The unit is quite dated. For example, all of the appliances need to be updated, particularly the fridge which has a large sticker-type wear stain on the front and a completely broken vegetable bin. For the price being charged for the unit, it's also time to switch out the formica countertops. Even the collection of some 100+ DVDs shows the age of the unit. My wife was particularly displeased with the cable, which only carried the local stations and a handful of others. Also, in the master bath, the faucet was basically inoperable, with it not being properly attached, and the cold handle not really working at all. There is also no pantry, nor even space to put groceries, which we found to me a significant inconvenience. We did like the lanai, except the for TV which is on it, which we couldn't turn on. The unit is also in need of some basic TLC, some painting, changing of light bulbs which were burnt out (with no replacements), replacing spent remote batteries (again no replacements), etc. We do like Sunset Captiva and have stayed in units there a number of times.
