedding functions. They said it was clean and very comfortable. Perfect for visiting with their other family members.

Excellent location to explore the Finger Lakes area

The house is in a great location to explore the area around the Finger Lakes region. Many state parks and wineries are within 20 minutes to an hour drive. Niagara Falls area is about 2 1/2 hours away. The house was spacious enough for our family of 6 people. It was clean and appeared to be well taken care of. The window A/C units struggled a bit on the very hot and humid day that we arrived, but the house cooled down as soon as the temperature dropped that evening. Having 2 full bathrooms was a definite plus, although we had to make sure to spread our showering schedule out to not overwhelm the hot water heater. The owner was very quick to respond to our questions. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. There are just a couple things you should keep in mind. First, make sure you write the WiFi password down before getting into the house area, as cell phone signal is almost non-existent there (WiFi was excellent). Second, make sure you bring enough clothes, as the nearest laundromat is about 20 minutes away. We will consider staying here again the next time.

Wonderful location. Great house. Fantastic views. We enjoyed the house and plan on going back.

Great home, easy to get to, fantastic views all around. Central to wineries, shopping, and the lakes. Hammondsport is a great town to wonder around in. Five of us lived in this house very comfortably. We plan on returning at some point.
