Hi, I’m Jake! I’ve lived in Albuquerque most of my life, and its wide-open spaces, mountain views, and unforgettable sunsets still make me appreciate calling it home. Sharing that experience with guests is one of the things I enjoy most about hosting.

Before becoming a host, I spent 27 years in retail management with a major retailer. That experience taught me to listen, anticipate needs, and pay attention to the details that make people feel welcome. Today, I bring that same care to preparing our homes and helping guests enjoy a comfortable, memorable stay.

My wife and I have been married for over 25 years, and we have two wonderful daughters. We love traveling as a family, whether we’re exploring somewhere new or relaxing by a lake, river, or beach. Our travels continue to shape my approach to hosting: I want to offer the cleanliness, comfort, thoughtful touches, and responsive communication I appreciate when I’m away from home.

I’m happy to share local restaurant favorites, suggest an outdoor adventure, or help with questions during your stay. I respond promptly to calls, texts, and emails while respecting your privacy and giving you space to settle in.

Balloon Fiesta Park is only about five minutes away under normal driving conditions, making this a wonderful home base for the Fiesta. Event traffic requires an earlier start, but the proximity is a real advantage. When flight paths and weather cooperate, you may even see hot-air balloons floating directly over the house—a memorable way to experience Albuquerque!

With I-25 less than a mile away, exploring the city or heading north for a day in Santa Fe is straightforward. Whether you’re here for a special event, a family visit, or a relaxing getaway, this neighborhood offers what I value most: a welcoming place to come home to, close to the experiences that make New Mexico special.

What makes this home special is the combination of comfortable gathering spaces, a desirable Northeast Heights setting, and easy access to Albuquerque’s best experiences.

Balloon Fiesta is a particular highlight. With Balloon Fiesta Park nearby, you have a convenient home base for early-morning launches and evening glows. When weather and flight paths cooperate, balloons may drift directly over the house or land nearby—creating unforgettable moments without even leaving the neighborhood.

Inside, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a separate heated and cooled sunroom give your group flexibility. The sunroom features a desk and a twin daybed with a trundle, with privacy shades on its windows and the French doors connecting it to the primary bedroom. A shaded patio with a barbecue grill invites relaxed meals together, while the two-car garage and provided remote make coming and going easy.

Walk to Tin Can Alley for local food and craft beer, or enjoy nearby North Domingo Baca Park. Restaurants, shopping, and everyday essentials are close by, while Sandia Resort & Casino and the Sandia Mountains offer opportunities for golf, spa time, entertainment, hiking, biking, and a memorable tram ride.

With I-25 less than a mile away, you’re also well positioned to explore Albuquerque or plan day trips to Santa Fe, Cochiti Lake, and the Jemez Mountains.
