Hi. I am a US Army veteran, mom and a grandmother, avid gardener, world traveler and animal lover, married for 38 years to a retired Army officer. We enjoyed living in the Washington DC area for many years before settling down in Fort Worth Texas. I love collecting antiques and have a small antiques shop in Ft Worth. We travel with VRBO when we can and love to have the extra space and comfort of a home versus a hotel.

We purchased this adorable home to be near our first grandchild without having to upset the balance in their home. We have struggled to find short term rentals that have enough comfortable space and that will accept our 2 German Shepherds and 2 kitties. We wanted to share our pet friendly home with other folks who travel with fur babies.

We love this house for so many reasons-it's ranch style allows for anyone to easily manage without steps or carpeting ( great for a walker), it's large, beautiful, fully fenced backyard with giant trees is fabulous for the dogs. We love to have coffee in the bright and spacious sun room where you can open the glass doors to feed and watch the birds, squirrels and chipmunks. There is a nice little den/office for quiet work or reading. The house is so close to everything! Within 2 miles in any direction you can find wonderful restaurants, great local parks, shopping for clothing, antiques, or food. There is a very active downtown scene with many breweries and an arts area. With a short drive you can also visit several wineries.
