We were stranded in Denver Airport because of weather. We were supposed to check in on Wednesday 2/23/22, but didn’t make it until Friday 2/25/22 at 3am. When we arrived, the home and neighborhood was completely dark. They had just had a recent ice storm and we barely made it up the small knoll yard to the ice covered porch/steps with our luggage. The concrete drive driveway was solid ice as well, so we parked on the street. No attempts to salt or clear the steps/porch, making it extremely dangerous to access. Thank God there were rails to hold on to.
The house was nice, and seemed clean, but has a musty/old odor when you first enter. Beds were comfy, but pillows were flat. Master shower is amazing. Kitchen is nice, but we didn’t use it. Not much in the way of hospitality, as I have experienced with other rental owners (no snacks, drinks, etc). There were a few Tide pods, and some generic shampoo, conditioner, and shower soap (we used our own). No mattress pad on the king bed, which made the sheets slide terribly. Smoke detector broken/partially missing in master bedroom. The bathroom floors were incredibly cold, despite the room temperature being warm.
Overall, it’s a nice place. I would probably stay again.
