We had a lovely time

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and i stayed a week at My Hideaway for a get away. The home was the cleanest I've ever seen. Made it so comfortable to be in. You could tell everything was sanitized. All the comforts of home were provided. That bed... omg, that bed is so comfortable. Cooking was easy with everything possible supplied. Relaxing on sofa with pillows and large tv with all the channels. Some beach items were there. Chairs and small cooler. Pool was amazing with good lounging. Recommend to go across the bridge and get bag of fresh oysters and cook them poolside on the grill. Amazing time with the sound of the ocean. Very short walk to the beach. Not crowded. Very slow paced. Not touristy at all. I felt safe. Set up our tent on the beach in the morning. Could leave it to eat lunch and not worry that anyone was gonna bother it. We had breakfast and lunch in the condo and went to dinner most every evening. But could cook gormet meal in that kitchen. The only thing i would wish was provided would be a throw blanket for the sofa. We loved this condo and St George Island. We will be back.

Von der nervigen, lauten Baustelle abgesehen ein schöner Aufenthalt

Wir haben uns in der Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Wenn etwas gefehlt hat, wurde es schnell geliefert. Tolle Lage am schönen Strand und eine gute Pool Area. 2 Fahrräder und 2 Strandstühle vorhanden. Leider war vom 1. Tag an eine Baustelle. Die Dächer rundum wurden erneuert. Dadurch war es überall sehr laut. Am Pool; am Strand, auf der Terrasse. Das ging die ganze Woche so - jeden Tag bis zum Sonnenuntergang. Wir waren nur noch genervt. Angeblich war das vorher nicht bekannt, was wir nicht glauben. Wir buchen extra eine sehe ruhige Insel , weil wir wirklich Ruhe und Erholung nötig hatten - und dann das. Sehr schade !

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We we had a wonderful week at My Hideaway J4. This is the fist time we've come without our whole family so we needed something for just the two of us, this townhouse was perfect! Great location, less than a 5 min walk to the beach. Surrounded by beautiful well maintained grounds ans pool. The pool was really nice. Great view of grounds and pool from our balcony, enjoyed meals out there often. The bed and pillows were amazing and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, cookware and bakeware, however not a cooking supply (salt, pepper oil) in site. I know this is advertised or required but this is the first rental we've stayed at in SGI without those things. The a/c is also very loud when kicking on and off, but did work well throughout the unit. We would definitely stay here again as well as possibly different units in the complex. Very quiet and peaceful, hated to leave. We had two very minor appliance issues but Forgotten Shores fixed them quickly and efficiently with kindness! We have stayed with them before and highly recommend the company.

Killer Bed!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: So wanted to love this condo unit, which was so cute. It has everything you could possibly want, except a decent bed sadly. Both of us were not able to enjoy our time as much as we had anticipated because of the tropical storm weather upon arrival, so we thought why not enjoy sleeping in that first night. My husband never complains of back problems but actually tried switching the mattress around from foot to top, come morning. That did no good. I actually took pain medication to try to sleep on this killer bed and finally bunked out on the couch. Another person had reviewed this property and pointed out how awful the bed was, but I ignored their advice as I usually find that there is always a complainer among all of the good reviews. I wish I had heeded their warning and booked elsewhere in that complex. It was our anniversary, and we were looking forward to a great time at a great location on the beach. I truly hope the owner gets a new mattress or at least a mattress topper as this one is just plain worn out! Please take my advice.

Great property

Loved the condo and location near state park. But the bed was too soft, so unlikely to stay here again unless it is replaced with a firmer mattress.

great location, great view

the unit is steps from the beach... great deck with a view of the ocean so a great spot for morning coffee and an afternoon cocktail. We had a great stay.

Missing Items

Got there late & in the rain to find no ice. Had to go back out to find ice. No condiments whatsoever - not even a packet of salt! Never found the beach towels. Outside stairs are dark - solar lights not working. One very small roll of toilet paper for a place that held 4 people?? And the fridge was blocking cabinets that you could not open. Not a working clock in the place. Not only run the dishwasher but put all the dishes up and take out all your trash. I know it’s nit picky but we have stayed at VRBO’s that were better accommodations at a lesser rate.
